We loved everything about this hotel, the owner was very hands on and so friendly, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast was really good and had a nice selection ion the menu, we had dinner one evening which like breakfast wasOur room was over looking the high street which was great and the bed was really comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better.
The parking is shocking but we did find out you can park free in one of the roads off the high street. The car parks are near but not free, also if you have a blue badge it's easier as I found out. Of course this isn’t the Hotel fault

The hotel was located right in the centre of Sherborne, ideal for shops and restaurants. We only had breakfast in the hotel but that was of good quality and plentiful. Coffees/teas were replenished as required at no extra cost. The dining room was clean and comfortable with friendly staff. The owner (Mo) was great and happy to spend time recommending places to go and things to see in the vicinity.
As a small town centre hotel this had everything we needed for a weekend away. We have stayed in other facilities in the centre of Sherborne, but this is the best to date.

We had an incredible stay at the Cross Keys. Mo and his team hosted my Father's funeral wake at the Cross Keys, and we stayed in their family suite for the night. The whole experience was incredible - made so special by Mo, Lucy, David and the girls. Our room was superb, with the biggest bed I've ever slept in, and beautiful views out onto the market square and the Conduit. I can thoroughly recommend a stay at the Cross Keys - the service is exceptional, the rooms amazing, and the breakfast was superb. We also had our evening meal in the restaurant, and it was superb.
There was nothing I didn't like - we will definitely be coming back.

Spacious room at front hotel on the first floor. Very light room overlooking square to front hotel. Comfortable bed, good sized tv with range channels nice range coffee and tea, jug water provided together with fresh milk, crisps, apples, biscuits. 2 small armchairs provided. Really good shower . Hotel located on the high street, close restaurants shops and abbey. Excellent breakfast provided continental or variety cooked options .good range evening meals in the pub.
Would be noisy if people sitting outside the pub late at night, 4 foam pillows provided, would prefer 2 to be feather filled. Parking on high street or close by in car park short walk away

Our second visit to the Cross Keys. Brilliant again. We stayed in the slightly larger of the 2 rooms, both looking over the small square. Room 2 is very well appointed with everything you need. Spotlessly clean as well. Staff are delightful, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is excellent as is all their food. Highly recommended.
Not much to say here really. Just be aware that Sherborne is largely closed on a Sunday night. The Cross Keys closes quite early and on Sunday we only found one pub open in Sherborne after 8pm. Nothing to complain about the room, the staff or the Cross Keys at all. Highly recommended.

Excellent cooked breakfast - best toast we've ever had! Breakfast service also very good.
Knowing we would arrive very late (close to 10pm) we called ahead at 7pm to explain we had had a difficult journey and ask if we could have something cold sent up to our room on arrival . We had a flat" No" .This seemed lacking in understanding in the circumstances.( Sadly we weren't told there was in fact a great supply of teas and coffee with real milk as well as apples and crisps which would have eased the situation) The phone conversation and the lack of a simple sandwich as a special arrangement was very disappointing when we were both tired and hungry. We felt good customer service here was lacking and could be improved.

Beautifully refurbished property. Owner and staff all very helpful and friendly. Huge choice at breakfast and very well cooked. Right in middle of Sherborne with immediate access to shops and Abbey and walking distance to castles. Bedroom was beautifully decorated and furnished. Superb variety on tea tray in room. Be aware though that parking is in the public car park a few minutes walk away, as the hotel does not have its own car park. However it’s not expensive and is easy to find.

Hannah and Mo made us feel welcome immediately we stepped in the door even though they were very busy with service. Our room was tastefully furnished with small thoughtful gestures and immaculately clean. The meals we took at Cross Keys were delightful and we knew that if there were any problems in any way hat they would have been addressed immediately. Parking wasn't an issue as Culverhayes Car Park is only a few minutes walk from The Cross Keys. We will definitely return.
Everything was good for us.

On first morning we didn't realise that more than one item could be selected from the menu. Small bowl of granola disappointing. Bacon, sausage egg good quality well-cooked. Following morning granola for starters. Too much bread with scrambled eggs and similar with focaccia option. Quality very good. The room was in an excellent position overlooking the square but noisy late at night/early morning as people left the nearby cocktail bar. Noise again as stallholders set-up their stalls on Saturday morning..a bit like scaffolders on a building site
More than a splash of toffee sauce needed with the sticky toffee pudding.

Fantastic location in lovely Sherborne. Cooked breakfast was excellent. Granola was less good, croissant average, but fruit juices were very good. Selection of tea, coffee and complementary snacks in the room was excellent. Fantastic to have a fridge with water and milk. Room was large and very comfortable with very good shower room. Staff all very friendly and helpful, happy to store luggage upon request.
The room was very nicely decorated, but needs a new carpet and a lick of paint. Cleanliness would have been better if there were fewer ornamental contents to be dusted. Overall I was still very happy with the room.
