The double beds were small but extremely comfortable (we had 3 people in the room and 2 doubles). We slept very well. Room was spacious and the design was nice. There was a party or wedding going on that was quite audible from carpark but we couldn't hear it at all from our room. Good facilities and nice toiletries. Shower was good but not exceptional.

A lot of dust behind the nightstand. Cleanliness standard would not have passed muster on Four in a Bed. We expected more from Marriott in that regard. One small miscommunication - front desk told us that my sister (who was not a guest but lives locally) could buy a day pass to the leisure centre to join me. Leisure centre desk told us that this is actually not possible and it's only hotel guests allowed. Spa desk said you can buy a £25 day pass IF you book a massage. Not clear communication between the 3 desks.

Swimming pool and changing rooms clean and smart. Very enjoyable to use Room was very comfortable Breakfast organisation, choice and standard of food is excellent

We have stayed before in room for 4, but were only given enough provisions for 2. On booking this time, we made a specific request to ensure we were given enough provisions for 4, but arrived to a room with provisions for 2! Staff friendly and were happy to rectify this. only a couple of teabags and coffee satchets which doesn't seem very generous, although again, staff would provide more if asked. We thought food in restaurant was nice, but very small portions and therefore overpriced.

Breakfast was amazing well worth the money. My partner still can't get over how good his steak was he had for evening meal, and keeps wanting to travel 2 hours to have it again. One of the reasons we will be back. Beds/pillows so comfy. Rooms are good size with good amenities. Son loved that there were ice machines and water dispensers on the different floors, he felt very grown up going to get drinks. We had gone for my son's birthday, we mentioned at reception that it was the purpose of our stay, and 5 mins into checking into the room the receptionist came up with a bag of chocolates and a happy birthday note. Great service ❤️

The pool was dirty, as if lots of people had been In wearing oil or moisturiser, and wasn't very warm.

The property was beautiful and clean. The grounds were lovely and well looked after. The leisure facilities were fab! All the staff were brilliant and helpful and the food was absolutely amazing! Breakfast was a buffet style breakfast and was absolutely one of the best we’ve had in a long time! The scrambled eggs were perfect! And if having dinner can 100% recommend the sea bass! Absolutely outstanding!

There was nothing about the property I could fault! Only slight annoyance, which was nothing to do with the hotel itself, was one of the nights someone pulled up outside the front doors of the hotel in a Porsche, it was after midnight and they were revving their car for a while outside. If staying near the front of the property maybe close the windows at night as we had ours open meaning we could hear it quite loudly in our room waking us up.

The hotel was excellent, clean, comfortable, and spacious. Breakfast was delicious 😋 Staff extremely friendly thank you for a wonderful stay.

Our room wasn't the room we booked online. We booked with booking.com which stated we had ordered a Large King Suite when we arrived it was a junior suite. When I questioned this at reception, they informed me that because we booked via booking.com the rooms vary. We weren't impressed. The room was lovely however not what we were expecting and paid for. Reception did not offer the option to move us either.

Breakfast was excellent, no queuing, nice hot food good selection. Room was lovely everything clean and fresh, only thing that was the view was looking at a bush which made room very dark, but not a problem for me as only there in evenings. The bed was SO comfortable I didn’t want to get out of it !!!

Only thing maybe was that a maintenance man was outside more door working on carpet stain with loud machine and did have do not disturb sign on my door, but it was after 9am, so totally understand these jobs need doing but perhaps he could have waited till my do not disturb sign had gone! But really wasn’t a problem for me, but maybe for someone who was trying to sleep ?

Everthing was clean, tidy & comfortable. Breakfast was really lovely. Location was great too - bus stop just outside to get into Preston & back for the Radio 2 in the Park event. Reception & breakfast staff were very polite, friendly & helpful, particularly when organising gluten free options for breakfast. Admittedly our stay was enhanced by the presence of some of Radio 2's finest & there was a lovely buzz about the place.

Bar was very busy on Saturday night & it took a long time to get served. The two bar staff on duty did their best, but really needed support to collect & clean glasses as they were running short.

Check in was excellent.The suite was amazing for size.The bed was very comfortable.The bathroom had a very good none slip mat(build in) along with toiletries.Tea and coffee great and nice to have a fridge as we took extra milk. The breakfast was excellent and 5* for the scrambled eggs.We had meal in the bar and that was also excellent.Checkout was excellent and yes I would recommend this hotel.

The floor boards were a bit squeaky but then we had no rooms below us and you would expect that from an older,lovely building.Dressing gowns would have been nice.

Lovely building set in beautiful gardens. My wife spent the day in the spa and I used the gym. We had a free upgrade after a said it was my wife’s birthday and the room was lovely. Every member of staff was lovely. I feel like good customer service is hard to find but staying at the Marriott proved me wrong. The service was excellent. Ellie on reception was great.

Nothing. The only thing I’d suggest looking at is the website. It isn’t clear you do food other than breakfast and light snacks in the bar so we booked a meal elsewhere.

I've visited this hotel many times over the past ten years and I have never seen it in better condition than this trip. The rooms have been extensively redecorated and the public areas (except the restaurant) too. A special mention for the gardens which were impeccable.

The quality of the breakfast buffet has been a victim of shrinkflation. Previously, one of my main reasons for choosing this hotel, the quality has dropped. Tasteless sausages, flabby fried eggs and a non-descript black pudding slice, when before these items were super-tasty before. The coffee service has now been replaced by a self-service espresso robot, which actually makes delicious coffee.
