the hotel was immaculate, very warm and helpful welcome. all staff very friendly and informative about the area. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean, modern and really good attention to all details. Comfy bed, good size tv, lovely heavy curtains, lovely thick carpet, lots of mirrors with plug sockets in the right places. the en-suite was beautiful, modern and spotlessly clean with a really good walk-in shower. nice outside terrace with garden table and chairs. Very quiet but also only a short walk to the beach and very close to a pub. Everything was perfect and we’ll definitely return.

Very clean hotel and in a nice quiet location. Not a large hotel which suited us. Room plenty big enough and good size ensuite with shower and bath water is also softened which is a bonus in a very hard water area Owner very informative if you are new to the area and need some help advice on where to eat and visit. Beach is 200 yds away and getting to either Poole or Bournemouth max ten minutes by car. Bust stop outside. Breakfast is continental with plenty of choice which suited me and the wife. I have been coming to the Bournemouth area for 40 years now and wish I had found this hotel earlier. Ticks all the boxes.no tired looking carpets and poor fixtures here. Ample free car parking Will be booking this hotel next time we visit

Check in was good. Chris is a good host and explained everything about the hotel, breakfast, room and local area. It is a traditional guest house (not chain hotel) and is quaint. The breakfast is continental but very healthy. Lots of fruit, pastries, cereals, yoghurts. The only hot food is toast or muffins but that is fine. I was very full at the end of it! Room is traditional guest house but size of room was great with two comfy beds. Bathroom was good with good selection of soap, shower gel and shampoo/conditioner. Shower was powerful. Generally very pleased. Hotel mid-way between Bournemouth Beach and Ferry to Sandbanks and on a quiet road with bus stops opposite hotel. Very easy to get to beach and promenade and easy walk to Bournemouth (25 minutes).

We stayed in 2019 and were happy to repeat the experience in 2023. Unfortunately we did not read the details too closely because we already knew the hotel, and missed the fact that there was no cooked breakfast because of the Great Egg Crisis. But no matter, the alternative was perfectly satisfactory, filling and with plenty of cold choice. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower over the bath is not desperately convenient. Plenty of parking on site. The location is handy for the Inn In The Park pub-with-meals and a stroll down Branksome Dene Chine. The building itself has an elegance of yesteryear.

Apart from the minor caveats above, nothing.

Loved the period nature of the building. It was like walking straight into an Edwardian grand house of 1910, which is always a bonus for me. Some have said it felt dated but what do you expect from a period house with most of the original features intact? Friendly welcome and a breakfast with a smile from the girls. Large car park and on a quiet street. Huge, super comfy bed.

I didn't realise that it was continental breakfast only. It wouldn't put me off staying again but some might find it odd.

Loss of hot cooked breakfast disappointing (although continental buffet was OK). I understand the problems with staffing but a hot cooked breakfast is part of staying at a good hotel. It used to be so good here. Please try and bring it back.

curtain was not black out so when the sun shines it wakes you up early. the window is not double glazed so you can hear a bit of noise. breakfast could be improved, should serve later than 9:30. Should offer English breakfast

A warm and friendly welcome upon our arrival. Continental breakfast catered for every taste which included toast, crumpets and hot porridge. Good selection of cold meats and cheese slices. Also available Blackcurrants, Strawberries and Raspberries. The cleanliness of our room was spotless as was other communal areas of the property. Generally a lovely place to stay with it’s tasteful decor in an ideal location not far from the sea.

Cooked breakfast was not an option.

Room was clean, host was super friendly and informative, awesome WiFi, good location and a really lovely visit. I would come back to stay here again without doubt. Really flexible regarding later check out for a reasonable fee. Definitely stay here if you’re in the area :)

Only complaint was the bathroom window was left open prior so on arrival lots of mozzies were in bathroom which wasn’t ideal. Other than that everything was perfect.

Absolutely fantastic room with en-suite. Nice comfy beds and plump pillows, well furnished with wardrobes and drawers/dresser. Very close to transport links, the beach and a short drive to the main town centre of Bournemouth.

Not a huge variety of food but better than nothing. Breakfast was mainly a selection of cold food, toast, muffin was offered but a full hot cooked breakfast would have been ideal. It was still good for what it was.
