I loved staying at the Lansdowne so much. Not only is the town it is located in so picturesque, Corinne was just a delight! I loved the location and that you can just go on a quick 5 minute walk into the main part of town. The breakfast was superb, too. My only things to note: there is no lift and the stairs are quick small so please know large luggage may be hard to carry up. Also, it is quite noisy next to the fire door on the first floor in the early morning and late night. This is not the guest house’s fault, more the guest slamming the door. That being said, this is such a great place to stay. I would definitely come back.

The location was perfect, parking was great, room was really lovely and the shower had great pressure. Lovely to have bottled water in the room, lots of choice for breakfast, all the staff were so friendly - we really enjoyed our stay. There's also a pub next door with lovely owners that's super convenient when staying here!

Sadly on our final morning there was a power cut so we didn't get our breakfast which was a shame. There was a really creaky floorboard in the room above us which meant we were woken up early if the people in that room were moving around. Also we'd recommend putting the tv on a moveable bracket so it could be turned :) but generally we were very happy and would highly recommend a stay in this lovely hotel I'm gorgeous Bourton on the Water!

Beautiful property where the owners have created a really homely and thoughtful space. Everywhere was spotless and the little extras were so well considered. Very warm, welcoming and friendly staff. I enjoyed a very high standard of breakfast and the hot food was freshly cooked and a nice hot temperature. Excellent location tucked away from the main centre. I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful place to stay. Can’t wait to visit again.

The only thing that disrupted a restful evening and sleep was the banging of the fire doors on the bedrooms. The doors are heavy fire doors (beautiful style and look) however the dampeners aren’t set to provide a soft close. I was unfortunate to be near a guest who was in and out all evening and just let their door bang. nouse cancelling headphones helped the next evening. BUT it didn’t spoil my stay as the bed and breakfast was delightful.

I LOVED the location! The bathroom and room were immaculate yet small but it’s just me, so I didn’t require more. I loved that I could go anywhere in minutes by foot from the Guesthouse. So convenient! I booked a hire bicycle for the day while was there from Hartwells Cotswold Cycle Hire & Hartwells Ironmongers. Highly recommend! I was able to pedal to 6 different Cotswold’s villages in one day. My room was quiet, comfortable and all the switches worked great and the shower was quite hot. Breakie was huge, with lots of options and DELICIOUS! It was so big that I could skip lunch and splurge on a big dinner. The service was fantastic and as I was only there two short nights, I very much enjoyed my stay. They arranged a taxi for me the day of my departure, and even Bobby the driver, was wonderful! Thank you for a delightful stay!

My room, after a 24 hr journey, was difficult to find as it was on Floor 2 although Europe calls it floor 1, I eventually found it.

It's a very cosy house Although we arrived at 10pm and didn't notice that check-in was in the afternoon, and although the receptionist wasn't there in the evening, we got through to the phone, got the code and followed the directions to the room

The house is in a great location, you only have to walk a little bit forward to get to the centre, we were recommended the low-slaughter and upper-slaughter routes, which were perfect, the scenery and houses along the way are stunning, plus in the summer it's just unforgettably beautiful

Beautiful room, excellent shower, fresh and clean towels, a really comfortable bed, a first class breakfast and a kind, attentive host. This could be our favourite place to stay in the Cotswolds, it's perfect. The breakfast in particular impressed us this time - there's a great selection available, very tasty and beautifully presented. We've already booked for next year! Thank you very much Lily and the rest of the team!

A couple more coffee capsules for the machine, bottled water in the fridge and the duck cushions back?.. This is being incredibly picky though! We really enjoyed our stay! :-)

The breakfast was outstanding, from selection on offer, the way everything was cooked, the service and surroundings in a very homely, pleasant dining room, during our visit the outside temperature was very cold, but inside the b+b everywhere was lovely and warm, the accommodation was also very clean with very comfortable beds, the manager ( Corrine ) gave us a very friendly welcome and was very pleasant and helpful during our stay, on the day of our departure, we were given lovely hand made shortbread biscuits, that had been made by the excellent chef ( Lorand ) we all had a wonderful stay, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Very nice old period property with parking just 200-300m walk from the centre of one of the most picturesque places in the Cotswolds. Parking is excellent and to the front and side of the property. The standard of fittings and attention to detail is very high, we had such a great nights sleep. We were expecting a lot as the reviews were so good but it far exceeded anything we could of imagined. All of the staff were so attentive and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble… mulled wine and mince pies on arrival and shortbread on departure. Breakfast was by far the best I have had in a longtime. Many thanks for making our stay so prefect x

Fantastic little break away for my wife's birthday. We initially were put into a room but we noticed a leak in the bathroom. We were quickly apologised to and the issue was quickly rectified with a new room. The staff were polite, friendly and amazing. The room was clean, the bed and pillows very comfortable and the bathroom was brilliant. Hotel is a 2 minute walk to the high Street which was great. A great stay for our trip to Bourton. Cannot wait to stay again. Also... Breakfast was lovely!

Wish we had stayed longer.

Extremely friendly and welcoming B&B with a cosy and comfortable room. The bath and shower were fantastic respites after long days of walking and Corinne was an excellent hostess with Chef providing an award-winning breakfast.

Room 14 definitely requires a larger size chest of drawers for clothes storage - a single armoire and miniature drawers were not suitable for adults. The property also needs a small lounge in the winter to enjoy. A lot of pubs were closing early and there was nowhere on the property in the evening to relax.
