Excellent breakfast and very clean room and bathroom. Excellent location in the centre of Liverpool and just round the corner is Mathew Street home of The Cavern club for excellent daily live music...The Cavern restaurant was lovely too and great food. Excellent friendly breakfast staff in hotel and in main restaurant. The food is excellent in the Hotel. Well done to all the chefs. We had the best Sunday roast dinner ever so tasty and well presented, one beef Sunday roast and one Scouse and Liverpool lemon tart for dessert.
Some of the staff on reception were not so friendly or welcoming as last time we stayed in The Hards Night Hotel which is a shame as its a lovely Hotel but the lady that checked us in early to our room was really nice and friendly and very helpful.

Perfect location, close to all Liverpool landmarks and in the heart of the cavern quarter, couldn't be closer to Mathew Street for a night out or Liverpool One is going shopping and a short stroll from the train staion and docks. Very comfortable hotel, bar and restaurant worth a visit. Rooms comfortable and clean, highly recommended.
As it's in the heart of the city, it can be quite noisy. This didn't bother me but may bother some. There was only 1 working socket in the room which was a bit inconvenient and it would also be helpful to have a socket close to the mirror for getting ready.

Fantastic location, near to the Cavan, bars, shops and restaurants. Good bar area in the hotel with happy hour and afternoon entertainment which was a bonus on Halloween. Friendly helpful staff.
The lighting was really dim. This was in all the halls and in the room. There was a window but it did not let much light in as looked out onto other rooms. The room was quite noisy, you could hear trains- this was not too bad, but we had noisy women on our corridor squawking in the morning. Nothing the hotel could really do about that, but not great for light sleepers

Breakfast was lovely and lots to choose from, either hot or cold. Had a bit of confusion on the second morning regarding my reservation but that was promptly dealt with. Room was lovely, but personally the size of room and bed I would say best suited to solo traveller and not couples. Loved all the Beatles memororibilia, located very near to the Cavern, literally round the corner, not far to stumble back from after a few cocktails. Friendly, helpful staff.
One of the coffee machines at breakfast required change of beans. With only one machine working this caused slight queues, this could have been alleviated if member of staff dealt with it, but it was extremely busy in restaurant at the time and noth machines were working the following morning. Lack of sockets near the mirror and by dressing table in room. Had to place kettle on bedside cabinet to make a hot drink. No lift to get from downstairs main entrance to reception. Had to use the disabled lift. Curtains slightly torn in room and some damage to corner wall by door.

Love the hotel and I cant remember my room number exactly, I think it was room 315. Mo at the front desk was a great help and his customer service was second to none. He went over and above to help me and my family in whatever we needed .
The breakfast was the only blemish, we paid at 10 minutes to 10 the food trays were mainly empty, so we waited for them to be filled. They never were filled and we asked when new food would be put out and they said it wouldn't since the breakfast was now over. So essentially we paid for 3 people , had not been told it was closing 10 minutes later. The buffet manager started to put up a partitioned wall to show it closed and when we tried to step around it to get something to eat he was very upset. Everything else in the hotel was excellent , and the last time I stayed here the restaurant was called BLAKES and the service was much better and they acted as if they appreciated our business.

Great location in the city center for both night life and shopping etc, 10 minute walk from the train station. Nice big old building in great condition with lots of history. Big room, big bed, clean and nice of the staff to add birthday treat for my partner. We didnt eat at the hotel but did use the bar which is large, bright with plenty of seating etc.
Not much to add, lifts are slow but can't really blame the hotel for that. Bar is expensive compared to the local prices of other bars just 2 min walk away but then you expect this from large hotels. Slightly noisy at night but again you are right on top of probably one of the busiest bar streets in Liverpool so its a fair trade off and again to be expected. Sleeping headphones were a blessing here.

We loved the Hotel, it was aesthetically pleasing and the Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. It was themed but not over the top and felt really welcoming and grand. Its a perfectly central location with lots to explore in the immediate vicinity. The room we had was with a Balcony overlooking Matthew Street, so right in the centre of the night life. This wouldn't usually be our vibe but as this was a 50th birthday celebration it was perfect! waking up to see the Liver birds over the rooftops was a treat
Nothing I didn't like! Its hard to try to criticise a hotel that was perfect for our needs.

The breakfast was not good. There were limited options for healthy breakfast. Some of the food, dried fruits were displayed in an area of high traffic where people were leaning over the food. Staff at the restaurant were not overly friendly. Some items hard to find. There were no teaspoons for example. I asked on my s3cond day and a staff member went behind the bar to give me 1....I shared it with my husband!!!
Better breakfast options. Displayed and covered appropriately.

BEST HOTEL EVER! We absolutely loved the Hard Days Night hotel, it was hands down the best place we've stayed in years. The staff was so helpful, kind, and down to earth (shoutout to Eric for his fantastic tips and humour). We especially enjoyed the breakfast spread in the mornings, and the general fun vibes - no musak in this hotel, only rock and pop classics! We decided to spend New Year's Eve in the hotel's bar, where we danced the night away with other customers staying there - it was the best start to 2025! We will definitely be coming back - we already miss the gorgeous rooms, the warm atmosphere, and Liverpool's unique people. This has become our favourite hotel IN THE WORLD. SIX STARS ⭐️
NOTHING - the only improvement to our holiday would have been staying a little longer 😆

Room was lovely, exactly what needed. Location is excellent l. Main shopping area on one corner and Matthew Street with its wonderful bars including The Cavern Club on the other corner and the Docks a near 10 min walk away perfect hotel! I will definitely go back to Liverpool and would stay again at this hotel! Eric (concierge) was friendly, helpful, funny and polite.
No much I didn’t like to be honest. There was an issue with water flow in room. But this was stated at reception when checking in and when called down to report it was sorted in minutes. Not much to complain out!
