We were pleasantly impressed by the cleanliness and good organization of the hotel. Excellent location, free parking. Everything was very well cared for and cleaned, the room, the pool, the sauna area, as well as the breakfast area, the food was fresh and beautifully served. The temperature at the pool was ideal, the water was heated. It was a little cold in the spacious room, but a heater was brought to us. All the staff were kind, smiling and benevolent. I highly recommend it, a particularly pleasant experience. I also mention the very reasonable price. Thank you.

There was a problem with our door lock but this was dealt with professionally and with courtesy by the excellent staff. The TV reception was poor, possibly due to a loose connection, but we weren't worried about watching it. It wasn't the hotel's fault but there was a large family group staying, and young children were running around the foyer late into the evening, and again up and down the corridor outside the room at 5am disrupting our sleep. Otherwise the Novotel suited us perfectly while visiting our son who lives nearby.

Don't let one negative review put you off! The customer service is amazing! All very polite and courteous. The location is a very easy drive. I am a frequent traveller so I can easily compare hotels everywhere! With this price, it's an absolute bargain. They have swimming pool, sauna, and a gym! They even have a small playroom in the corner near the reception. This hotel is very much ideal for family- also for business travel. Parking is free too! I am over the moon with this hotel as they tick all the boxes. The main bonus for us as a family was we were able to bring our Ragdoll Cat! I will definitely come again! xx

The food bar price is pretty expensive. So just get an uber delivered! I think walls are not soundproof. I was woken up many times by people walking and knocking on the doors.

The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, from reception to the restaurant to housekeeping. The room was clean and very comfortable. The pool was a great addition to the hotel facilities and we enjoyed using it during our stay. The breakfast was excellent with something to please everyone: cereals, dried fruit, fresh fruit, yoghurt, everything for a cooked breakfast, croissants and Danish pastries, baguettes, smoked salmon, cheese and a pancake maker! Couldn't fault anything during our stay... Thank you!

There was a strange smell in our room when we arrived, and I'm not sure if it was the detergent/cloth used to clean the room or something else, but after we aired it for a while, the smell dissipated

Room was good but a little more space for three people would have been appreciated. Ample for two guests. room facilities were good. When staying at hotels we often have to ask for additional pillows but we had plenty at Novotel. Decor could be better,a little bland. Breakfast was enjoyable, plenty of choice, good quality and the buffet style suited us, liked the pancake making machine. The swimming pool and gym were a welcome facility. Enjoyed some time using them. Free parking on site very welcome.

Restaurant prices were a little pricey. The dishes offered were quite basic, curry, steak, pizza, etc. Breakfast eggs could be improved, yolks were all hard from being left too long under heat lamps.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, such an excellent variety. There was a Children's Corner.

I found the price of the room expensive seeing as it didn't include breakfast and there wasn't even a fridge in the room, which meant you couldn't bring anything in either. The size of the pool was disappointing. It seemed a lot bigger in the pictures. The changing facilities for the pool were cramped. Children's Corner could do with a few more activities to accommodate a wider range of ages and interests. Also glass doors that parent/guardians can see through, to prevent children wandering off so easily - it's very close to the main entrance.

The staff was very lovely in the evening Unfortunately, having swimming pool facilities there was no bathrobe, and no one warned lockers requiring £1 coin. So end up with the locker open, also would be handy to have signs to locate the toilet, as end up going through numerous doors Massive plus for a really clean swimming pool and sauna In general, the room was very clean and cosy... bed was comfortable

The pool is nice and warm but is small. The food is lovely. The staff in the restaurant are very helpful and the bathrobes and slippers in the room are a nice touch. The soundproof rooms are very welcomed. Good value for money.

The front of desk staff (both times we have stayed) are not the most welcoming and first impressions last. Only other moan is the other slight moan is that the robes provided in the rooms are not "one size fits all' and are not designed for larger people which is quite exclusive.

Amazing value for the money. Normally for this price you would get just a room, but they also have well perfectly clean pool and sauna. Me and my partner really enjoyed our 3 night stay, reception staff was welcoming and kind, we got a vouched for a free drunk each if we sign up for their loyalty card. We stayed at Easter break thinking it will be loud and busy especially at the pool. Reception offered us a quiet room. It was spacious,clean and cosy. Had a garden view. Pool was always clean and pleasant same as sauna yes it is small, but still plenty of space, you have to book a slot (30 mins), but you can book several times if there is availability. We didn't get breakfast as we read the reviews about. But you can always order food in. (Pleased don't get the kebab you'll see across the street, no matter how hungry you are. The guy is so rude, was laughing at as, playing mind games, seems he is very bored there, the TV he has there is dirty and full with grease. The food was old, we had to throw it out. Check F&S Kebab ltd for reviews before you decide to eat. Close to center, bus stop is near by.If you need groceries it is a 10 min walk to Tesco. Overall great experience ,like I wrote it is a great deal, because usually for the price you only get a room, this hotel has a pool and sauna too and friendly staff.

Swimming pool locker - We need to go with one rupee coin if we want to store any valuable. People leave the locker open with their belongings as most people not aware one pound is needed. Management can provide coins to the guests while giving towels in reception or change it to number lock if needed to increase the customer satisfaction or inform about this requirement to the customers while booking swimming sessions. Room - I felt the room is less spacious to walk around because of making the sofa as bed.
