Guest house with multiple rooms. Bathroom was shared but lovely big bathtub. No shower but that was ok for me. My room was on the top floor up 3 flights of stairs. Though the place is unstaffed when I arrived the cleaner was there and was very helpful and helped me get my bag up the stairs. Breakfast was simple but does the trick. Room was comfortable, but not for tall people as this one was in the roof space.

Oxford is currently undergoing lots of construction and roadworks. The walk to and from the train station and the centre of town was a bit precarious and not really good for a solo traveller or anyone with mobility issues.

Jess was there on our arrival. She kindly carried my suitcase upstairs for me. !! (She offered which is quite something as we were on the 3rd floor and I have a bad back so I would really have struggled.) It was nice that the breakfast room is open for most of the day and you can get coffee - great coffee machine.

We did not enjoy sharing a bathroom with other guests. Maybe if there was a shower it would have been more acceptable? Could they put blinds / curtains for the sun in the breakfast room? It gets very very hot and the sun shines onto the food making it sweat.

Super comfy king size bed with large ensuite. Good to have breakfast included in the price. Great parking facilities- so close to the city centre. Ideal location. Handy to have a self check-in service. The fan in the room was a god send as it was a mega hot summer's day. Lots of cereal choices at breakfast and helpful staff topping up the milk on request. Free WiFi and tea, coffee facilities in the room. Nice shared courtyard. Would definitely recommend and come back.

It could do with a freshen up in the bathroom - paint chipped/ damp on the walls. The carpet in the bedroom could be refreshed. We struggled to open some of the windows. Breakfast was mediocre- not a huge choice and had to share one large table with other guests. The actual breakfast room was extremely hot as there was no fan available. As other reviews have stated it would be really beneficial to have a toaster in the breakfast room.

On arrival only 1 key (spare to our room as previous guest had not returned it) no front door key. No note to say this lucky the cleaner was there to phone manager to explain about the key. This also ment our room could not be tided during our stay. Breakfast was OK if you liked cereals and bread ( no toaster) . We knew it was self service and Continental. Not the greatest Continental breakfast I have had. No one to top up the juice in the fridge when it ran out . Coffee machine was switched off one morning so 6 guests sat waiting for coffees until 1 guest switched it on . With an error code coming up on it .

nice place in good location /close to the railway station, walking distance from old town. Rooms are clean and equipped in nice "English" style. the check-in information was on time and clear, phone contact with the owner was possible and effective. Good breakfast in the morning.

old wall contacts/or installation, I needed to buy additional adapter in Tesco to charge my phone. My standard adapter did not work in this place (although it worked in all others in UK). Self check in /check out worked great but as there are very few places to store luggage in Oxford it would be nice to have chance to leave the luggage for couple of hours but due to remote check - in // check out it did not seem to be possible.

The Osney Arms is close to Oxford train station and about 20 minutes walk to the center of the city. It is on several bus routes which was useful when it rained heavily! The room was clean, quiet and comfortable; the bed was a treat to sleep in. The only drawback was the ceiling as the room may have been an attic; I had to be careful not to bang my head. The shared bathroom was clean, though the washbasin drained quite slowly. I liked the bathtub with feet though I did not use it. My room was at the back of the building so was fairly quiet; the front is on a busy main road which would have been noisier. The breakfast room had a good selection of items - cereals, bread, juices etc. I could not work out how to use the coffee machine though!

The new owner was very nice and helpful, and cared for us very well. He offered us to stay at out room before the official check-in time.

A baby chair was missing. And we felt a strange smell in the room. However, when we opened a window, it was fine. Maybe some things would need to be renovated or replaced e.g. carpets. But again, the new owner is trying even though it will not go immediately.

I booked two rooms, one for me and a second for a friend. The first room was in line with all the reviews you can read in the feedbacks, so that was OK. The breakfast was good and copious, please label the eggs as “hard boiled”. Only the nice Polish lady in the kitchen and me knew how to spin eggs to find out if they were cooked or not! The station is an easy walk.

Sadly, the second room was not cleaned, the bed not made etc. No reply on the first “help line” number but the lady on the second line immediately offered another room. On a subsequent call I discovered that a plumber had had to do repairs in the first room. The alternative room had plumbing issues as well so third room, this time OK, was offered for my friend. My feedback has to be “In case of works, please be sure to check on the arrivals register and be sure that guests are informed of alternative arrangements BEFORE they arrive and have to solve the problem themselves”.

The room, whilst reasonably small, was nicely decked out and very clean. The upstairs bathroom was beautiful and incredibly warm. We really enjoyed the continental breakfast as well, there was a good selection on offer.

We stayed overnight on possibly the coldest winter's evening of the year and the bedroom heaters did not seem to work very well. Or just not set for long enough given the outdoor temps - it remained pretty cold throughout!

Good location, parking fairly easy, comfortable room. Everything clean and warm. Thanks a lot for giving us the room we requested - much appreciated.

In the room the TV didn't work, the bathroom basin light didn't work and a blind in the bedroom was broken (had to be hoisted manually onto rail, which a shorter person would not be able to do). At breakfast the coffee is atrocious. All very impersonal, staff not overly friendly, but there may have been a language barrier.
