Wonderful staff, always welcoming and smiling. Felt safe and secure at all times, compared to similar hotels I've previously been accommodated to. Although there is outdated furniture all over the place, they seem to seek to improve the place - the shared bathroom at the first floor, for instance, is newly refurbished and always clean and nice.
In the morning, all the builders working around the courtyard seem to have their chatting sessions in a loud voice. But I guess this is just the London-normal-kind-of-life.

The family room is very high end for a 2-star hotel and I enjoyed the space, all for myself. But keep in mind, it can accommodate four people if needs be. The double bed mattress needs some freshening up after my last stay but nothing really major.
The mattress on the double bed needs a refurb but not too bad :) Wifi reception in the bathroom of the family room is so and so.

Room was basic but clean, tidy & everything worked, plenty of plug sockets, a nice big room for the 4 of us ( 2 adults & 2 teens). En-suite looked like it had been recently done up. Checking in was simple & the staff member was helpful and polite. We wanted somewhere in close proximity to st Pancras as we were booked on an early Eurostar & it was perfect, less than a 15 min stroll away. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. Place is a little tatty round the edges but totally acceptable for our requirements & was a very good price for a stay in central London, would use again & recommend as long as your not looking for modern!
Instructions on how to make the tv work would’ve been really useful! It was hot and there was no opening windows.

The family room is worth its price. Can sleep 4 people and at a great price at a great location! Has its own bathroom which is awesome as well. I would not know about the rest of the rooms however the family room served me well!
The stairs are a bit of a difficult thing with large suitcases but you can manage in the end. The hotel is not always staffed so you might need to call for someone to open the door to open at check in.

The personnel was always available since the very moment of my arrival. I was allowed to check-in before the established check-in hours even if I merely asked whether leaving my luggage stored was possible or not. They were really kind. Location was another great point. It was really close by feet to The British Museum and the places where the venues I was assisting took place, so cheers to that as well.

This trip was for my wife who had to attend the hospital for her son´s major surgery. The staff at the hotel were amazing in offering any help she required, friendly and kind. Absolutely brilliant service - thank you.

Great location. Close to St. Pancras and King's Cross! Great selection of pubs, restaurants, and parks nearby. Tidy room, with plenty of space. Good sanitary facilities.
Beds were too soft and fragile for my liking. I also found the price a bit high for a one night stay, but I suppose that's just London. The doors to the rooms are unnecessarily heavy, and somewhat inconvenient to open due to a very small doorknob.

I stayed three nights in a double room and one night in a single room at this hotel and was very happy with my time there. It's a very characterful place. I really like the decor and quirks. For some this may be a selling point - I did imagine that Jean Rhys might have spent some time in this kind of place. The manager was friendly and helpful enough, as were the housekeeping staff. A launderette is practically visible from the hotel window, and just opposite that I was able to have a Sunday Roast in a pub. Being no good with maps I was initially clueless as to how to get here from the tube, but using the BT tower getting oriented to Tottenham Court Road made getting around and home again a doddle. I've never really liked London as much as some but can see that this area has a character of its own, if like me you don't care about things that are 'cool' . The prices for the room were an absolute bargain given the location and character of the place.

Comfortable bed, especially on seoond stay. It creaked a little, however. Am slightly disabled so struggled a bit with luggage and stairs but staff and other guests helped me out.
The struggle up and down the stairs as someone slightly disabled. Do be aware there is no breakast available.

It was exactly what I was looking for. Ideal location for Camden and close to London Euston. Booked last minute and still a really good price. All the bathrooms were clean and I didn’t hear any other guests the whole time I was there - really quiet! As a solo traveller, I felt safe and welcome there.
The room was very hot even with the window open - but it was during a heatwave so to be excepted
