Preye was the making of the visit, her support to settle and efficiency was second to none, definitely made our stay memorable.

The property had good access and parking and is close to any amenities you may require. The Rooms are clean specious, well stocked with teas and coffees, clean towels and bedding, good hot water, warm, cosy and private. Good access to WiFi and a Tv. Overall good value for money. I visited on a day the chef was not onsite but had paid for the breakfast so cannot comment on that , but the guest house made excellent provision for us by providing a token that granted us a good alternative at a local Wetherspoons. The only improvement I would make is the lighting on the path to and in the car park. We will definitely be returning.

From start to the end, the staff couldn't do enough, we was late for breakfast this morning as wanted a lie in, instead and still the girl was offering us hot drinks and food was literally so so kind, so glad I came across this manor house. Super cute, more than enough for a family of 4 and the bed was so comfortable wanted to take it home with me. Breakfast yesterday was so yum, we came to visit Alton towers and was perfect distance 15mins from the park, the manor house is 2mins away from Asda so stocked up for food for the theme park. Highly recommend and will be back. Thank you once again

Absolutely nothing. Had such a wonderful time these past couple of nights thank you all so much.

The Guest House is in a perfect location 10-15 minutes away from Alton Towers resort we were staying at the CBeebies the following night so decided to travel down the night before. Check in was effortlessly executed with excellent communication leading up to our trip including specific google maps directions to the car park at the property as there is a one way system in place at the location. Our host Agnes met us first thing on the morning and made us feel welcome accommodating our various breakfast needs a very family friendly atmosphere even looking after our rowdy two year old. There is a beautiful ornamental Carp Pond on the grounds too. The garden area was beautiful in mid February I can only imagine how good it would be in the summer. There are plenty of amenities within a 5 minute walk too. We will definitely be staying again!

Nothing at all

Nice room and we had a free upgrade as another guest had cancelled. Room was everything you'd expect, bed, kettle, shower... All a good standard, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. On Saturdays you are given a voucher for the spoons down the road which was also lovely. Staff are very friendly and more than helpful. Would stay again.

Few small tidy ups such as removing dripped paint on radiator/floor in bathroom, run a new silicone bead around bathroom areas and so on.

The two ladies front of house were just superb. I travel solo a lot for work and despite doing it for a number of years now, i still get a bit apprehensive being so far away from home on my own. The moment i arrived i just felt at home with no anxiety the ladies were just so kind and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if im ever in that neck of the woods.

It was a little confusing to find the main carpark on maps but again the lady front of house gave clear instructions and was no problem

We booked this hotel which was quite close to the venue for my sister's wedding. The room was very spacious with a double bed and single bed which was extremely comfortable. Agnes the host was incredible, what a woman who turned her hand to everything and worked really hard. It had snowed quite a bit the night before and she was up clearing the snow first thing in the morning. This was in addition to make sure that everyone was happy and comfortable and enjoying their breakfast in the morning. She just continued to go the extra mile (you will know what we mean Agnes) and nothing was too much trouble. It is a pleasure to experience such great customer service in this day and age. We would recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning - thank you :)

Can't think of a single thing

The room was a good size and kept spotlessly clean by housekeeping staff and breakfast was excellent with a good selection to choose from. Agnes was an absolute star! She was very welcoming, made sure she spoke to all her guests and nothing was too much trouble for her to ensure everyone enjoyed their stay. Lovely garden, easy walking distance to shops, what's not to like!

The en-suite light was on a timer and it annoyed me that I couldn't switch it off when I'd only been in there for a couple of minutes although there was plenty of time to have a shower etc. Apart from that there was nothing I didn't like.

The property was in a lovely spot. The staff went above and beyond to offer me a lovely room and were so friendly and welcoming. The room was very clean and tidy. The room was warm, cosy and extremely comfortable. Plenty of provisions for tea and coffee. Even lots of yummy biscuits to dip in my tea. I can’t recommend this Guest house enough. It was a last minute booking for me and I was not disappointed. Will definitely be looking at a return visit in future.

There was nothing not to like about this property.

The location was fabulous for Alton towers (15min drive away) and there is a large off-road car park. We arranged a late check-in and this was easy and well-communicated. The room was large enough and there were great tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast was particularly good - everything cooked well, pancakes and Nutella, excellent bacon etc - something for every member of the family.

The ensuite had clearly had a new light fitted and the brick dust was still in the bathroom - but rest of the room was very clean. The bathroom has an automatic light / fan that is triggered by movement - however there was no sign to tell you and we spent a while trying to find the switch! It took almost 5 mins for the light/fan to turn off once we closed the door which seemed forever as it was late at night and the light was visible under the bathroom door and we weren’t certain it was automatic - however got there in the end!!

Friendly and helpful staff We liked everything. The rooms were clean and the beds really comfy. Noise separation between rooms was also good, which is always important. If we were to suggest any refinements we would say that the breakfast time should be a little longer, say 8-10, and check out at 11, and maybe consider arrangement of buffet (separate toast/cereal station) so that queueing could be minimised. But not a big deal to us, we enjoyed our stay, thanks!
