We are just leaving Inverness now, but hope to be back soon. The same applies to Doric House. A warm welcome awaits you from Jamie and his lovely family who also stay there. The room was a good size with a bed more comfortable than the one we have at home! You serve your own breakfast at a time that suits you... always a great start to the day. Doric House is situated on a very quiet road with the city centre only about 5 minutes walk away, offering a great variety of places to eat and drink. Jamie also has a wealth of knowledge about Inverness and the surrounding area and gave us helpful tips on where to go. Doric House is a wee gem of a place due to its location and homely feel - we will definitely remember celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in Inverness.

No complaints.

Just about everything was perfect during my visit. The accommodation I booked was great for my needs. I slept well and also found the shower to be lovely, particularly after a very wet and cold Inverness Half Marathon in March 23. Breakfast was good - just the right amount and enough to keep me going for the morning. Jamie and his family were great hosts - there when I needed them and very discreet. Unfortunately our paths did not cross much but I think every visitor will enjoy your time at Doric.

There are a significant number of uphill steps from the railway station to Doric House. This was fine for me but may be a challenge for less mobile visitors. Probably worth mentioning this to guests who may be arriving by train. I'd also suggest some blackout curtains as the days get longer at last.

A home away from home, as Jamie says. A wonderful place to stay, spotless and has everything you might need. Perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood but a few minutes walk from the city centre, train station, bus stops, Inverness castle, shops and restaurants. Jamie and the family are lovely and incredibly welcoming people, happy to share tips and offer help where possible. We would definitely recommend Doric House if you're looking for a nice and friendly place to stay in Inverness.

Nothing to mention.

Jamie and his familie were the best hosts we had so far on our Scotland tour. Even us arriving later in the day was no problem. We were welcomed super friendly (and Jamie even helped us take the bags to the room). The rooms are super comfy and we got everything we needed. The breakfast had plenty of fresh fruit, cereal and everything you might need. If we return sometime soon to Inverness we would love to stay at Doric House again.

Location was very quiet and in a residential area. The room was big and cosy. The bed was really comfortable and really enjoyed a good night sleep. Breakfast was good and fresh to fill you up for your roadtrips. Jamie was an exceptional host and his knowledge of Scotland made it even better!

The shower a bit small, but that should not hold anyone back from booking this property.

the room, facilities and bed were so clean and comfortable , the food was exceptional . you can walk into Inverness city centre from the house which is great. Jamie is an amazing host very friendly and welcoming and recommended loads of places to visit that we would have missed. nothing is too much trouble for Jamie and it was lovely joining everyone in the mornings to have breakfast together. the food was fresh and tasty, the freshly baked croissants every morning were delicious ! thank you for an amazing stay

if I am being really picky then I would say the pillows were too soft but I am sure if we had asked Jamie would have changed them

Our room was very comfortable and well equipped. Jamie and Heather we exceptional hosts and made us feel like part of the family. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. The location was perfect, close to great pubs and a short walk to town center.

Can't think of anything. Our room was at the top so quite a few stairs to climb and at the end of a long day of walking it was a little tough

Jamie is a wonderful host! Very kind, helpful and funny! Breakfast was an absolute delight with fresh fruit, warm pastries, cereal, toast, Brie, meats, yogurt and more!! Lovely comfy bed, clean cozy room! Cookies!!! So close to town, lovely walking distance! Perfect spot to embark on your adventures from.

Towels could be softer and a washcloth handy. Otherwise excellent!!

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Doric House! Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming and they gave us a lot of tips on what to do and where to go. We were even able to have our laundry washed for a very small fee. Breakfast was provided every day and you could eat as much as you want. The rooms were also amazing and had a lot of cool gimmicks (towel dryer I'm looking at you). All in all we can only recommend this hotel to everyone who's looking for a comfortable getaway!

We were greeted with famous Highlands hospitality by the owner Jamie and his family and showed to our room which had a welcome sign with my name which is one of the plenty nice touches you experience here that make you feel welcome. The room was spotless, comfortable and has everything one needs, and the bathroom looks brand new. We enjoyed the breakfast both in contents and atmosphere which was complimented nicely with chats with Jamie about how to make the most of our stay and what options do we have given our interests. We really enjoyed his helpful friendly “thinking along” attitude and overall this truly made a batter stay for us because his recommendations were top notch. We can definitely recommend anyone to stay at Jamie’s and we’ll be sure to return when we’re back in Inverness to explore more of the area.
