Hotel is beautiful, gorgeous surroundings and very peaceful. Room was immaculate but could do with a fridge and an upgrade on the mattress. It felt quite old and the springs were coming through slightly. The reception staff were lovely and very pleasant.

The restaurant staff were a bit all over the show and didn’t really know what they were doing. The food however was unreal so no complaints from that side but the staff think we’re all knew to the job and got a couple of things wrong. Breakfast to the room was 20 minutes late and with us having to be in a meeting for 9am it made things a little rushed.

Lovely location and grounds. Welcoming staff. Super pool and spa treatment facilities which my wife enjoyed. Good breakfast and again lovely staff. Crown pub with great restaurant down the road better than hotel restaurant.

The restaurant area is not great as was some of the food which was underwhelming. No beers served on so called health grounds given wine and cocktails served. The bedrooms are small as are bathrooms. Overpriced for what you get. Treatments are way too overpriced even though my wife enjoyed. I think we pay to stay at a top end place that in reality isn’t all as it seems. Nice place but not that spectacular.

I did not eat or partake in any of the excellent activities on offer at Champneys. I really enjoyed the setting of the hotel. Peaceful and serene. Outstanding for just wandering around the grounds. The room was comfy and the toilet was of good size.

I would love every hotel in the world to have a Nespresso machine in each room. Alas this hotel did not put one in my room. Not putting anything else down as they are doing it right.!

Staff were fabulous throughout the stay, very attentive and great service whenever something was needed. I had a facial with Tatiana which was the best experience and more than I could have hoped for. She was truly amazing not just at the treatment but a fabulous lady.

The steam room and the hot room were both broken which resulted in not being able to use the spa facilities which were paid for in full. It would have been nice to have been told about this at point of payment or if this was not the case a polite notice to guests at point of knowledge. The ladies toilets had a seat broken on the floor again with no notification. The menu options were quite limited but as expected given it is a health spa.

The location was stunning, evoking the atmosphere of a historical TV show. Furthermore, the breakfast was exceptionally delicious.

Regrettably, the room lacked an air conditioner, and due to the absence of a mosquito net, I couldn't open the window. Additionally, it was a bit distant from the train station.

The facilities were really great, and so was the staff. we liked the greenness of the area and its proximity to where we live, as well as to the town - it was convenient to have a walk to the nearby pub

We would have liked to have 1) air-con, 2) hair drier and 3) a better functioning sink in our room (no 94) - the sink seemed a bit clogged

Literally everything! From the friendly, kind and professional staff to the room overlooking the waterfalls, the spa facilities and the food.

Amazing gardens and communal areas. Really relaxed atmosphere and it was not busy. Total blackout room blinds meant we had an excellent sleep. Comfy bed and good room.

Would have been nice if the jacuzzi was warm, or even if there was one outside so you could admire the beautiful garden from the warmth!
