I booked as a last minute with work and as I was unsure where I would be in the evening. as soon as I had booked they messaged me with all the details and I rang up just to let them know I would be only 30 mins. Richard was very welcoming and helpful. The single room I stopped in was a good size and the bed was a big single, not one of those tiny single beds you can get. In the morning Richard brought me a great continental breakfast, fresh fruit, toast a croissant and cereal too. I didn’t manage to go for a walk around the ground but from what I could see they were spectacular. thanks for being so accommodating at last minute. also it’s all within a gated area so as I have a van I felt my very confident leaving it in the car park area. I will definitely be booking again if I’m ever in the area again.

Online it stated a studio with lake view. I then saw photos of the shepherds hut post booking. When we arrived we were told that’s where we were staying. I was over the moon as that’s what I wanted to book. Hosts were so helpful and just down to earth. The hut its self was just perfection. So quiet and just your own little space. The facilities in the hut were just what you needed. All necessities and the bathroom actually surprised me. Such a lovely spot and you can tell the time and love spent to make the hut the home away from home. I’ve never fallen to sleep so quick. The bed is so comfty. All in all I would have stayed for a week or even a month. It’s just perfect. Would recommend to anyone who wants somewhere that’s just cosy and secluded. Last but not least I can’t forget the cutest fluffiest ginger cat. So pleasant and sociable.

I don’t think there is anything. The water tank could do with being a little bigger but the amount of water you get is just right what what you need to do in the shower

This is the second time that I have stayed at this facility and find that the owners are very friendly, welcoming and also helpful. My room on this occasion was extremely warm and quite close as it was warm day. I wouldn't appreciated some air conditioning. I would have also appreciated a place to sit down outside of the room for some fresh air. Such as a small bistro table set would have been lovely. I did have a lovely light sleep and left feeling relaxed. Thanks for having me me xx

Not much. If I was picky, some heat in the bathroom would have been nice. Perhaps make it clear in description that you need to drive out for an evening meal as there is nothing in walking distance except a Chinese takeaway, which is cash only.

Amazing room, very impressed with the quality of the room and the rest of the property. Clearly the owners have taken a lot of time and effort to get the place just right. Amazingly clean, the room was pristine both in furniture and furnishings. Impressed with the bathroom. The breakfast is a continental breakfast which was served up in abundance and quality. Only stayed for one night but will be back to stay longer . Bravo to the owners so much effort to achieve such a great place.

Unfortunately we didn't get to stay longer. Will need to come back again, hopefully very soon.

Peter and Anita were so welcoming and made us feel very comfortable Breakfast was very tasty, and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. Highly recommend staying here They were aware we were in the area for a funeral and contacted us to say our rooms could be available as soon as needed it, which was a relief and very welcome after travelling for 3 hours. We were able to change and meet our family feeling relaxed and comfortable.

Lovely friendly and private rooms in a quiet corner of this Cambridgeshire village with its own small nature reserve! Superior continental breakfast, everything you might want, delivered to your room. Highly recommended.

if you come by car, it’ll be fine but if not, the bus service from Peterborough is infrequent and it’s a long walk to Whittlesey railway station, though there are pleasant footpaths and cycle routes away from the busy main road.

The apartment was super clean and well appointed and the hosts were amazing. The property is in a great location with a village, supermarket and pub close by. The property has its own fishing lake, so, whilst we don’t fish, we could pop down there in the evenings and sit on the bench in the sun. We would definitely recommend it.

We loved it! the most thoughtfully laid out Shepherds Hut we have stayed in. ground around were lovely. Hosts couldn’t do enough for you. so helpful and always went above & beyond. Bed was a little soft for our liking but still super comfortable. Extremely clean. Electronic cooker is so fast - cooked food with ease. Loved it. Hope to be able to book up to visit again! Only suggestions I would make - salt & pepper provided and perhaps small oil & some tumbler type glasses for cold water/squash would have been nice. If possible small maps of the walks we went on, oh, and a few more tea bags but these are just our suggestions from our stay. But other than that it was sublime!

The shepherds hut was built to a great spec, it was cosy, warm, clean. Had everything you needed for a short stay.

Nothing really, the description wasn't quite accurate as it was classified as a studio with lake view, bir the lake was a short walk from the hut. But apparently this was as a result of limited choice of description titles on booking.com, according to the owner, but it was still fine
