Lynne and Spiro were most welcoming. Rooms were clean and had everything we required. The food was absolutely fantastic, from the full English breakfasts to Spiro's wonderful Greek food. This location was really handy for visiting family who live nearby, and also close to Scarborough, Bridlington, and Hornsea. We are so glad that everywhere we tried in Bridlington was fully booked and we were lucky enough to find the last two rooms in The Star Inn. We will definitely be returning when we make future visits to the area.

breakfast was excellent as was the service. room was very clean and fitted out well. everything you could wish for. accommodating times for breakfast and not rushed.

only minor thing was door key probably wants recut as sticks in lock sometimes, perhaps replace sealant around hot water unit over sink, both minor and not reported to the staff like I should of.

The food here was brilliant - proper Greek food, and the ambience of the inn was great. I couldn't fault the staff either, they went out of their way to make the stay an enjoyable one for me (including lending me some shaving cream when I forgot some)!

The only thing I would probably change is that there's no form of temp. control in the room I stayed in. Potentially could have a fan or something in the room - so if you're staying during a heatwave, as I did, I'd probably take one with you.

A very traditional old pub with accommodation that was clean and had good facilities. We slept well, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The meals were wonderful. Breakfast (full English) was delicious and the evening meals were really wonderful examples of Greek cooking. The mixed mezze for 2 that we had on our first night there was really good.

The decor was a little old fashioned but it was in keeping with the age and atmosphere of the pub.

Everything was brilliant, the great location meant spoilt for choice as to where to go each day, Yorkshire is truly beautiful. The Star Inn was very clean and the food was excellent - a great choice of what to have for both breakfast and evening meals. Having a chalet just a courtyard walk from the pub meant no worrying about where to go for anything. The hosts were really lovely, very friendly and so helpful - really made us feel at home. The chalet as well as being spotlessly clean was very comfortable. Plus the locals that visited the pub were very friendly and made us feel at home. A great week's stay and so glad we chose it!

Breakfast was great, room very clean and comfortable and hosts were friendly, approachable and did everything they could to make it a great stay which it was> Location is perfect - easy to get to so many beautiful places and plenty of parking at the venue. All good!

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The room was lovely and big with 2 chairs and a sofa along with the bed, great for when we wanted to relax meaning we didn't have to sit on the bed (like you often have to in hotels). Even though the rooms are located at the rear of the pub, at the back of the car park, it was really quiet. Lynn is such a lovely person who made us feel really welcome. She greets everyone in the same warm welcoming way and always has time to chat. Spiro is a brilliant chef his Greek dishes are absolutely fabulous. There is a wide choice of food available both British and Greek. There is a good choice of cooked dishes for breakfast, we had full English each morning which was prepared with high quality ingredients. Overall, a truly wonderful stay, I would definitely recommend the Star Inn.

lovely pub/hotel, the food was fantastic, we booked breakfast and evening meal, breakfast i had scrambled egg on toast ,it was best ive ever tasted,husband had ful English,was cooked lovely. evening meal i had the chicken Souvlaki it was all Greek large portion,and so tasty ,hubby had steak and ale pie he loved it too. We loved our ground floor chalet,very clean and had everything we needed .would not hesitate to stay there again id even drive the 1hr 30 mins it takes for us to get there just to go for the Greek food again :) overall very friendly place to stay

more shelf/cupboard space would have been useful, with hooks for coats (but aware there was limited space!) and a chair

The location was fine, did not have breakfast, as it was not included in the price.

We had a birthday meal on Saturday night, with four other family members, and they all said the same thing about the food, could have been better. One thing we all noticed about the menu no English food on offer.
