We recently stayed at this charming hotel with our family of 10, including three children, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff and owners were incredibly polite, kind, and welcoming. Their warmth truly set the tone for our stay. The hotel itself has a bit of an old-world charm, which only added to the overall experience. It had a very traditional English feel that we absolutely loved. The location is beautiful, offering a picturesque setting that was perfect for our family. Despite the hotel's age, it was extremely comfortable, and every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The rooms were well-stocked with plenty of toiletries and tea/coffee, and they were cleaned meticulously each day without us even having to ask. In short, our stay was nothing short of perfect, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy, welcoming, and authentically English experience.

Breakfast was very good, staff were very friendly and very helpful. Room was good, nice warm shower and very good bed. A really nice experience, good for pets - very welcoming. Decor a little dated, but its well priced, warm and welcoming. Have not slept as well in a hotel in many years.

Decor in a few places needs an update-mainly in rooms - but its all clean and it this is a small issue given overall experience.

The owners were so lovely and made me feel very welcome, at ease and safe as a solo female traveller. The room was very comfortable, lots of hot water, and the breakfast was delicious and great value. Martock was in a good position for visiting various national trust properties.

I thought Martock was a bit dull and not very pretty, apart from the lovely church, but that's just how it is.

A really nice hotel. A warm welcome with all staff very friendly. We had dinner one evening while we were there …. it was lovely. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. A choice of continental breakfast or full English breakfast. We chose full English which was very tasty.

We didn’t realise beforehand that all rooms were up a fair few stairs. It would be worth asking for a first floor room if not happy with stairs. Originally we had been allocated a room on the top floor but they kindly moved us when they realised that stairs were an issue.

The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was exceptional, and the staff even made the beds for us while we were out. This was unexpected, but very welcome. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend and would thoroughly recommend The White Hart. We would definitely stay again.

The stairs, but there is nothing that can be done about that. We liked everything about our stay.

Lovely team; warm personalities and positive vibe. Full English breakfast: perfect! Presented with a smile; great service. Dinner: excellent quality; French cuisine, well prepared. Dessert: unforgettable! Could stay after dinner to play some games, have some drinks. Lively location, with many locals. Good parking facilities. When in the future looking for a place in the neighborhood, we'll definitely book here again.

The staff working at the White Hart make this hotel. They were unfailingly excellent during my stay. This is a very nice hotel with a great interior and lovely rooms. Very good evening meals too. I would recommend the White Hart very highly if you wish to stay in Martock. Access to lovely towns and areas of South Somerset, including Langport.

No issues, happy with everything

Lovely friendly hotel/pub and staff...huge bedroom and very comfortable.. the food was outstanding..

Unfortunately the hotel reception dose,nt open until 5.30 and on a monday all the other pubs eateries don,t open so we had to do some frantic calling to obtain a meal and a drink having just driven for 5 hours...

The host was welcoming and offered us all the information and comfort available. The room was quiet. The pub atmosphere was relaxed although busy. We didn't had breakfast, but the dinner was one of my best I had in a pub in the last 10 years. I got lamb shank. The dessert - sticky toffee pudding with custard and pear with vanilla ice cream were excellent! And thank you for accommodating our dog too. Very nice landlords.

The WiFi didn't work.

Friendly welcoming, informative staff, theres car parking out back, the pub and surrounding buildings are just beautiful, the breakfast is immense and we'll worth the price, we have stayed here before and will definitely stay again.

Coming home, we have family in the village and absolutely love it down here.
