Location was great for the Fleet Air Arm Museum, which was the main reason for visiting the area. Food was very nice at the hotel, breakfast was great even though it was a little pricey. Very friendly staff, from checking in to check out. Full marks to the receptionist on duty at check out who gave us an alternative route back to the M5 saved miles of driving, well done that girl. Beautiful old manor house with flagstone floors . Would recommend this hotel for a stay in Ilchester and would stay again without hesitation.

The staff were lovely, breakfast was good I got what I asked for and the location was perfect I was attending a ceremony for my brother at the navy base.

The lay out of the room. The mirror had no table placed near it and the pugs were in awkward places for charging my phone and plugging in my hair curlers. I did move a table to where the mirror was. Also some quiet music in the breakfast room would be good it was a bit awkward listening to everyone clinking their knives and forks.

Old building, full of character and nicely decorated. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of parking. Breakfast was good, especially the artisan bread.

Evening service in the restaurant could have been better. May have been a one-off as they had staff in training, but table booked for 7pm, and starters appearing at 8:30. This was really disappointing as two of our party had work- related appointments to get to.

Stayed for 3 nights, room was comfortable, all staff were helpful and friendly. Good car park. Breakfast was freshly cooked after ordering, we ate in the restaurant for 2 nights , it was the same menu both nights and there was plenty of choice. As the restaurant is not open on Sunday evening when we arrived we went to a very nice Italian 5 minutes walk away. Good location to travel around Somerset, close to the Fleet Air Arm Museum and Haynes Motor Museum. We travelled to Cheddar Gorge (via Glastonbury) and also went to Weymouth, both less than 1 hour drive. Overall a good hotel and would recommend

The whole family feel is great, the staff are friendly, they have great facilities for disabled people, walk in shower, good sure bathroom, this is our second visit and will be back again soon,

The location is perfect our family live about ten minutes away, the parking is perfect, and it is a lovely village to visit,

Room was better than expected. Would describe it as superior not standard, especially the 4 poster bed and the size of the room . Top class ensuite with large separate shower.Tastefully decorated throughout. Good breakfast and the optional evening meal was delicious. All staff we encountered were so friendly ,happy and courteous. Extremely good value for money and highly recommendable.

Breakfast was nice but smoked bacon isn't to everyone's taste. We think our room was above the kitchen and could smell breakfast being cooked just before 7am. We are at about 8am. The hot food was served immediately although delicious tasted like it had been kept warm too long.. The decor was trendy like shabby chic but some places need a bit of tlc.

Definitely the restaurant. Best steak I've had for years. Room clean and sizeable. Good shower and plenty of hot water. Staff very friendly and informative. Plenty of car parking spaces.

Only small gripes. Bathroom has a step up and had a few stumbles. Should have safety yellow/black stripe tape on the doorway. Shaving lamp did not work. Sink Plug chain broke. Only 1 towel hook on back of door, should have at least 2 towel rails.

The hotel is clearly kept up to standard regardless of the day of the week or time of the year. I have stayed over in Yeovil for work a number of times in a different hotels and this was by far the most friendly, the most comfortable and the best value for money.

I couldn't get the shower to work.

Staff warned us ahead of time that their restaurant wasn't open on a Sunday suggested somewhere to eat and booked a table there for us when we asked them to. Warm welcome upon our arrival, ensured we had everything we needed. Bed was very comfortable, Internet good. Highly recommend, will be back

Shame restaurant was not open on a Sunday but understandable these days. Short walk in the rain to their recommended restaurant, excellent food made it well worth getting a bit wet

Full English breakfast excellent with no hesitation in supplying more coffee etc. One night we had dinner in the hotel which exceeded our expectations. Throughout our short stay the staff were very helpful. Note the courtyard rooms look out on a large car park and countryside. The garden rooms look onto a small garden and the road so are not so quiet.

Nothing really. We would have preferred a bath to a shower but no problem for two nights. We felt our stay was very reasonable value for money and just what we wanted.
