It’s been spruced up and looks and feels very modern. Prompt and courteous service on check in. Our breakfast service was exceptional as was the breakfast itself

The property was very well signposted, good car parking facilities and check in from 2pm is nice. Greeted by a lovely lady, who checked us in and gave us our keys. Our room was on the first floor with 1 flight of stairs, couldn’t see a lift but we didn’t need it anyway. Room was nicely decorated with en suite bathroom, lovely shower. The bed was very comfortable and we both had a very good sleep and was a big enough bed ( we aren’t tiny people!) The room had a decent size tv on the wall facing the bed, a double wardrobe, desk with room to get ready and tea and coffee facilities. I did really like that it had a floor length mirror! Breakfast on a weekday is from 7am to 9am and has a varied selection of cereals and juices however, the full English is very small, looked like it had been under the lights in the kitchen for a while and didn’t leave slot to the imagination.

Unfortunately we did not really like the £50 deposit, we have never experienced this before and we where a little dubious, it came to us checking out and the deposit was charged back to my husbands card that it was paid from, however, we were informed it would take 24 hours and 48 hours later it still had t been refunded, it took a call and another wait of nearly 24 hours for the £50 to be refunded back into the card.

Check in was quick, pleasant clean room. Everything we needed for our stay, even toiletries, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was good, great service & friendly staff. We would stay again.

Only minor things, could have done with blackout curtains given that it is summer. There was also a bright light near the door, not sure what it controlled, but it was a very bright light, even when all in darkness. I’m afraid I do like total darkness, so personal opinion. Also could have benefited from a fan, but as I said, minor suggestions!

I have visited the Claremont on many occasions and every time my stay has been second to none. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the facilities are everything you need and the breakfast is lovely, well cooked, cooked to order and more than great value for the price of the stay. The Claremont is well situated for easy transport routes and there are local shops nearby. What makes The Claremont special though, are the amazing people who work there. They give an extremely warm welcome to everyone who walks through the door, nothing is too much trouble and they make everyone feel like family.

From the moment we was greeted at the door the service was amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was beautiful, very well equipped, beautifully fitted and design of the room and plenty space. I honestly can't fault this hotel. Plenty of choice for breakfast in the morning including a cooked breakfast. Served efficiently. I would highly recommend for anyone who needs to stay in Preston or nearby. Easy to find and plenty parking spaces. Whole hotel was very clean. Nice touch that the tv was a smart tv and had access to Netflix and you tube and other streaming services.

I can't find a single fault.

I was pleasantly surprised by this little place to be honest. The room (33) was clean and comfy and well stocked with tea and coffee (though we would have liked some hand towels and sweetener), the bed was super comfy and the noise from the road wasn't too bad. The breakfast (vegetarian full english) was really nice, I saw another review saying they didn't offer vegetarian full English so I was really pleased to see they took that on board and started to offer it.

The lack of hand towels, the bar closed relatively early, and the water glasses left in the room were tiny. I think we'd have liked a pitcher of water too, but I'm sure had we been in earlier in the day one may have been brought to us. The car park was a bit higgledy piggledy but at least there's parking on-site, and the uneven steps from the car park to the hotel aren't very accessible friendly.

The room was nice and comfortable. Lovely walk-in shower. Most of the staff were friendly and courteous. The breakfast was good. Several choices of cereal, fully cooked breakfast or just the bits you want, a bit of fresh fruit.

Bear in mind we stayed 5 nights. A change in breakfast choices would have been nice. More fresh fruit and plain yoghurt would be good. The cleaners should be asked to clean marks and handprints from the walls and doors, particularly in the ensuite. They change the towels every day and don't offer for you to put them on the floor if you want them changed.

The minimum standard was very high like you see in most franchise style rooms. Cleanliness was perfect, modern and welcoming. They also had those extra touches of personal competence that comes from a privately run very nice b&b. A free breakfast even with gluten free options, a small bar and social areas, friendly staff that make you feel like a visitor rather than one of a faceless horde of travellers. All of this with a price that makes you worry it's too cheap and fantastic road access that makes it easy to find.

The walls between rooms weren't soundproof, but they did mute it ok. That's not even bad, just on par with expectations, everything else was great.

Overall the one-night stay at The Claremont was excellent. With no problems. Check-in was welcoming and friendly and the room was spacious and comfortable. I had a twin room - Room 1. Deciding on the Claremont was a very good choice. Within short walking distance to Pedders Lane and the 100 Bus stop into the centre of Preston. I was on foot and had arrived at Preston Railway Station so to get to the B&B was no problem. The 100 Bus is on Fishergate by the entrance. Used a £5 Day ticket to get around. The night spent at The Claremont was totally peaceful. And the full English breakfast was the perfect start to the day which is provided at no extra charge. I enjoyed my stay and when in Preston again I will use The Claremont for a second visit. Thanks for a great stay.

Went down with friends to pick up a motorbike nearby. Just wanted something cheap for a night. We'll we certainly got that.great price, breakfast included what we didn't expect was a really great wee hotel. Staff are amazing, place is spotless. It is modern inside great en suite toilet with fab shower. The bed is so comfortable with 4 comfortable pillows. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful . The hotel is located a short walk from some decent places to eat. Was in my room chilling for 7pm as I couldn't resist. What a great find.

Everything was good and great parking.
