Awesome location, right next to Paddington station, so trains and the tube can get you anywhere easily. Two pubs and two breakfast bars in 100m range. The room is quite small, but when you compare it to other offers in London in the same price range, you will surely acknowledge that it's a standard in this city - more than enough to sleep during the night and roam around all day.

Maybe it was just a coincidence, but we must have had some unexpected tiny roommates with us during the stay which resulted in quite a few itchy bites on our hands and legs - make sure to fully wash your clothes and backpacks when you get home.

As dog owners we appreciated that we and our dog were welcomed without fuss and that the hotel was spotless. No compromise on cleanliness because of furry friends. The beds were super comfy and the room and ensuite bathroom warm and toasty, with a window that opened enough to get plenty of fresh air. We also loved the view - a cobbled road lined by pretty rows of mews houses, old fashioned street lights and lovely tall golden brick London houses with tall trees behind. The shower was great too. And there was plenty of hot water. We all enjoyed our stay here and the staff were all very helpful, really polite and friendly. No meals but you step outside and immediately see plenty of restaurants, great pubs serving food and all kinds and sizes of great eateries.

Nothing really - just not being told in advance that they take a returnable deposit, on arrival, which they will reimburse to your card, after you've left and the room has been checked, as long as the room is clean and no damage. It would have been good to know this at the time of booking.

Room 505 is perfect for me. I enjoy watching the aircraft on finals to Heathrow. Being hIgh but not too high one can see the charming mews houses below whilst not being disturbed by any noise.

Room is (despite answer above) very small but I knew that having stayed before and I put up with it. I object (strongly) to having to pay £5 for leaving my bag - both before I could check in and having checked out. Again I put up with it but it is VERY annoying

The location for Hyde park as well as Paddington railway station was very good. The room was clean and tidy with everything you need for a short stay (in my case). Sufficient coffee/tea. A goo modern shower and toilet. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. The cafe next door do great breakfasts. 😎

The reception area was in need of a refurbishment and was looking very tired with stains on the carpet and poor decor. If you arrive early and want a room then a £25 extra levy (they charge) is unfair. If a room is ready why not use it as it’s already booked. Having said that, the staff were friendly and I would definitely stay there again.

No breakfast this time...bit disappointed. There was an argument in the corridor at night, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Luckily when I am leaving room, no confrontations around. I was unable to leave my excess luggage this time as no reception at the desk. I rang up the hotel several times at the reception, but no response, so I left my luggage at the station. Overall, nothing can beat the location and price and availability for Ascot.

Location is great, 2 minutes walk to Paddington station, breakfast available in a nearby restaurant for less than 10 pounds, and a convenience store facing the hotel. A variety of restaurants nearby with options for all budgets. Great choice for families. Receptionist Helaria was great. Will definitly book again.

The maze of stairs and the older carpet in the lobby, but it is not a big deal since the elevator was working and the rooms were clean.

For the Location. I thought the hotel was excellent. The bathroom was brand new. The room was clean. The wifi was good and the staff were excellent. Andrew from Egypt was very helpful and charming. I will definitely stay there again and the price was excellent considering this is central London. I'm actually from the UK but I am an ExPat hence my profile comes up as Saudi Arabia so I can assure those that read this view. I HAVE NOT BEEN PAID TO SAY THE ABOVE!

Excellent location close by to Paddington Station.

Room needs some repairs or facelift. Only two towels and a floor towel supplied. At least another towel must be supplied as done in all hotels I visited. Shampoo and body gel were of an inferior quality. A hand shower other than a wall shower is more safe and handy to prevent accidental scalds.

It was clean, comfortable, cozy and really good value for money. They have tea.

I didn't like that I gave €50 deposit and forgot to collect it during my exit. The staff at the reception also didn't remind me. Later when I discovered I called back. They said that I have to come back or someone collects is from my behalf. They don't offer the option bank transfer to my account. Now my €50 are still there. No solution to this problem.

the location was fantastic, right next to Paddington station and next to lots of places to eat. only a few blocks from Hyde Park to go for a stroll and some sight seeing. Only stayed one night as I was in transit in London, the shower was excellent after 24hr flight. Both bathroom and room were clean.

Had to manage some stairs as well as the lift because of where my room was, only a problem because I had a really long flight and legs were tired, but manageable.
