Comfy bed, good sized shower closet, en suite vry clean👍

☹just before we left we checked under the bed for any stray shoes etc and found a pizza 🍕 box! It wasnt ours, We didnt open it to see how mouldy the left overs were, but we had been there for three days, we were VERY dissapointed 😔

Location was great with lots of public transport. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Staff was nice enough, and kept our luggage after we checked out. Free coffee in the morning was nice.

The air circulation wasn't great, I know it's a small (tiny) room, but it felt stuffy in the night. And of course, there was no window for fresh air. Some noises from the building, so bring earplugs if you want to sleep well in your dark coffin.

Staff at reception was nice, no complaints there. Have stayed before and always very clean. Very close to train station and coffee shop downstairs is a plus.

Cleaners were super noisy, dropping things and hitting the walls with their equipment (it seemed), on their phones on calls on loud speakers when I was in my room trying to read a book, with doors closed I could hear everything - please be more considerate of guests, especially taking into account that out of the 4 rooms in that hall, 3 had a 'do not disturb' sign on the door. Also, I was in a shared bathroom room and whoever used the bathroom before me left a hell of a stench and did not flush the toilet. Which is gross and shame on this person but also, with shared bathrooms maybe cleaning staff should check it more regularly?

Booked a small studio for our stay and it was great. Studio gave us plenty of room with a king size bed, kitchen area, huge en-suite and desk area with a hanging area for clothes. Bed itself was comfortable but like so many places the pillows were a bit rubbish. Location for our purposes was fabulous as it's right next to Hackney Central where we were able to jump on and off to our various planned activities with the greatest of ease.

Pillows were a bit flat & lumpy offering very little support but then I always find them so as I normally sleep with an orthopaedic pillow so the KIP are not alone in this complaint. Asked for a second pillow and the staff organised straight it away so a thumbs up for that.

They have really thought about the solo traveller in the design. The room is clean, simple and had all the essentials. I felt that my belongings were secure and there was even space under the bed to store shoes and luggage so it didn’t feel too cramped. You couldn’t hear much from other rooms and the shared toilet/shower room was clean and never got too busy. There was even free coffee and tea at reception. It’s a great alternative to hostels for the budget-conscious who want privacy, quiet and a good night sleep. But there are also pubs and activities nearby for socialising and entertainment.

The only criticism is the lack of ventilation in the rooms. It was quite stuffy because there are no windows in the ‘cabin’ and I couldn’t see any controls for the AC.

I stayed in a small "cabin" room. Let's be honest - you probably wouldn't want to stay in this room for more than one or two nights. But as a solo traveller, needing a bed for one night, this was perfect. Although small (as advertised), the room was comfortable, well-equipped and well-designed with a desk and TV. The shared bathroom was also immaculate & staff very friendly. The hotel itself was modern and clean throughout. There's also a small, but handy selection of drinks inc. fresh coffee available 24/7 from reception which is a nice touch. At this price, your only other real option in London is a bunk in a hostel dorm so to find somewhere so well-located in hackney that offers comfort and privacy at such a low price is a win.

My only two real gripes were; the air conditioning, which was just a steady flow split between rooms. Without control of an individual unit the room did get a bit stuffy on a particularly warm evening. secondly, it's worth nothing that the doors in the small rooms are not well soundproofed so you can hear a bit of movement, coughing etc through the night - not a major issue but a heads-up to pickup a pair of earplugs before your stay if your easily disturbed.

The location is great. Discreet entry. The large double room is spacious with a good sized bathroom. Large, comfortable bed. Big shower. Air conditioning with bedside controls. Fairly big tv. A fair amount of storage.

Very minor quibbles. The air con controls were not entirely intuitive and it took me a long time to work out how to turn it off (no instructions). While this room was quieter than the small single, it does face onto a busy railway station so isn't totally quiet. The room could do with an armchair or similar - there's just the bed and a desk chair, but loads of space.

Same as ever - functional, comfortable, well insulated from external noise, good temperature, excellent location.

The front door seems not to work with room key cards any more, so you have to ring the intercom to gain entry to the building. Otherwise very minor things: handwash was awol from the bathroom for the first day. It can be hard to know if the shared facilities are occupied if other users don't leave the door open/turn off lights. Coffee has gone from free to one per day on a token system (though that's more than enough for me).

Location was very good for my needs (concert at Hackney Empire). Room had everything I actually needed, and was right opposite shared bathroom. Good amount of storage space under bed for suitcase. Surprisingly stylish decoration for a budget hotel! Liked the free coffee.

No obvious signage outside, so I walked past it for about 200m and was anxiously heading back towards the tube stop to ask for directions when I saw the entrance. Room was very tiny: enough room for me to stand up in, but not a lot of room for getting changed: hadn't realised just what 35 square feet would feel like, but the advert did warn me so I can't complain! Little soundproofing but I bought my own earplugs and there was only one other occupant in our set of 4 rooms so it wasn't a huge problem.

it is a very modern hotel, very spacious room and full of amenities, mostly clean.

I didn’t like that there were no stairs to go up and down, you had to get into one central lift that takes you throughout the whole hotel which everyone else has to use including arriving, departing, cleaning staff, so you do find yourself waiting around for a while to get in and out. I also found that there were a lot of crumbs and dirt everywhere in the kitchen area, I do understand that cleaners have a quick turnaround time but maybe some more attention to detail around that would be good.
