Great price, good location, very kind and helpful staff, nice bar.

Pity that room didn’t have any table for small things or jacket hanger. Some people were loud almost whole night which was annoying.

Great location. Comfortable beds. Big lockers under the bed and sink in the room. Good atmosphere.

No kitchen to make your own food or heat things up. No water refill options. Only 2 USB A ports and no normal plug near the bed so charging other devices was a challenge. Had to share 1 bathroom with just 4 showers with 2 floors and I had to walk down every time to use the bathroom.

Very decent hostel. Likely the best in London, especially for the price. The staff were all really lovely. :)

The menu in the restaurant was good, but could have more variety. I don't eat fried food (chips as the British say ☺️) so a soup option would have been nice.

Staying at Generator was a very pleasant experience. The location of the hostel is absolutely great (few minutes from tube station) and near a few bars and restaurants. The staff is very professional and always ready to help. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well ventilated. For those who like to have a drink or have fun with other guests, it is very nice that Generator has its own bar/club with music (keep in mind that the music is on every night until 3AM).

The only thing that can be a bit improved is about bathrooms - more space for storing clothes when showering and slightly better toilet hygiene.

Great location near Kings Cross station. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, simple room. Lockers to store your luggage.

Plug points in room were hard to access (had to move the beds). Room is a little small and barebones for the price. Can be a little loud on the weekends (to be expected from a place with a bar downstairs though!)

Staff are great (lots of friendly aussies), beds are comfy, dorms are pretty spacious (except 4 bed which are a bit cramped), food is good from the bar, location is safe close to Kings Cross, Euston and Russell Square stations for heaps of tube line options, nice shops around the hostel to buy coffee, food, supermarket etc

Prices at the bar for food and drinks are a bit steep for a hostel, no kitchen if you like cooking during your stay (I dont personally but just means no fridge for basic items etc not possible and no outside food allowed in bar), paying for towels to be changed over where other Generator's allow new towels for the once off rental cost (if youre staying more than a few days renting for 4.5 pound is annoying), some of the staff weren't super friendly and were real sticklers for rules when not necessary, lots of school groups stayed here during my stay so it got a bit noisy, crowded and full of young kids being pests, but this isn't always the case obviously.

5 min walk from King’s Cross meaning I could use their left-luggage lockers to store my bag before and after check-out. Room was spacious and clean with comfortable bed. Showers and toilets were well-appointed and clean. As with any hostel, showers were busy at peak times so I just made sure to use them in the afternoon when it was quieter. Common areas/bar was comfortable and had a good selection of drinks. Was very noisy in the evening meaning I retreated to bed to read. Still a friendly vibe if you’re looking to socialise!

A quiet area to read my book and chat to other guests in the evening. Bar became quite loud - definitely more of a party vibe!

Great location, it’s clean and neat, the toilets and showers are separated by gender, hair dryer and airblade are equipped.

the smoking area right next to our room, you can smell it in the room and it can be very noisy. Unfortunately, one of the roommates kept snoring all night long... earplugs are really necessary. Besides, it could be expensive for weekends

It is a fun, vivid, colorful place, full of activity and welcoming. The private 4 bed room was confortable and with plenty of heating, with good pillows and confy conforters, clean, individual lights and usb chargers in the bunk beds, and plenty of charging points in the walls. Location 10 min walking to St Pancras International to catch the Eurostar or trains to any airport, as close as to Russel Square St or Euston and to bus 14 to Kensington Gardens and Royal Albert Hall, Hyde Park, The V & A Museum, The Natural Science Museum. Really close to the British Library and British Museum, within pleasant walking distance to Leicester Square, Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, and even Big Ben / Westminster Abbey. Bar & food on premises.

Bathrooms a bit far in between, bins in bathrooms need to be emptied more often.

We loved staying at Generator London, the manager Felix and all the staff (Will, Lachy and Aiden) were amazing. Anything we needed, they would help as best as they could. The room was ok (not a lot of space though), the bed was comfortable and they had 1 bathroom with a lot of showers in each floor. Next to the reception there’s a bar that serves drinks and food at a quite reasonable price, and a disco in the back which was really good. There’s also the option of breakfast buffet which we didn’t try. Overall an amazing experience, would totally recommend.

Some days the water in the shower was cold and the rooms could have been cleaned better.
