I did not realise that the apartment was actually the basement of the house - well planned use of the area with an abundance of space. Local cafes / restaurants are good - excellent location and interesting shops. Vicki was very friendly and happy to show us the facilities and keen for us to contact her if we needed anything.

The seating looked good but was not really practical. Designed like a day bed, the sofa had a back only on one side - sitting two people together was awkward. Only one small cushion - a couple more would have been useful.

Victoria's place is simply beautiful, very elegant and it's obvious the hosts have a lot of taste. But it's also very homely, which is a not so common combinaison. We felt at home instantly and enjoyed having drinks around the coffee table as we were in our own home. The flat is also ideally located, in the heart of Lewes, close to shops, pubs and restaurants. There's a bus stop right down the building too. And a parking spot 2 minutes walk from the entrance door. Victoria was also extremely useful, pleasant and friendly. We'll definitely book again in the future.

My grandmother struggled a bit to go up the stairs. But she said it was worth it!

Lovely spacious room at the top of the house with very comfortable bed. The little kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee , yoghurt, fruit and milk was a bonus. An excellent selection of books to browse. Short walk from Riverside Brasserie for a great breakfast.

It was no problem for us but the stairs might be a bit much for the less fit. The friends who came with us had the downstairs room which had great facilities but was a bit dark.

I received instructions on how to access the property by text as the owners were away; everything we needed to know was given in the text and all went smoothly. The text explained that the accommodation was at the very top of the building and, from previous experience on our trip, I visualised being in the roof space, banging my head – I couldn’t have been more wrong. The room was very spacious and immaculately appointed – everything from the sheets to the towels to the kitchen implements was to the highest standard we have experienced, probably anywhere, ever. The accommodation and bathroom was spotlessly clean; it was very comfortable and very quiet. Parking is up a small passageway close to the property – this is very easy to miss (we did) so be alert. The let was on an accommodation-only basis but the owners had left some goodies in the fridge for breakfast and relaxation, which were much appreciated. The location is ideal for exploring Lewes – unfortunately, we had only booked one night as a break to our journey; we should definitely have made it a longer stay – but we hope to return one day and we won’t even consider anywhere else but Montys.

Excellent Location to explore the little town of Lewes. Room was really well designed and decorated with plenty of reading material and very well lit. Bed was extremely comfortable. The view from the room was quite nice with a really nice shuttered window view next to the bathroom component. The placement of the bathtub behind a partition in the main bedroom is quite a romantic feature and makes the room perfect for couples/romantic liaisons.

It was quite dusty in corners and on the shelfs- I'm allergic to dust so this wasn't ideal.

The location was very central and within easy reach of everything Lewes had to offer plus the wedding venue which we needed to get to. Vicky was an absolutely wonderful host, I have been in touch with her for a few months as I needed to make some alterations to the booking and she was incredibly helpful and responsive. She even provided a taxi company's number after everyone we had previously called let us down. Lifesaver! All instructions were clear, to the point and ensured a smooth check-in. The room itself was breathtaking. I mean, WOW! High ceilings, great lighting, beautifully decorated and with everything that we needed (including a chilled G&T and fresh fruit for the muesli). We were beyond impressed and so lucky that we found this place. The fan was so needed in the hot weather and ensured that we had a peaceful night's sleep. The whole place looked immaculate and well cared for. We will definitely try to come back for a longer stay!

It does not include breakfast but does provide facilities including refrigerator, kettle and nespresso machine. The general decor was impressively stylish and the range of interesting books is amazing. Considerable thought and care has gone into the apartment's design.

Three flights of stairs (becasuse of personal disabilities) - will be my first choice next time but will book early to see if I can get the lower room.

It was a very central location, with a parking space which is a major advantage for Lewes. The apartment was clean and very well appointed with quirky and effective decor. The complimentary food items were fresh and good quality and very welcome. It's light and airy, the bathtub was a lovely touch.

The shutter on the window by the bathtub was awkward to close.

Vicky was vas friendly, welcoming, and easy to communicate with. Made to feel very welcome. Spacious and extremely comfortable, very good facilities; had I wished to cook it would have been a pleasure.

Its a basement flat without exterior view, my wife thought it gloomy. Personally I was comfortable and made to feel welcome.

Absolutely beautiful room in a very central location. We stayed in Lewes for a special occasion and the host was so welcoming and accommodating. There is a private parking space very close and everything is the room is so thoughtfully considered.
