Mentone Hotel exceeded my expectations; the quality was excellent especially considering its a three star hotel which we booked for a reasonable price. The decor is beautiful, beds comfy, room clean, modern facilities, breakfast buffet absolutely delicious. We also used the free WiFi and free storage facility. All of these features would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of the staff. Friendly, approachable, helpful staff made all the difference, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone, and I am very hard to please!

There were only two plug sockets in the whole room, so we could have taken a plug extension with us so we could charge our phones and use the kettle/tv at the same time! The sink and shower water took a while to get hot but eventually it was fine. As for noise levels, it was mostly fine but I can't really complain about other guests! People were mostly considerate but you can hear doors closing and footsteps if you are on the ground floor.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel letting you leave your bags was also very helpful, so we could leave them before and after checkout. The location was amazing as well, so close to Kings Cross and Russell Square for the tube. It was a great base to see the centre of London. The breakfast was also very good, it really surpassed my expectations.

The bedroom was very small and up about 3 flights of stairs, but we expected that from the review. There was a fire alarm issue between 11pm and 12am one of the nights that was very frustrating and disrupted our sleep, but it was resolved, and we were able to go to bed at about 12am.

Staff were great, very accommodating, the whole hotel had been freshly redecorated. Make sure you pay 10 pounds for the breakfast, worth every cent...wont have to eat until late afternoon! A really nice feel, in a good area with cafes, restaurants, pubs, green space, 5 minutes to the railway station and a few stations to London central, Picadilly or Leicester Square for a show! Close to Camden which is fantastic for shopping, historic markets...plenty to do here! St Pancras is a 10 minute walk if you're heading off to Paris on the Eurostar! Absolutely recommend The Mentone! Thanks guys💗

Nice rooms (recently refurbished), friendly staff, fantastic location (lot of nice cafes/restaurants in lovely and quiet Bloomsbury, 10 min walk from 3 major train stations, 15 min walk from British Museum, and 25 min walk from Trafalgar Square/Covent Garden). Given the above and considering London rates, the rooms are very reasonably priced. They also helped us by installing a baby bed for our 3 months old son.

Only downside is that you need to let the tap and shower run for quite some minutes, before you get warm water. However, it was around 0-5 degrees celcius outside, which probably doesn't help either.

The staff were very professional and helpful. The location was very good and located at the center of London, with great access to various options of public transportation and also it was in walking distance from St Pancras International train station. The breakfast had decent variety and quality. As a person with interest in vintage style hotels, I also enjoyed many elements in this hotel. The mattress and bed fabrics were of good quality. Presence of a tea boiler with some tea and coffee options was also very good. Overall, it had a good value for money.

The temperature and pressure of hot water could be an option to be improved. Also, the building was having single-layer glass windows and during the night time, there was a minimal feeling of cold air inside the room (the colder than normal weather of London during the stay may also affected this).

Group of 4 women, in London to celebrate a 50th birthday. All of us absolutely loved the hotel and will be returning. Beautiful little hotel, tasteful decor, phantastic location, spotlessly clean. Nice breakfast room with excellent fresh breakfast. The friendliest and most helpful staff, they could not do enough for us. The hotel was in a very nice location, very convenient between Russell Square and King's Cross, also lots of bus connections. Everything was within easy reach in Central London. However, the neighbourhood was also lovely with nice cafes and restaurants and pubs. I will definetely return.

There was nothing not to like. However, bear in mind, it is a period house, no lift and steep stairs. Did not bother us, but could be difficult if you were elderly with walking difficulties.

Very convenient location close to subways and bus stops, ~15-20 minutes to get to all main sights. It's also a very quite but lively neighborhood, we felt safe and a had a good night rest. Our room was a good size but bathroom was tiny which is expected for London. Hotel's staff was very friendly and welcoming. We arrived before a scheduled check-in but were able to use a bathroom to freshen up, change and be on our way to city exploring. They have a storage space for suitcase which was very convinient on a first and last day of the trip.

The bathroom was tiny which is expected for London but they could put more hooks and shelves for keeping bath amenities and even finding a spot to put towels to dry was tough. Everything else was great.

Love that it was close to the tube and the train station that took us to Paris was only an 11minute walk. I felt safe and lots of pubs and places nearby. I also loved that I got a hot breakfast every morning along with croissants and the peaches that my daughter loved. Everything was clean and definitely up to my standard. The staff took their time to help even when it was late. They were always pleasant.

My bathroom had no electrical outlet and no where else had a mirror so I had to get creative to straighten my hair. Also there is no air conditioning which we had a tough time with after walking all day in the surprisingly hot October days of our stay. We kept our windows open all day and all night. The room was small but it had everything you truly needed. No elevator so we had to lift our stroller up and down the steps.

The hotel is super clean & decorated really nicely. It’s a great location in a lovely part of London. Very easy walk to Euston & Kings Cross St Pancreas tube stations. Despite being so close to everything it was so quiet! We slept with our window open as it was still quite balmy in October ( on the third floor) and we slept so well. No disturbances or noise. Our room was small ( I knew that when booking ) but they used the space well with hooks shelves & storage. It was perfectly fine for two of us. Breakfast spread was really good. Lots of continental options & hot food on offer. The waiting staff were always present to keep everything topped up. We had breakfast included in our stay but if you don’t it’s £10 pp which we thought was good value. Children eat free too. Overall we thought it was a great stay & would definitely return.

The breakfast room was small & cramped especially when busy. There are no lifts in this hotel so if you’re on the third floor it can be a bit of a trek especially with luggage.

The entire stay in the hotel was amazing! The room was clean and spacious, breakfast was really good and you could select many different options. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially Aga from the reception desk. There was an option to leave the luggage before check in and after check out which was really convenient. The neighbourhood was really quiet and safe, close to Russell Square and King’s Cross Station, so you can travel basically anywhere from there. I’d love to stay again in this hotel once I’m back to London!
