I loved this old preserved building, the inside was very well kept. The staff was super friendly and showed appreciation that I was a guest. The location is fantastic, whereas it is right in the centre of the city, short walking distance to everything. The room was pretty good, just that some of the furniture was quite old, the bed was very comfortable. All towels were very nice and were replaced after every day with cleaning service. In the room there was a nice supply of coffee/teas and biscuits everyday. The room was quite large and plenty of room to move around in.

There wasn't anything that I disliked a lot, I mentioned that some of the furniture was older looking but it did't hinder my stay.

We loved how central the hotel was to everything, the staff were very friendly and answered any questions we had. The room was basic but was told they are half way through a refurb but the room was clean and the beds comfortable and for the price we paid for two night it was perfect. We have to give a special shout out to Andrew who looked after us from the min we arrived, he is a credit to the hotel. He qlways had a smile on his face and happy to help us with whatever we needed, from bringing our bags in from the car, settling us into our room and then telling us where to go and what to see. Then at the bar he made sure we were always looked after and was a nice touch that he remembered our names and drinks order 😂 xxx

Can't fault the hotel, perfect location and well worth what we paid.

Everything, the location, the amazing staff, the feeling of staying with friends and of course "The Orchard Pig". The building has quite a history as it was the site of the liverpool bank and some of the original features are still there, but sadly not available to the public. A BIG shout out to Elliot,Kirsty,Rhe and Andrew who made my stay memorable in the nicest way. A very special mention to John, the maintenance engineer and unofficial historian whose knowledge of the Sir Thomas is phenomenal. 100% on all fronts, I will definitely return,

The staff on reception were very welcoming and extremely helpful, as they were able to efficiently accommodate my request to relocate us to a room with twin beds with no fuss. The room was clean and comfortable and despite being informed by the hotel in advance about potential renovation disruptions, we were undisturbed by this. The hotel was in an excellent location in the city centre, and a good choice for an overnight stay.

The decor was a bit tired, but in fairness the hotel is undergoing renovations. The windows weren't double glazed so let in a lot of sound from outside; we were awoken by late night revellers in the street below a few times.

The position of the hotel is perfect. Only a short walk from Matthew Street /the cavern club. Even though you are in the heart of everything, you don't get noise disturbance. We didn't use any of the other facilities as there was so much going on in Liverpool. However, everything looked very clean.

The bathroom was small. Not a problem for us but if you are a larger person, you could struggle getting into the shower or moving around in general. We weren't notified of renovations that were going on, during our stay. This was on the floor we were staying on. It didn't cause a problem but I could see that if a family with young children were there, it could cause problems as the equipment was on the corridor.

most of the hotel was very good, those parts that are refurbished, the rest is a little tatty. The staff were very cheerful and helpful.

as a consequence of the bizarre decision of the hotel not to quote for or allow 2 consecutive nights to be booked, two separate bookings were made but, despite promises made on booking in that I could stay in the same room, and in breach of that verbal contract, when the time came, I was asked for an additional £70 to stay there, which resulted in a move to a room which was as welcoming and comfortable as a 1950’s back street B&B. Dreadful.

Great location Excellent breakfast

No air conditioning which meant leaving the window open that wasn't good at 4am when the local gay bars emptied and the screaming and shouting on the streets below commenced

Staff were so polite and very welcoming . We arrived a little early for check in and the receptionist was so lovely she took our bags and put them away so we didn’t have to carry around the city. Equally the same girl did the very same after check out, we had a few hours before been collected and again she offered to store our bags. It might seem like a small thing but it was very much appreciated. Having lived in the area previously I can safely say it has a really nice bar and great selection of fine gins. It was a bar I visited quiet a lot over my time living in Liverpool and well worth a visit. Definitely will return again!!

Can’t say I experienced anything I didn’t like. knowing the city and area like I do , my only thing I would imagine is rooms at front maybe a little bit noisier at busy weekends. But you are prime location so that is to be expected

Location was excellent for everything shops bars restaurants and Mathew Street. The room was very comfortable bathroom with large walk in shower. The beds were two singles put together so plenty of room and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice.

The furniture in the rooms were quite dated as was the carpet should really have been updated before now but they are apparently refurbishing at the moment. The breakfast area looked ok but the floor looked like it had not been cleaned.
