My sister and I stayed at The Sheep for a long weekend and couldn't have been happier with our choice! The staff were exceptional, and nothing was too much trouble. They even helped us with our heavy suitcases with a smile :) We had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were very happy with both the choice and quality of the food. The bar area was comfortable and again, the service excellent. We wanted to stay somewhere that we wouldn't need to drive if we didn't want to, and The Sheep was perfectly situated for the restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and shops in town. Just step outside the front door! We have recommended the Sheep to our family and friends.

We were on a schools visit in the area. First time in the Cotswolds. This hotel was so warm and welcoming. Booking.com did not inform the hotel that we were 3 so they didn't know to prepare the room. Instead, the woman at reception offered us another room for our teen daughter. The rooms are comfortable and elegantly styled, great showers, and generous and delicious breakfasts. Right in the center of Stow on the Wold across from the oldest inn in England, The Porch House. Their restaurant was delicious too. Had their version of a sticky toffee pudding (with banana rum sauce) and it was yummy!

It was a bit hot in the room, but turned down the radiators and cracked open the windows. Otherwise, nothing. It was a great place to stay and would highly recommend this place.

We stayed for just one night but were warmly welcomed and soon checked in. The room was as expected, cosy and comfortable. The bed too was comfortable. The hotel is very dog friendly which was one of the main reasons for choosing the hotel. The location is excellent too right in the main area of Stow on the Wold.

The shower is modern and the bathroom facilities are good. However, the shower head was dripping constantly, and we had to place it in the bath to stop the dripping noise. The restaurant is lovely and I was served a full English breakfast which looked excellent, until I came to eat it as it was lukewarm / in parts cold, rather than hot. I could have mentioned this to the member of staff on duty but didn't so in fairness I didnt give them the opportunity to put things right which I am sure they would have done. The team member in the restaurant who served us was very good.

great location and comfortable rooms. I felt the staff (lack of) could have a little more cheerful seen as it was Boxing Day. The hotel didn’t feel very Christmassy. A tree in reception and a few decs would have felt more inviting on arrival. To be honest we felt like all the staff in the pubs / restaurants in Stow this year were all a little miserable. Didn’t really get a good Christmas vibe. On a whole, we liked the room and made the most of our stay. Think hotel was short staffed as it was a struggle to find anyone on reception. wouldn’t put us off though, we would visit again.

Lack of staff

Great location on high street. Car park ( small). Nice rooms. Great welcome from friendly and helpful Reception staff. Breakfast was a very nice experience. The food at the hotel was very good.

We were a bit surprised to find a restaurant and bar in a country Cotswold hotel being themed as a beach / harbour side restaurant, with pale blue upholstery and tiles. On a very wet and cold winters day, it didn’t feel very atmospheric, just bit cold and echoing. But….that’s just down to personal taste….nothing wrong with the quality of the decor. Hotel room….please please can you put a dressing table with a mirror and a plug…it doesn’t seem much to ask to be able to blow dry my hair without sitting in the wardrobe cupboard, which had a mirror on the back of the door!

I had a lovely stay, the bed was so comfortable! it felt like a cloud, so much so I didn’t want to leave! Additionally, it was in the ideal location to get around the beautiful quaint little town and the restaurant had wonderful food. I would very much stay again.

The only issue I had was that because the building is so old it’s not very sound proof. Thus, you could hear the people in the other rooms and the restaurant downstairs but there’s nothing you can do about that in an old building like that and luckily all the good things outweighed this one thing.

We LOVED staying at Sheep on Sheep Street Hotel!! I was travelling with my college age daughter and our room had great ventilation & a nice fan, luxurious bed linens, accommodated 2 large suitcases with an adequate wardrobe to hold our unpacked clothing. Our bathroom was a great size with a deep bathtub & wonderful shower. We enjoyed the Nespresso coffee & Russel Hobbs tea kettle in our little sitting room which had a sky light above it. The car park in back was very convenient for taxi pick ups. The staff could not have been more accommodating, helpful & kind! The restaurant next door has a beautiful outdoor area with lovely private cabanas & was perfect for breakfast, drink or snack. Stow on the Wold is a lovely historic location which affords loads of walking, shopping & eating nearby. Highly recommend this Hotel!!!

We stayed for just one night while we were visiting this part of the country. Lovely old inn very convenient in the middle of Stow. We stayed for an evening meal and breakfast both were served by very friendly pleasant members of staff. We booked for breakfast and there was plenty to choose from hot or something from the buffet. The full English was delicious and so was the egg’s royal.

Trying to find something but couldn’t

Please forgive any grammatical errors. in recovery following a stroke x A wonderful night away in the Cotswolds. Stow on the Wold is a beautiful small town. The Sheep on Sheep Street was a great choice. From the moment of arrival, until the point of departure was just fabulous. We found the entire place, very stylish and actually extremely cool. From the ground floor pub, restaurant, rear yard (table & chairs) and accommodation, we were impressed throughout. Our top floor room was very stylish. Fabulous decor, fixtures and fittings. An awesome bed and superb big bath. The food and drink choices were awesome (great menu). Fabulous staff (cheers Sam). lol Would highly recommend 👍

Nothing actually .

The sheep was very convenient for the wedding we were attending and the price was great

We came in from the back entrance as that’s were the car park was so we didn’t get a chance to see much of the hotel. The stairs were a big problem for me as I am disabled and I was unable to breathe by the time we got to the room so I had to use my nebulizer. I didn’t think about that when I booked so it’s my fault.
