Wendy and Paul are super hosts at The Saxby. We stayed for one night. Parking was on the premises with lots of space which is good. The hotel is lovely and very clean. Wendy and Paul work extremely hard to maintain their standards. Our room was number one and overlooked the street which is really quiet. We had a lovely big shower in the bathroom. Lovely white towels. There is a fridge in the room with water and milk. Tea and coffee with biscuits. Breakfast was absolutely amazing with such a lot of choice. Cereals,fruit, yoghurt, croissants, pancakes, fruit juice,tea or coffee and a Full English which was beautifully cooked and piping hot. We will certainly stay again. Absolutely fabulous!

Paul and Wendy made our stay great both where welcoming and generous with their time, Breakfast was amazing everything you could wish for. The room we had was large, comfortable and clean complete with tea and coffee plus a fridge with bottled water, Car parking was available on the premises and on the road. From the hotel to the clock tower, shops, eateries, arcades and beach was approximately a 5 minute walk away. My wife and I would not hesitate to return to the hotel again and again.

Lovely well looked after accommodation in a great location for the local amenities. Our host Wendy was extremely helpful sending text's to us letting us know when our room was ready and checking on our time of arrival so she could greet us. The hotel was spotless and our room had everything you could possibly need for your stay. The breakfast was fantastic with a superb choice for any food and drinks to cover all needs. I would definitely recommend this hotel, lovely place run by Lovely people.

We had a warm welcome from owner Wendy and given room 14 described as a family room. It was on the second floor. It was a bedroom with another adjacent bedroom with a separate bathroom. The bedroom was quite spacious, clean with sufficient storage space. The bathroom was clean, bath/shower combined but by request, we were unable to use the bath. The bed was double size & comfortable. We had been asked on arrival our breakfast preferences & in the morning, there was a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, fruit juice. We had requested English breakfasts which were excellent. With tea & toast to follow it was a very satisfying start to the day. Will try and stay again & would recommend.

The room only had 2 available power points & with modern technology, phones, etc, extra would be useful. Use of the bath would have been preferred. Car parking for only 6 cars.

The warmest of welcomes was extended to us by Wendy and Paul from the moment we stepped through the door, exceptionally accommodating, kind, friendly, informative, courteous and professional. Just such fantastic hosts with a great knowledge of the local area and interested without being intrusive about our time in Skegness. Our room was spotlessly clean and so comfortable with everything we needed. The housemaid was always so polite and friendly. There is a lovely bright and airy entrance with comfy sofas, and a lovely comfortable lounge to relax in too. Breakfast is to die for with an array of fruits, cereals, yogurts, croissants, cheeses and a delicious full English breakfast. Conveniently located with free parking for easy access into the town centre, everywhere was walkable for us. We spoke to a couple who were staying on their fourth visit, we were not surprised, we would not stay anywhere else when we visit Skegness. So lucky to have found The Saxby Hotel. Thank you Wendy and Paul for making our trip to Skegness such a lovely, memorable one.

Everything was just fine. Room was comfortable & tidy. Didn't have a breakfast, so can't comment on that. Paul & Wendy met me at the door to welcome me. Perfect.

Mmmmm. What spoilt it for me, slightly, were the ''noisy'' guests in the room above me(I was in Room 1.don't know the number of the room above me).Bad luck I suppose. I felt I may have have been given fresh tea, milk, coffee, etc on the morning of my departure. It didn't happen.Technically, I didn't have to leave until 10:00am,so I think this should have happened. There was an incident with another guest & loud music, I think, which Paul & Wendy will remember this. I wasn't aware of this until they told me when I returned having been out. Wouldn't say I didn't like, more of I didn't know about the Wi-Fi till Saturday morning. Details to connect tricky to read. Need to make it more legible.

I enjoyed my stay at the Saxby because you are free to do what you want to. I like the room only option, I don't have to get up for breakfast. The proprietor doesn't go into your room during your stay, but have an excellent way of replenishing the tea and coffee etc.

There's nothing really that I think could be changed, perhaps the entrance at the front door could be more accessible for getting disabled walking frame through.

This was a work trip - a great hotel, very clean & good quality. Rooms are very comfortable & clean, with a good breakfast. The owners & staff are very welcoming and friendly - nothing is too much trouble for them. They look after this hotel so well, it's a lovely building and you can tell it's cared for. Free parking on site is a bonus, but there is also free street parking to the front - which is great in a residential area in a seaside resort. We have stayed here many times, and will continue to book when we come back.

Paul and Wendy were the most lovely of hosts so welcoming. The hotel was spotless, our room was comfortable and had everything you needed for a pleasant stay. Lots of selection at breakfast too. The location was spot on. I had a problem with my car on the day of departure Paul and Wendy made us both comfortable even offering a room for the night if we couldn’t get home. We would both highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again.

The help which our host gave while booking and the prompt response to queries was impressive. On arrival the welcome we received was truly warm and reassuring. The whole building is tastefully decorated fresh and clean. We both enjoyed the continental breakfast with wide variety of fresh fruit and pastries as well as cereal and yoghurts. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, the hosts and facilities to those considering a superior value for money venue for a break in the area.
