Location was superb. Room had window which did face a church yard. Clock rang every hour but only from 8am till 10pm (I think!). All the amenities were good. Hotel felt like a Tardis!

We were at the end of the corridor so it was not too noisy and the guests were considerate however the sound proofing could have been better. Curtains were too long so ended up stepping on them. Not a problem in a bigger room but in central London when space is at premium, and hotel rooms are small, this small detail was a little annoying when trying to get round the bed. Carpet could have been hoovered a little more cleanly. It was clean but could have been a little cleaner. Same with the pad on the phone.

The hotel was amazing from start to finish. Our room was ready earlier than expected and the room was lovely. We had complimentary fruit in the room and the receptionist sent up some complimentary drinks and chocolates. They were so kind. My little girl drew them a picture and wrote a thank you note. When we checked out, they let us leave our bags to go explore london and when we returned for them gave us a gift bag of elemis treats and mini prosecco. Overall a fab stay. The heated bathroom floor was great in the cold. The mini bar was well stocked. I think the receptionist was Victoria? Apologies for not remembering but she was the best. Definitely deserves a bonus x

The hotel was a great find. Excellent position for West End shows. Room was lovely, very smart and great facilities. The complimentary fruit bowl was of excellent quality and very thoughtful. Staff were all lovely and helpful. Didn't use Gail's for breakfast but did go in there for coffee and a snack on the afternoon of arrival. The quality was very good but not what I personally would particularly like for to eat for breakfast. We did have a good deal on the room as we booked last minute. Wasn't cheap but was worth the money for such a lovely room and position. Would definitely use again.

Could hear sirens and traffic a bit at night as only had secondary glazing but the West End is a bit noisy at amy time. It did not stop me from sleeping.

The location was impeccable right at heart of Soho, Covent Gardens and Chinatown. The staff were all amazing, helpful and friendly. We loved the extra touch of complimentary drinks and snacks at the door as well as fresh fruit, bottle water, coffee and tea in our room. Despite the small size of the room, it was thoughtfully laid out in an efficient manner to maximize the space. It was a clean, safe, and very beautiful hotel.

The room was definitely a bit cramped for two people with a small double bed that was not the most comfortable. My brother and sister in law who we were travelling with were in the next room at the same price point and had a significantly larger room, so it seems the layout of the rooms is a bit of a lottery.

The hotel is in a great location very close to Covent Garden, Soho, Oxford street. The hotel is spotlessly clean, staff are excellent, and rooms are modern and comfortable.

The breakfast area is quite small but the staff were very helpful.

A very pleasant surprise. Staff were very nice and got me a room as soon as I arrived, well before 3pm. The room was surprisingly large for London standards and clean. Bed was comfy. The water, fruits and coffee in the room were all complimentary and it was really nice to find a bottle of prosecco and chocolates the night before new year's. A very generous gesture that a host cannot forget. Super well located in the heart of London.

The old windows in the rooms situated in the back don't insolate well but looking at the surrounding buildings, probably the hotel is not allowed to change them. As rooms give to a private park and to the back of other buildings, the level of noise is not representative.

The location of the hotel is a huge advantage,you can literally walk to anywhere. The room is pretty spacious. I can not not mention Kayla,the adorable receptionist with a great smile on her face every time we walked in. Very helpful,very kind always there to provide her services . Kayla thank you very much! Montcalm is all about you!! The guys on the bakery also very friendly !

They let us knew three days before our arrival that the breakfast won’t be available for almost all of our stay when we booked with breakfast. Cleanliness wasn’t on the top five of the hotel.

Nothing Due to the location and the vicinity of the hotel the traffic outside can be noisy. It calms down after midnight. It’s people in cars beeping their horns at each other which can’t be helped by the hotel, that’s just London for you.

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect, in the touristic core of London and very well connected with public transportation. The room was nice and cosy, the staff very friendly, helpful and clear. Despite the fact that the street outside (Shaftesbury Avenue) was very crowded, the room was silent and we could sleep well. Drinks, fruit and snacks in the room, outside the minibar, are offered by the hotel, included a bottle of wine. Highly suggested for a trip to London.

Maybe the only (small) drawback is the breakfast. For the price paid, we expected a in-house breakfast, while few days before our arrival we received an email saying that the breakfast would be served in a bakery close to the hotel. Indeed, when we arrived, the staff explained us that a 15 pounds voucher per person would be given every day to have breakfast at the GAIL's bakery next to the hotel, access was possible via an inner door, so no need to go out. The choice was good for a bakery, but still a bit less good than the usual self-service breakfast you can find in hotels (in this case, no fruit, no bacon, no eggs, etc). It's not a drama, we were satisfied in any case, but again for the price we paid for the hotel we expected a more complete breakfast.
