The room was nice and clean, lovely biscuits, great hairdryer, comfy bed but not much storage for clothes, ie; no wardrobe. But this wasn't a problem for us. Food was amazing, highly recommend a visit. There is a large garden at the back with plenty of seating and 3 huts, so they cater for all weathers. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Only minor things; they forgot to fill up our milk for the morning coffee. At our first meal they brought the wrong starter after we had waited for half an hour, which didn't go down well. We used the QR code on table outside to order a drink and it didn't work one time. And the parking. The town is very busy and has limited parking. Their car park is very small but you can park on the road as long as it's not permit-only or limited to 2 hours.

This hotel was booked at quite short notice for a night away with my girlfriend. It's right in the middle of town, so it's just a short walk away from pubs, cafes, antique shops, the cheese shop and all the delights of Stow. The room itself was very luxurious with beautiful decor and furnishings, the added bonus being a coffee machine and a couple of cookies sat on the dresser on our arrival. Wonderful views, a really comfy bed, and lots of space. Big bathroom, complete with a deep bath. The receptionist was warm and welcoming, whereas the bar man gave as good as he got in terms of banter on the evening.

I'm not sure there's anything that they could improve on.

We loved everything about our very brief stay at The Sheep from our first interaction on the phone with the reception to our last interaction as we said our goodbyes and promise of "we'll be back!" The room itself was stunning and the bed was perfect for a great night's sleep! We were late arriving and unfortunately we hadn't booked a table but the staff went out of their way to book us a table across the road at the Porch which incidentally offered us one of the best burgers we have had the pleasure of eating! Our room rate included breakfast which did not disappoint one bit!

We honestly couldn't find a negative other than we couldn't stay longer!

The property was brilliant. From the welcome at reception on arrival to leaving, we had a great time. It was a hot weekend and we spent a few hours in the beer garden relaxing. The room was very comfortable and had tea and coffee facilities. The bathroom was very spacious with a good quality bath tub and efficient shower. The towels were good quality and everything was very clean. The only thing I didn’t like was, there was not hand rail for getting in and out of the shower . The food was excellent.

Rooms were great. Old stone walls were pretty cool. Initial greeting on checking in was great.

So we were there over a bank holiday. We are from Canada and not the UK so we did not know there would not be anywhere in town we could eat without prior reservations for dinner. You would think the hotel may mention that when you are booked in to stay. When it was time for dinner, everyplace in town was booked and we were stuck without dinner. This was pretty disappointing that this was not mentioned before.

Location was excellent & staff were very accommodating.

The cosy room we were given had a faulty radiator with no method of controlling the temperature. It was v warm in the room & we eventually requested a different room . We were given another room but not as stylish as original. Danielle was excellent in helping us with this issue.

Room was clean with comfy bed and great shower. We had our evening meal in the restaurant and it was excellent if a little noisy. Friendly helpful staff. Good location near to the centre of Stow.

Parking to the rear of hotel is limited. Access to the higher floors is via fairly narrow stairs so be aware if you have any mobility issues. Breakfast was a fixed price buffet but details of choice/cost weren't explained on the first morning we ate there. At £15 it was good value if you took the cooked breakfast but not so if you were only taking coffee and toast.

Centrally located, an interesting old building. We had a lovely en suit room at the top of the building, a very comfortable bed and all the essentials were provided. Would suggest requesting a ground floor room if you have mobility issues with stairs. Friendly staff but no one on duty at night.

Base for a family wedding, getting back late a family member had difficulty getting to room as some internal doors were locked and no one was on duty.

My sister and I stayed at The Sheep for a long weekend and couldn't have been happier with our choice! The staff were exceptional, and nothing was too much trouble. They even helped us with our heavy suitcases with a smile :) We had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were very happy with both the choice and quality of the food. The bar area was comfortable and again, the service excellent. We wanted to stay somewhere that we wouldn't need to drive if we didn't want to, and The Sheep was perfectly situated for the restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and shops in town. Just step outside the front door! We have recommended the Sheep to our family and friends.
