The Sea Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I requested a walk in shower and it was in a very large sized bathroom in the annex part of the hotel. It was perfect for what we needed which was an hotel by the sea front to visit family. We were out during most of the days we were there, so didnt need anything more than what we got. The breakfasts were great and the staff were very polite and accomodating.

There was some work taking place whilst we were there but it was Easter break so nobody was working during the time we were there. Towels in the bathroom were not changed daily, (we were there a week), and the room wasnt swept daily. The weather was very wet at that time so we obviously had sandy muddy shoes almost daily. Once mentioned the floor was swept immediately.

The staff were lovely. The room was fine. The hotel is undergoing maintenance work, so the room needed some paintwork finished. The location was perfect. Near the seaside and attractions.

Unfortunately, there is no lift, making it very difficult for me to carry my luggage upstairs. As a senior solo traveller, this was a challenge. I stayed four nights and whilst I understand that Easter is a busy time, the breakfasts weren't the best with some items being unavailable. A workman repairing floorboards using noisy electric tools in the dining area during breakfast time was perhaps not ideal, although the refurbishment is looking good.

Room was a good size , beds very comfortable , breakfast was very good , staff very friendly, Location was excellent as only a short walk to Ocean Road , where there are lots of restaurants to choice from , there is plenty of choice at reasonable prices . During the day, Colemans Chip shop on Ocean Rd is famous for their fish & chips, the batter is very light , it closes around 6pm, at lunch hour there is a queue out on to the street - you have been warned ! Easy walking distance from hotel to beach and all the amusement area for kids . Plenty of parking spaces too

I had booked a twin room , my friend & I are retired plus I am disabled , so it was a struggle for me to get up 2 flights of stairs. I was told twin rooms are on first floor which is a pity

Great hotel in perfect location. Shame the bar wasn't fully finished and open but sure it will be next time. Lady on check in was so friendly and welcoming, then again thisndame the following morning when served our breakfast. Room was clean and overlooked the park. Breakfast was superb, freshly cooked and extra toast given no problem. Car parking is secure overnight and free, as long as you put in reg at check in.

Have stayed here twice before and had no complaints. Only thing that let us down this time was how uncomfortable the bed was, we could literally feel the springs in the mattress.

Let’s address the title of the review first. There were a couple of little things that a fussy or moaning traveller might have picked up or mentioned, but nothing to reduce the overall impact of a great value stay, so I am not even going to say what they were. This is a great value location with lovely, friendly staff, nice facilities, some of which are being refurbished to be even better over the coming weeks. The place was clean, the bedroom was big and the bed comfortable too. The power shower and the bathroom toiletries were good and the free on-site parking was very convenient. And then came breakfast. Included in a very very compelling and surprisingly low room rate, the breakfast was as good as many I have had in 4 and 5 star hotels and better than most, and all served with a smile. I travel to the area for work on a regular basis and I will definitely be back. Thank you Sea Hotel Team. It was my pleasure to stay at your establishment.

Walls in our room were dirty with flaky plaster and paint falling off, room was on the small side and very hot during the night, did not sleep well, yet the radiator was not on and it was not warm outside. Two seagulls were nesting on the roof outside our window. Doors at the top of stairs were dirty needed a good clean.The new Adham bar was not a patch on the previous bar, mostly empty with no atmosphere, very disappointed and would think twice about booking again

We stayed for 4 nights and Had the most amazing time!!! …my 5 year old son has autism and uses a pushchair as something that regulates him if he’s feeling overwhelmed. I called in advance to discuss the lack of lift and breakfast .. the lady at the desk Jackie was so accommodating and said I could put his pushchair in a cupboard downstairs so I wasn’t carrying it up and down every-time we went out, then we came up with a plan for breakfast incase he struggled with the people around. breakfast was great simple but still plenty to choose from, Kim understood my sons needs and was so lovely with him and me especially when he had kept me and my husband up all night cos of all the excitement. All of the staff were amazing but particularly Jackie on the desk and Kim on breakfast … they made our stay the best it could be and we will definitely be back next year. Thankyou for making our little family holiday so memorable and happy.

Room was a tad too warm and some work needed on stairs but nothing that directly affected our amazing stay

Excellent, friendly, helpful staff who went above and beyond to look after us. The breakfast was tasty and staff waiting on us were friendly and it was quick service. It is perfected located just across from the beach/sea. We could see the sea from our room and hear the waves during the night which as soothing and comforting. We were very pleased with the room, nicely decorated and clean. Will visit again.

We arrived to find the boiler was being replaced which meant no hot water in the rooms. We were told it was going to be a few hours, but it turned out to be longer than we expected and longer than hotel expected too. But the staff kept us informed about the progress of the boiler replacement and they were very helpful. They rang us on the bedroom telephone to inform us. We were very impressed with this helpfulness of staff. The hot water came on and it was lovely!

I stayed Monday to Friday so the town and beach were quiet. It was across the road from North Beach and a very short walk to south beach. It lies on the England Coastal path so there is ample walking available. Dogs are only allowed on South Beach before 8 am and after 6 pm.

The hotel is undergoing some renovations on the main hall stair. This did not in any way detract from the stay. There is a funfair across the road from the hotel which may get quite noisy in high season and on weekends. I stayed Monday to Friday so I did not experience this.

Reception team were sure helpful, young lady on Sat am booking us a taxi and giving us lots of local info. The loo has a quiet flush. Great location.

Bed was so hard my back still aches. I thought the windows were open but they were not... so every sound sea facing could be heard. The heating was on in our room.... arggghhhh mid June... during heatwave. With no air con I simply could not reverse the damage, slept with fan on all night. That could save hotel££. The hotel is in desperate need of makeover. our bedroom ceiling had 3+ large brown stains on them. Just needs TLC.
