Fabulous room, huge bathroom with his and hers basin, scrumptious breakfasts and Rupert could not have been a more responsive and welcoming host. He provided a lot of recommendations and where to eat. We went to the monthly market in Sherborne which was the main purpose of our visit. We were not disappointed. Overall, a great short stay and would highly recommend this accommodation where you will be warmly greeted by Rupert and Nutmeg.

What a wonderful gem we have found. Gorgeous spacious room, and bathroom. Love the Victorian style bath. Bed so comfy had the best night's sleep. Very quiet. Rupert and Camilla were super friendly and helpful. Perfect hosts. The breakfast was delicious. Incredible value for money. We have stayed in ,5 star hotels that don't match this standard. We will definitely return. And definitely recommend.

Quite difficult to get a taxi from the property in the evening. Good tip is to book well in advance.

The greeting and welcome. Rupert the host was so effusive in his welcome and attentive to all our needs. He welcomed us with refreshments in his delightful garden which we had the use of to relax in during our stay. A good variety of choice for the morning breakfast out on the terrace, one of our better stays well done Rupert and Camilla. We had the red room which was spacious with a good sized en-suite. There was a short period of noise with the rush hour traffic which soon abated. The room was totally quiet during the night, with no sound of traffic helped by the two foot thick walls.

Great welcome with immediate teas and biscuits. Much appreciated after a long drive! The bedroom room was huge and so comfortable. Rupert was able to guide us on restaurants in the area which was very useful. Service for the room was great and Rupert even brought us additional fresh milk for teas. Breakfast was superb and plentiful

there is a bit of traffic noise in the room which we didn't;t think about as we were in the countryside, so we should have brought some earplugs

Very spacious room and incredibly comfortable bed. Rupert was a really wonderful, friendly & helpful host and the breakfast was amazing. Great free & secure off street parking. Outstanding value for money.

The address was very difficult and confusing to find on Google maps and would not recommend trying to find it after dark off a dangerous busy main road. Probably further than we expected out of Sherborne. Floors and shower needed a jolly good scrubbing but we were too tired to care.

This is a real gem. Lovely property with a fantastic garden and parking. The host really looked after us, great breakfast outside, even a blanket for our legs to sit outside in the evening sun. The room was big, clean, and very light with a comfortable bed and a massive en-suite. Not forgetting 'Nutmeg' the resident dog, such a character. We loved it and will return.

Huge size bedroom and separate bathroom, they accommodated our early check in and had the room ready early so we could get to a wedding venue by 1.0pm. The accommodation was very spacious and to a high standard for the price paid. The large and varied breakfast was excellent and supplied freshly cooked, the conservatory breakfast room with the large garden views in the following morning sunlight was a bonus

We were with a person with poor mobility so it was good to have a virtually step free acess to one room with a ground floor ensuite which was a good size. This type of accommodation in this area is not easy to find! Very nicely decorated spacious rooms. Good parking. Lovely breakfast and very kind hosts. Helpful and friendly but not intrusive. Overall it was exactly what we needed .

this place is gorgeous. The curb appeal of stonework and arched windows welcomes all. Inside, the artwork and Turkish carpets combine to create a beautifully warm environment. The room and bathroom are as comfortable as the pictures look. The cheery and bright breakfast room off their huge country kitchen looks out onto a large garden. Off to the left sits a thatched roofed, South African-styled cabana large enough to seat eight. At the end of September, the host shared fruit from the fig and apple trees in the yard. be fair and don’t expect this from him in March! This is a homey, loving, peaceful, idyllic joy of a place to stay.

A unique country house in a pretty location. The owners were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. As a solo traveller I was made very welcome. All facilities were available. Large and comfortable room to stay in.

If you have issues with stairs, it is on different levels, but I found it ok. There are ground floor bedrooms but breakfast is up stairs.
