Easy to find. Free onsite parking. Railway station nearby. Quiet room for 3, well ventilated on arrival. Soft but comfortable beds - great sleep. Thick blinds kept light out and a good ambient temperature in. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff all round. Ample refreshments with good hot chocolate, coffee pods and selection of teas in the room.

The over bath shower had a very high step over to access - I didn't use it. Also the shampoo/shower gel dispenser was situated high on the wall and had to be squeezed into a cup for my daughter's use. Same for the sink. The dispenser was a long arm reach. Have come across the same ones elsewhere and, whilst excellent to save on wastage, they are hard to squeeze with one hand even when easily accessible. The lift is tiny and has a metal concertina inner door. Only used to it once to bring luggage up.

All very convenient. Good location close to the train station. We travelled by car but signposts to the station made it easy to find the hotel itself. Good sized carpark and free parking at the hotel. Friendly helpful staff and a good breakfast on the following morning. We did not make use of the bar but it was there had we needed it. All round a positive experience and we are likely to stay there again.

Since our room faced out onto the road outside there was some traffic noise and early in the morning quite a lot of noise from deliveries to the hotel being unloaded from the roadside. We were pleased that there was a lift but the lift itself is rather small and antiquated with a slightly rough opening and closing door action when inside. ("Stand well back" visitors are warned).

Everything really. The location and the building itself are perfect. All of the staff I had contact with were friendly and helpful, even during busy times. Food (when I ate there) was very nice, kind of place you go back to to eat, even if you're not staying there. Definitely one of my top places to stay, and I basically live in hotels because of work.

Nothing. Street access without going through the pub! PIN controlled re-entrance! Sorry to use the bad bit to say more good stuff, but I rarely come across a place where I have absolutely nothing negative to say.

Very pleasant hotel & helpful staff and chatty, but not overly so. Plenty of staff about, particularly at breakfast. Room was lovely, beds comfy, decent sized bathroom. Breakfast was very welcome, the dining area is quite spacious, lots of tables, but dividers made it feel more comfortable and cosy, but still light and airy. Teeny tiny lift is not worth a "dislike", but as advised usable but more of a luggage lift.

Check-in took a while, but that's it, everything else was great.

We stayed here for 1 night, parking was onsite and the hotel was so easy to get too. Location is excellent for visiting town centre which is on your doorstep. Hitchin was only a 10 minute drive. Clean and friendly staff who were very welcoming and helpful.

Please tell your guests that they can choose from the breakfast menu( free) my daughter thought she had t pay extra and did not have a cooked breakfast. I asked and was told it was included in our stay .

The location is good, and the room was clean. With Morrisons next door, it means that newspapers and toiletries (not provided by the hotel) are close at hand.

Summer duvet in the winter, during a really cold spell! Trying to find the light switch with a torch as no instructions were provided. The light switches are actually on the bedside cabinet, not exactly an obvious location! The breakfast was good enough, but the Saturday morning buffet, some of the food was standing too long and was cold. This could have been an excellent stay. It was let down by things that would be really easy to rectify.

I thought the room was clean, tidy and comfortable. I particularly enjoyed being able to eat breakfast outside on the patio on a nice summer morning. The location is excellent, close to the train station and the town centre itself.

It would be hard to criticise anything about the place. Although the room was a little on the small side, I felt like it still represented good value for money. A little more choice of healthier food for breakfast would have been nice.

I was so happy the lady kept me in the same room for two nights she couldn't for the third night I had to move to the single room. I can honestly say that is one of the ost comfortable beds ever. I was in my room and heard a guitarist playing an accounting guitar live entertainment it was perfect. The breakfast was amazing and they put 2 tea bags in the pot without me asking it was wonderful. I can't fault the place its situated in a gorgeous place. A coffee machine too.

The shower dripped a bit and I couldn't tighten it but I wouldn't say I didn't like it because the water was hot.

Location is superb and right in the centre itself with a variety of different shops. Greeted by a friendly member of staff who was most welcoming. Has the feel of a very relaxed environment. The room itself was very clean and was perfect for my 1 night overnight work trip. Slept extremely well. Used the restaurant and bar for food, no complaints and was value for money. Will definitely be back again when I return just after the summer.

Clean, comfortable and very spacious room (considering it was a Single). Decent bathroom, and a filling buffet breakfast in the morning. I used the hotel mainly as an overnight stop prior to going to the Shuttleworth Collection near Biggleswade the next day, but its location right in the town centre meant I could sample the delights of Letchworth in the evening as well.

The door to the room was not soundproofed at all so I genuinely thought I'd left the door open when I heard someone else out in the corridor late in the evening. Also, bring earplugs in case there is a function going on downstairs - there was quite loud bassy music coming from outside until around midnight. As for the rooms, mine had clearly been updated quite recently, whereas my friend's was, in his words, "in desperate need of refurbishment" so I think it is a bit of a lottery which room you get given.
