Everything, the rooms were unique with their furnishings, high quality, attention to detail, some nice surprise luxuries that you won't find at a commercial hotel. They really go the extra mile. I had a lovely sleep, one of the rooms were able to be upgraded for free which I let my friend have and it was huge! The breakfast, I'm not keen on continental and usually avoid, however this place changed my mind for the future, they do continental breakfasts how they should be done. Will be returning when I need some down time or to de-stress in the future.
Not one thing I could complain or dislike, everything fabulous

We can highly recommend staying at this hotel. It is set in a nice residential location. The property itself is beautiful and has been furnished to compliment the age of the building. The parking is great and the hotel is opposite a road that leads to one of the most beautiful beaches in England. You can even catch the open air bus if you don't want to drive/walk. There's also a friendly pub which serves food within a short walk - perfect! We were met by our host at the hotel with a lovely welcome. He was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was plenty big enough and everything was immaculate. The hosts have thought of everything, plus some little extra's - we especially liked the China mugs for our cup of tea, and the chocolate mint on the pillow. Breakfast was continental and there was plenty of choice with delicious fresh fruit, cereals, meats, cheeses, juices, yoghurts etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grovefield Manor, and will definitely be back! If we could give 11 out of 10 we would!
nothing!

Spotlessly clean hotel, rooms with everything in them you need.. water, tea/coffee, hairdryer etc Chris very pleasant and friendly just
Only criticism was that it isn’t stated in the listing that they do NOT offer a cooked breakfast.. only a continental although nice selection if that is what you prefer but therefore made it on the slightly expensive side as has to go to purchase breakfast or earlier lunch. Would be better if option was priced for room only if this breakfast bit suitable or preferred option for guests

This is a charming hotel. No cooked breakfast, but the continental offering was very good. Plenty of cold meats, cheese, fruit, cereals - and toast and tea/coffee brought to the table. The staff were polite and helpful. The bed was comfortable. Only a short walk to the Sea - and the promenade leading from Bournemouth to Sandbanks.
A cooked breakfast would have been nice. Very low water pressure in the bathroom. Took nearly 30 minutes to half fill the bath. No real complaints though - we enjoyed our stay.

The location and the cleanliness. The bed was very comfortable. Chris is always very welcoming and accommodating especially with the parking. It is a short distance from the sea and a lovely pub. A quiet location.
It is sad that it is only a continental breakfast especially on the weekend. I was so looking forward to a cooked breakfast on Sunday morning. It doesn’t mention this on booking.com. I checked afterwards as the restaurant staff member said I should have checked at booking time. It does however appear in the reviews which I hadn’t read as this was my 4th stay. I would then rather have a lie in and have an early lunch at the beach for a discounted rate.

The room was lovely, spacious, clean and tidy. Plenty of storage for clothes etc so unpacking was a breeze. The whole hotel looks very well taken care of and clean all around. Breakfast was a very nice continental style buffet with fresh pastries, cold meats, cheese, cereal, fresh berries and yoghurt. A choice of toast, breakfast muffin or crumpets was offered as well. The bed was firm, which I liked, and very large which helps when you're over 6ft tall. Location is perfect for exploring the area as it's close to a lot of things, but far enough from the centre that it's still quiet and peaceful.
Shower leaked a bit onto the floor due to the seal on the basin, but that's it!

We were upgraded into the most lovely room. We had a comfortable, clean, well equipped room. Comfy bed and excellent facilities. The family who ran it were so friendly and helpful that it was a joy to be there. This was going to be a particularly trying time as we had travelled to the Poole area for a funeral. The place we stayed at made this so much more relaxing and comforting, so full marks to everyone involved. We will definitely go back. Breakfast in the Continental style was perfect with plenty to eat.
Absolutely no negatives. Except for the weather of course, as we were in the throes of storm Cieran. However, we managed a walk to the sea which was three minutes away. Perfect. So it didn't bother us.

the hotel was immaculate, very warm and helpful welcome. all staff very friendly and informative about the area. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean, modern and really good attention to all details. Comfy bed, good size tv, lovely heavy curtains, lovely thick carpet, lots of mirrors with plug sockets in the right places. the en-suite was beautiful, modern and spotlessly clean with a really good walk-in shower. nice outside terrace with garden table and chairs. Very quiet but also only a short walk to the beach and very close to a pub. Everything was perfect and we’ll definitely return.

Very clean hotel and in a nice quiet location. Not a large hotel which suited us. Room plenty big enough and good size ensuite with shower and bath water is also softened which is a bonus in a very hard water area Owner very informative if you are new to the area and need some help advice on where to eat and visit. Beach is 200 yds away and getting to either Poole or Bournemouth max ten minutes by car. Bust stop outside. Breakfast is continental with plenty of choice which suited me and the wife. I have been coming to the Bournemouth area for 40 years now and wish I had found this hotel earlier. Ticks all the boxes.no tired looking carpets and poor fixtures here. Ample free car parking Will be booking this hotel next time we visit

Super location for the seafront between Poole & Bournemouth, great pub just 3 min walk away that does some excellent food & drink (note - kitchen closes at 17:30 on Sunday). At the Grovefield Chris and his team couldn’t have been more welcoming. Lovely comfortable room and bed, spotlessly clean and very good continental breakfast. Coupled with very good value for money we’d certainly stay again.
Only niggle is that I’m not a fan of electric showers but not a major issue.
