The room which was the penthouse suite was excellent, We have stayed in many hotels,but not like that one the views were to die for balcony at each end of the room one in the bedroom and one in the living room

The buffett breakfast could have been warmer, we booked for 9.15 and were struggling to find bread, butter and milk jugs a lot of things had not been replenished, they seemed to be short staffed on boxing day. The conservatory is dated and could do with a face lift

Location is perfect, rooms with a sea view are excellent. The fact that even though the breakfast was a buffet all cooked food was covered and hot. Option to have fried or poached eggs, cooked on request, restaurant staff very friendly and obliging...

Bathroom, could do with updating showers, handles to assist getting in and out, as showers are over the bath and not so easy to get in and out especially for older or less able people. Everyday there was a shortage of baked beans and hash browns, might seem trivial but surely it's a simple thing to have plenty of. Went with a few of the family, seems everyone had hot chocolate sachets in room except ours... room never had a safe but others did....

"Not Like" is too strong for one tiny niggle. We came back to hotel at 10 pm and went to order a sandwich or something light to eat. However Meals stopped at 8pm. I then asked at reception if we could order room service but that too was unavailable as kitchen closed at 8pm. The receptionist did say we could order a take away and if we wanted they would supply us with plates etc. and we could eat in our room or at one of the tables. That was a good suggestion but we weren't hungry enough for a take away. Fault really lay with us for not checking and just assuming we'd be able to order a light snack later in the evening. Enjoyed our breakfast even more next morning.

Really friendly staff at reception & restaurant & lovely breakfasts. Excellent service from the staff member who supported the Wake for my brother in law on 28th. Excellent layout & presentation of the room for the above & delicious food provided. On booking through Booking.com then liasiing with reception staff, a reallocation of a ground floor room with a river view was easily agreed. Great for viewing the busy river traffic including cruise ships to Amsterdam. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone.

Not an easy situation to manage by the hotel but being on the ground floor it was difficult when people sat outside the bedroom window on the bench to have a smoke. Everything else was perfect.

The location is beautiful, we had the opportunity to see some very interesting ships go past. The restaurant has nice food.

The receptionist asked for my full card details, including the security no, despite the fact that I had already paid. My card has been recently frauded, so I felt very uncomfortable. I also felt it is insulting to assume that we will trash the room. The room was cold and didn't really warm up well. The staff serving breakfast were rather rude, and I felt as if I was given pitty food, despite having paid for breakfast. Our experience would have been much better if not for this.

The room was very clean and well equipped, with a pleasant view out towards the river The staff were all very pleasant-mannered and polite. The catering staff were extremely helpful, and took care to discuss and help with my food allergy (gluten intolerance) and I had a very pleasant evening meal with a gluten-free beer as well.

The actual location of the hotel is lovely, but I was a little concerned before I arrived about walking there (solo traveller) from the Metro station after dark as it is isolated and the adjacent park was the scene of anti-social behaviour last year at the same time (week of bonfire night). But I needn't have worried. Streets were well lit and I had a pleasant walk.

The hotel is in a great location for the beach it is within walking distance of the show ground the staff care about you , the food is much better than you are going to expect it to be,the rooms are great the views are amazing the hotel is well worth the money paid 😀 I have stayed here many times and I am planning to stay here again I am extremely pleased with my stay and I am extremely grateful to all the staff who have helped me during my stay thank you so very much 😀 😊 I hope to see you all again soon

There is nothing to dislike about this hotel or the staff

our second time at this hotel love its location the view from the room is stunning. Facilities in the hotel are good nice lounge bar, breakfast room is a great space. Parking is the best always spaces available. Staff are kind and helpful especially the ladies in the breakfast room.

The only criticism we have is the continental breakfast under the new management is a joke yogurt, cereals and fruit does not a continental make ! A continental here used to be sliced meats, boiled eggs, pastries and bread none of this apart from a few pastries on the first morning existed(none the rest of the week) . If you can't provide the goods don't advertise it. Chef was a bit poor at turning up on time and having things ready to go at 7.

The location is great and if you're lucky you might see the seaside from your room which is very nice. If not, then there are several walking paths around the hotel. Also, although there was a party that night, plenty of notice was sent and it wasn't too nosy when I arrived therefore it was a good nice sleep within a comfortable bed.

Some part of the bathroom was not fully cleaned (e.g., hairs which could potentially have been missed). Also, as when I arrived I missed the car booking which wasn't greatly highlighted nor reminded (to be fair we might have all been tired and ready to sleep, around 11pm), I got fined. Hopefully, this was sorted ot thanks to the other employee in the morning during the check out (a big thank you for helping and confirming all was in order later on too).

Beyond brilliant, stayed here before and one room re view was special, asked and on arrival had been allocated that room. Was Christmas stayed one night but room, facilities, extra tea, coffee, biscuits, milk and towels, toiletries taken care of in room, staff had planned ahead. Brilliant breakfast and lovely staff who did everything to give those staying a great breakfast and Christmas morning. Would revisit, recommend. Such an easy check in, car can park easily in car park, right at the side of the sea and always something to view from your room even if its raining. Brilliant place to stay and hotel.
