The Bower House (basement level, apt 9) was a cute little room with just enough space for two people. The room was very well taken care of and very clean. The location was perfect; we were within walking distance to everything (train station, bus station, sightseeing). The bathroom/shower was a little tight, but big enough for me (5’8 / 220) and had great hot water pressure. Definitely a place to consider for a few nights stay.

The TV only had static and we were unable to watch any of the channels. This is why I gave the property/room a 9 out of 10. It didn’t really bother us because we where gone most of the time and really only showered and slept in the room, but there was absolutely no reception on any channels.

To be honest I wasn't expecting much given the price but this exceeded my expectations! Lovely room, very well decorated, felt more like I was in a lovely home rather than hotel. Felt very safe as a woman travelling alone. Would stay there again.

Only tiny thing was it was a little difficult to find initially having to book in at a different place to the actual hotel but the staff were fantastic and even took me directly to the accommodation.

We found this little gem last minute and it exceeded our expectations. It’s a 10-15 minute walk from Victoria station (depending on how fast you walk). We picked up the key from Georgian House Hotel and the lady on reception was lovely. Bower house is a couple of minutes walk from Georgian House. We stayed in room B10 which is a basement room (staircase down to the room). We envisaged it would be boiling in there, but we were pleasantly surprised that this was not the case. The day we arrived got up to 28degrees, with little breeze. This room is not in direct sunlight so was shaded to a point. It also has its own little patio. The property doesn’t have AC, but a fan is provided which did the trick for us. The room was clean and had everything we needed to rest our bones after a long afternoon and evening outdoors. If you’re a bit sensitive to light when the sun rises I would suggest you take an eye mask.

For me, some sort of blinds on the skylights would have been useful as I forgot my eye mask!

Very good location in a calm part of London. Victoria felt like a safe place and is a really pretty district. The stay is close to the Underground connections. (5-10mins by foot) There is loads of food opportunities around aswell. The room was clean and comfy. Perfect for a travelling couple. The room is equipped with a safe, an even an ironing board and an iron if you need it. You also get some tea and coffee to satisfy any thirst over your stay. Overall a great room. We will most likely come back to Bower House during our next stay in London.

The windows have single glasing, so the insulation (sound and temperature) is not the best. However the room is equipped with a radiator that counters the potential cold. The room remains calm as there isn’t that much traffic outside of the room. If you have a big luggage, be aware that there is no lift. Also, it would be nice to add a Toiletbrush to the room.

Email communications before we arrived were quick and helpful. i requested and hot a nice light room on the first floor (there are basement, ground floor, two upper floors and presumably attic, about 10 rooms in all). London is always expensive but this place is good value for London. We had to go to Georgian House round the corner to pick up keys. Location was great - nice area, relatively quiet but within walking distance of Victoria Station and V&A and Natural History museums. Room was quite big compared to some shoeboxes we’ve had. Small bathroom but has everything you need. No double glazing but it was still relatively quiet. Bed was exceptionally comfortable. Wonder of wonders, there were ironing facilities and a full length mirror.

I was quite happy so these aren’t really dislikes: Steps were steep and narrow but that’s a Georgian property for you. No servicing but we ended up with enough loo paper and that’s really the important thing.

Location was great, very convenient to train/tube, nice neighborhood. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were in another building but came right over anytime we needed anything. Master bedroom was HUGE with a big bed and a sofa bed already made up. As the sofa bed in the living room was also made up and ready, we didn't need it but it was nice to have to organize our things, and would be especially nice if 3 people all wanted different beds. Room enough for 6 people to sleep! Nice bathroom, nicely decorated. Lots of space to spread out.

Hot water wasn't working one morning. One of us was leaving that day and couldn't wait to take a shower, so he had to skip it. But it was fixed within a couple of hours. Other than that it was great!

Location was great. Stuff was friendly. Room and public areas were very clean. Facilities in room were sufficient.

Room was not cleaned daily. We did not ask a service, though. But it should have be done spontaneously. Lock case was not working. A roof room was given us and even standing in room was not possible. Also the window very small and the only thing you see is a wall. We wish they had given us the other room that was showed in photos. Also going upstairs may be a problem because elevator doesn't exist.

The breakfasts were superb and the staff were wonderfully helpful. Every question was answered and there was always a pleasant greeting.

The rooms were not serviced with fresh supplies of water/milk/teas/coffees neither was there any housekeeping service during the days of my stay. My biggest complaint was the lack of wifi in Bower House. I was unable to do the research and work I had planned to do during the evenings. I would stay at the property again but not when I had work to complete online during the evening.

Great location - short walk to Victoria Station, in a quiet area, with supermarkets and nice restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood. The bed was comfortable, the room nice, clean and warm. There was an electric kettle, hair dryer, wifi was working without any problems - basically I had everything I needed during my stay! Check in took place in their sister property very close by and went smoothly.

I am totally satisfied with my stay but it’s good to mention that there is no elevator, so it can be a problem with someone with limited mobility. Bathroom was a bit small but functional.

Location (superclose to Victoria Station and very quiet/safe neighborhood), room was big and clean in comparison to the average London B&B/Hotel room (kudos, guys!), check in/check out very easy, there was electric kettle + tea + coffee + drinkable water available in the room.

Bathroom was cozy and had shampoo, soap + towels available. However there was a strong mold smell (this was not a big deal because I was not spending my night in the bathroom) and a constant noise that never stopped, not even when you close the bathroom's room. Luckily I had my noise reducing earplugs and I was able to sleep! This is the only reason I wouldn't give a 10 :)
