Wonderful inn in small village in southern Cotswolds. Room was modern, big, comfortable, clean. Terrific old part of the inn had great pub/restaurant. Hot breakfast was very good. Some nice walking trails just outside the door. Most of all the very friendly staff made the stay very enjoyable.

Not much to complain about. Since the town is so remote a mini-fridge would've been nice. Didn't need it but don't think there was air conditioning in the room, I'd imagine it gets pretty hot in the summer. Location (which I loved, I like peaceful little villages) made a decent drive necessary to get to all the sights of the Cotswolds.

Nearly everything was excellent. The decor of the rooms is lovely and the beds are very comfortable, nice to have a bath as well as a shower in the room too. Varied pub menu, and brilliant that many dishes can be ordered in children's portions for those who don't have a big appetite. Lovely cooked breakfast with a well made mocha. Pub is in a fab, tranquil location, and nice to be able to eat outdoors. Looking forward to another stay in the future.

Just a few small things: * A pint of beer at £6.30 seems excessive * The only thing that lets the room decor down is the cheap, chipboard type room doors which are completely out of place with everything else. * TV reception sometimes ropey for iPlayer. * On check out, the staff member nearly charged me a second time for one of the rooms I had already paid for until I challenged her.

Comfy spacious room Very nice bathroom and digital shower Plenty of coffee milk sugar

The room was light and fantastic to view when we walked in. The pub food was great however the wait for the food was well over an hr after we ordered it so sadly lost a couple points as we were really hungry and was told a wait but not too long … but over an hr was rather disappointed and just left a a bowl of crisps when really a reduction should of sufficed. The fish stew fortunately was well worth the wait and it was the best I’ve ever tasted … so compliments to the chef who obviously was hammered by the amount of people arriving on a very hot evening..

Beautiful location close to everything. We booked another place further north for the rest of our trip and my son said “we should have just stayed at The Crown!” Nice mix of old stone pub and modern renovation of guest rooms. Modern bath, updated electrical with no need for converters, comfortable beds . The breakfast is served in a lovely room good food and great service. The pub/restaurant on site has stone walls, big fireplaces, antique furniture, oriental rugs and allows well behaved dogs. Food is very good. Staff is great. Also a nice big outdoor patio with a stunning view. Would highly recommend

That we left and went somewhere else!

The Crown inn is a nice combination of pub, restaurant and hotel. We stayed for three night and had a great stay. Rooms are clean and beds very comfortable. Maybe a bit short for people over 6'5" but I managed. Restaurant was superb with a good selection. Pub is good too with good selection of local beers on tap. We loved the quiet location in a very small village. Both Cirencester and Stroud are close by. Would definitely stay here again.

Beds a bit short for long people but had a good sleep nevertheless.

It was a very pleasant stay everything met my expectations or exceeded them, the staff where very welcoming, breakfast and dinner where both great, the room was fantastic, it was very cold when I came to stay (British weather, it cant be helped) but I never felt cold in my room, you had everything that you needed, it was a great stay, couldn't fault really.

A great stay overall, the room was excellent, dinner was equally excellent, although the pub could get busy, it didn't really bother me though, as to me it shows the signs of a good pub/atmosphere. And your sleeping accommodation was in a separate building away from the pub, which was also great, you couldn't hear a thing. It gives you options which is all you want on holiday.

The property is located in a beautiful location, perfect to explore the Cotswolds. The rooms are good sized and clean. Breakfast was very good and the staff was nice and friendly.

The cistern in our room took a long time to fill, meaning if the toilet had to be used consecutively, you had to leave your business there for a good 15-20 mins before you could flush it away. This is completely my personal preference, but I would have loved to have hash browns on my English breakfast and some pub classics on the pub's menu.

Friendly staff. Lots of free parking. Good proximity to Stroud and Cirencester. 45 min from Bourton-on-the-Water. Gluten free breakfast. Latte. Sunday dinner available in the evening and gluten free gravy with it. Very comfortable mattress. Room radiators and towel rail were off on arrival, but when switched on, room and towels heated quickly.

The pillow was a bit too bulky. A thinner one would be appreciated. I don't like cushions being put on the pillows as I don't think they're washed between every guest. I would have liked fruit salad and natural yoghurt for breakfast and gluten free sausages or hash browns. The tea was a bit weak. Co-op fair trade is stronger than Clipper. The gluten free fruit crumble was very dry. The crumble was like dust and made me choke. The fruit in the crumble was not chopped up.

Room was lovely with very comfy beds. Had everything we needed - TV, tea/coffee, chair, hairdryer etc. The pub was in a beautiful village. Not much within walking distance but a perfect place to stay after visiting Highgrove. Ideally you do need a car though

Full English breakfast was good, but not the best I've had. The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor a little. The chairs in the breakfast room were particularly uncomfortable. Having said all that, I would definitely stay there again!
