Thin walls and creaky floorboard from above. You could hear people walking about above you when in bed (not hotels fault that we experienced people above who seemed to do a lot of walking around their room late at night and early morning, then slammed door and ran downstairs) thin walls you could hear fan and shower from next room. I am a light sleeper. Just be aware of this if you are too.

We had a wonderful St Patrick's weekend in London, this hotel as the name states is an old beautiful Georgian House. The hotel is spotlessly clean with a lovely decour through out,staff are helpful and polite. Breakfast is very adequate with a menu to suit all tastes. Our room was on second floor small but comfortable for our requirements. One note to consider if booking as this is a listed building there is no lift so may not suit senior citizens or guests with reduced mobility, but staff are very helpful if you require assistance with luggage. Hotel located just a few minutes walk to Victoria bus and rail stations and a further few minutes walk to Buckingham Palace and the usual locations of interest. We can highly recommend this hotel for short visits to London.

We stayed in the wizard chamber from 26.08-27.08. with 2 adults and 3 children. The hotel and its service totally inspired us. Not only the extremely friendly and very service-oriented staff convinced us, but also the great ambiance with the attention to detail. For example, a late check-in was possible at short notice and without any problems due to strikes at the railways. The wizard chamber was an absolute highlight for our children and for us this weekend. Furnished with an eye for detail and a lot of love, the room took us into the world of Harry Potter and gave us magical dreams. The breakfast was delicious and everything was freshly prepared. The service was excellent! As a result, we will definitely book the Georgian House again on our next visit to London. By the way, the central location and the good connection (near Victoria Station) also speak for themselves. Small but fine and an unconditional recommendation in the heart of London!!

Brilliant location to where we needed to be for the weekend. Close to stations and all amenities. Nice clean hotel, lo ely decorated to Georgian theme, comfy bed and tea making facilities in room, pleasantly surprised with the White Company goodies in the bathroom, adding a little luxe.

Lots and lots and lots of stairs, no lift. We asked for a room with a bath, and they honoured the request, lovely large bathroom and bath, but….a little warning, all the rooms with baths are in the attic, so lots and lots of stairs to walk up and down. But welcomed the bath so wasn’t too much of a struggle, my parents would have an issue with the stairs though.

10 out of 10 for attentive customer service. The team couldn't do enough for us from the moment we booked! Room was as new. Very clean and stylish decor. The bed/mattress was so comfortable - I had the best night's sleep in many months! Staff were very accommodating to early check-in (with a small fee), but we were also allowed in just slightly before that. Very airy room on what was a warm weekend, and we appreciated the additional fan. Bathroom was super-clean, great power shower, and The White Company products smelt gorgeous.

No lift and we were placed on the fifth floor, which was a struggle with bags, or ascending after an evening out. Space was limited by slanted ceiling. However, the view of Battersea Power Station made up for it. The walls were pretty thin and we could hear every word of the American family having heated debates in the room next door - on more than one occasion! Telephone didn't work - had to dial in to the hotel via mobile to request an ironing board/iron! :D

The room and the breakfast were fine. We had the continental breakfast which had very good variety and with healthy options. The location was good. We arrived before check-in and were able to leave our luggage in Reception. When we returned, the luggage had been taken up to our room on the 3rd floor which was really appreciated. The receptionist booked a taxi for our return to the train station. I also appreciated the online check-in and the walking directions to the hotel from the train station.

The room keycard didn't work and had to be replaced. There was no one on Reception so we rang the bell and no one turned up after 20 minutes so I phoned again twice and finally got someone who came over and replaced the card. That was the only problem we had.

Brilliant location, super clean and great facilities. An actual real hairdryer in the room not one of those awful hotel hairdryers stuck to a wall, lovely comfy beds, super bathroom and toiletries. It was such a super room for me and my son to have as a base while we explored London.

I know it's an old building but the floors! Soooooo creaky. We had a room above that seemed to like walking around for an hour before bed and it kept us awake. If you're a light sleeper like me, it was a real problem.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Decor was beautiful throughout. Our room was well equipped with a power hairdryer. Toiletries were lovely from The White Company. Extremely clean everywhere, simply couldn't fault our room. Also, it was a great location, close to Victoria Station, and we felt safe walking at night.

It was difficult pulling our suitcase up several flights of stairs to our room. There was also a bit of noise at night from people walking around on the floor above.

The breakfast menu options were very good. The staff were attentive and polite. I think the chap that checked us was was called Bill. He was so pleasant to deal with. He gave great service and advice and was a perfect gentleman.

This was my fault. I forgot that there was no lift and we were given a room on the 4th floor which was not what I needed after walking all day doing the tourist trips. I have no issue staying again but will ask for a lower floor.

it was so beautiful and comfortable: the beds were amazing, the bathroom was so clean and nice. The ambiance was to die for! the staff were kind and friendly plus pretty short walk to the tube station

our room was on the top floor and that requires walking up 8 flights of stairs: I was not warned of this before hand and that would have been nice. I asked one of the members of staff if they had a bottle of water and they were very obviously confused, same when I asked the staff “if by any chance they had any safety pins?” I just thought they could have tried a little to not seem like my requests were unheard of. however this was a really small thing and mostly they were very nice!
