The property is located in an excellent location. The staff were friendly and the rooms were excellent with a "quirky" different feel to them. We stayed in room 4 that was situated over 2 levels with the bedroom and bathroom on the upper floor. The bathroom was very well equipped with an excellent double shower. The breakfast was served 8:30am to 9:30am in the tea room below. Several options were offered and everything arrived hot and of good quality. We have no hesitation in recommending or staying here again.

The Accommodation was not staffed over night and breakfast was very good but very little interaction from staff with customers. So if you like very little staff interaction and fuss it’s the perfect place but if you like conversation, feeling of being looked after and asking about the local area etc it’s not the place for you. Also no parking. Overall a lovely place to stay.
We were not told what to do in case of a fire and there were no staff on site and guests coming in to the premises late in the evening. No shower mat in bathroom.

Great location, room was big and spacious and very well decorated. Very nice bathroom with shower and bathtub. Bed was super comfy, really recommended
No veggie options for breakfast, only option was beans on toast or a modified English breakfast. But it was tasty and very nice. A recommendation for visitors of Stow on the Wold: book for dinner as all places were fully booked!

The location is excellent. Right in the middle of the town but not noisy at all. Our room was at the front of the building so we looking a road but the town is quiet at night so no noise
The only negative I can think of (and this is incredibly minor) is that there were no extra pillows or n the room and the tea facilities didn’t have a decaf option. We did not ask for these to be rectified but I’m certain the staff would have accommodated if we had of sone

Fabulous location right in the centre Room was big and the bed very comfortable The hosts although pleasant could’ve been more welcoming and pleased to see us - could’ve asked how breakfast was and whether more coffee was wanted - felt it all lacked warmth and genuine welcome
Decor a bit tired - furniture not quite fitting the style of room (eg could’ve had comfy chairs and better kettle facilities - only decaf provided and kettle area was at an odd low level - not quite right- tv blocked beautiful fireplace - could’ve made more of features - not sure about fire safety re evacuation and walking into a dark tea room at night - a night light could’ve been useful

Wow what an amazing place, accommodation was beautiful. The room was huge and had everything you could want for a stay away from home. Breakfast was perfect and set you up for the day ahead, so accommodating also to different food requests. Enjoying your breakfast next to a roaring fire, what more can you ask for! They make the best freshly ground coffee I have tasted in the last 20 years of visiting the cotswolds too.
Having to leave!

Brilliant, spacious room, with fabulous en-suite. Fantastic breakfast and very friendly hosts. Great location for sightseeing as well. A perfect place to stay. The place is full of character and much better than the standard 'chain' hotels.
Nothing, it was first class - just remember to duck your head going to the rooms, it's an old building!

Our room was very large and quirky as it was in the eaves of the property. Please note that this means you need to climb some steep and small stairs with your luggage - we were advised it was upstairs before booking so no issue for us. The bed was large and comfortable and there was also two chairs and a sofa in the room so places to sit and relax. The bathroom was separate on the landing and was equipped with high quality fittings. It was private for our use only so was really like a suite , not just one room. The place was clean and located above the tearoom on one of the main streets in Stowe so a good location. We were greeted on arrival and shown to our room. The host also provided helpful information about eating options which was very welcome.
It wasn't an issue for us but there is no on site parking, although there is free public parking available close by.

fabulous location, beautifully clean rooms, and fantastic breakfast!
Only slight issue were the bathrooms in room 1 and room 3 were extremely cold due to radiators not on, and the toilet in room 3 was rather temperamental, however this did not detract from our overall enjoyment.

We stayed in a Superior King Room. Our room was up a flight of narrow stairs. This was fine for us but might need to be considered for others. It was very spacious with an ensuite bathroom with a powerful shower over a bath. The extra king size bed was huge and very comfortable. We had a window seat and our room overlooked the main street. This was very quiet on an evening and we enjoyed a bit of people watching. Breakfast was eaten downstairs in the cafe before it opened to the public. No cereal on offer but you could have a choice of cooked food and toast with tea, coffee and juice. The tearooms are very central and we loved the convenience of being in town. Parking is available in the market Square or on nearby streets. Free, long stay parking is available at the large Tesco store just outside the town centre. Its only about a 10 minute walk away.
Our stay was very comfortable.
