I was first drawn to this hotel because of the positive reviews I saw about the cleanliness. I was only going for a few days, so with something small but very well located I had plenty. For me, it was essential that it was clean. I gotta say that this hotel was great. It is run by a family, with a double security entry system. The room itself was on the small side, I couldn't open the door to the toilets fully without bumping into the bed. But to spend a few days, it was more than enough. I confirm that everything was spotless and that, when I found the pillow a bit lumpy, they changed it for me without any problem. In addition, the owner of the hotel gave me perfect advice on transportation, visits and even musicals. It is well situated to walk to the centre, but also with both bus and underground transportation nearby. Also, there are good cafes around for breakfast. If I go alone again I will definitely come back to this hotel.

Not as a bad thing, but as a full disclosure, again the room was quite small. Also, it didn't have a lift, but I stayed at the first floor and there were only a few stairs there. Being so close to the centre, it was a good quality/price ratio.

Excellent value for money. Room was small, but perfect for me. It had everything I needed (tea, coffee, biscuits and own bathroom) Clean, nice and light - was happy I was only 2 flights up (as no lift) - but I know they would have carried my bags up Fantastic location as I work in Victoria...plus so easy to get everywhere with Pimlico underground station just round the corner Staff were lovely

We enjoyed our stay firstly because of its location (4 min walk to nearest subway station and 10 minute walk to Victoria station); Calm neighbourhood, sleeping with the window open was nice there was barely any car noises; The bed was comfortable; The staff was nice; The hallway smelled good - pleasant when you first walk in; Check in and check out was easy; They can keep your bags (for a fee) once you check out - which was super helpful since my flight was at 7pm. All in all it did the job well.

There was no space to work in the hotel outside of the very small desk on which was placed the hair dryer, fan, instant coffee and kettle - had to go to a nearby cafe to catch up on emails; There are no plugs in the bathroom which is unfortunate; The shower has a fixed, wall-mounted and non-adjustable showerhead so don't forget your bonnet if you don't want to wash your hair everyday.

The host/owner/staff were very friendly. As a solo traveller not fussed about accommodations, just security and ability to leave my bag secured whilst visiting London. The room was just right for one person. Location was a few minutes walk from a tube station and bus stops. Neighbourhood is lovely and felt safe. I would return as a solo traveller.

You are able to hear the plumbing sometimes and there wasn’t a plug near the kettle so had to out it on the floor but the room was clean, water pressure was great, the bed wasn’t luxury but slept fine and the complementary coffee/tea/biscuits hit the spot for my stay. I am happy with my experience and amount paid for 1 night.

The owner, his daughter and all other staff were extremely nice and helpful. Very clean room with a nice view taking into account the place: We could see the London Eye from our Window. I like the fact that I could open the window, as in many other hotels the windows are blocked to open just a little bit. Everything according to the descriptions and photos on booking.com. Wifi was as well good and the room was quite.

There is no elevator, which was not a problem for us, but might be for others. The only little thing I did not like was the shower gel packaging. It came in little plastic bags that were very difficult to open without scissiors. Something that should be easily improvable.

We ordered a taxi with reception to Heathrow. The "taxi" arrived but it was just a man in a car with no taxi sign or meter. He quoted us above what it cost us for the taxi from Airport to Melbourne House two days prior. We had been warned not to get into a vehicle unless we were sure it was a taxi but we were also conscious of the time we needed to be at Heathrow so we did get into the vehicle and pay the extra tariff. We were disappointed that the staff put us in this difficult and uncomfortable situation.

In general, it was a good experience. The staff was polite (as per British standards), it's located near the bus stop and just a couple minutes away from an underground station. I'd say it's good value for money. The neighborhood is safe and quiet in the evening.

The room was really small (hard to move around). Our room was located on one of the top floors and it was really difficult to reach it with suitcases - I used to stay in a similar hotel in the past and I was offered help with that. The cleaning staff uses some sort of a smelly product that stays in the room for the rest of the day.

Beautiful location 5 minutes to the tube and 2 minutes to coffee shop for breakfast. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. They helped us with advice about locations, travel and any queries. The room was cleaned daily and the beds were very comfortable. We were able to leave our luggage and any emails were dealt with quickly. It was lovely to stay in such a friendly environment and it certainly contributed to a great stay in London.

The owner John was exceptionially welcoming ,friendly ,helpful and informative regarding local restaurants,sights etc Nikhita was prompt in answering emails to get directions to the hotel from St Pancras station. He is obviously passionate about ensuring his guests are happy and satisfied during their stay. The hotel was very clean and in a good location for Victoria train and coach stations The metro and local buses very handyThe location is quiet but has a range of international restaurants,cafes and old pubs in near vcinity and als supermarkets and local shops.I highly recommend and wouldnt hesitate to book again

Unfortunately we were on the top floor of 8 flights of stairs and travelling for 8 weeks so we had extra luggage to carry up the stairs but John insisted on helping us There are 2 chairs halfway up for people who may need to take a breather. Which is helpful and thoughtful No lift but to be expected forthe age and style of the property
