Good location, 5 minute walk into Bourton. Room was clean and cosy,, bed was comfortable, slept really well Breakfast was delicious Had a Sunday roast and it was superb The staff were all really nice and friendly and helpful
Their pictures show an open fire lit and chairs so you could sit by the fire, which was the main reason i booked the Mousetrap as we love a real fire so was disappointed to find out the bar area is not like that at all its more of a restaurant and the fire was never lit even though it was February and cold. Probably would have sat in the bar in the evening if it had been cosy with the fire on The room was clean and tidy but a bit tired, could do with a makeover

We booked b&b. Room was lovely, warm and clean. Breakfast was excellent and we decided to have our evening meal at the inn also, which was very nice indeed. Bourton is a lovely place to visit and the Mousetrap Inn is very close, just a 4 minute walk.

Breakfast was very good, always lively, Toni was an excellent host serving us well and giving us local info, places to visit, we were able to add some indoor info to her list of places as weather was challenging, a lot of rain… Excellent 801 hourly bus service between local villages meant we could leave car parked at Mousetrap and explore local markets and villages Enjoyed couple of main meals here, good quality tasty food, Rich was our host in evenings, also checked us in on arrival and was brilliant at squeezing us in for last minute food table, keeping us entertained and after referring with Michelle, accommodating us with a table to sit and relax for the evening twice with just a drink when weather turned against us. Thank you everyone for making our stay a good one on our second visit with you! Albeit our last one was approx 20 years ago, different set of staff and owners but same ambience exists, had another great week
Rooms are small to relax in if wet weather hits only a small seating area on landing. However hosts are very good at trying to accommodate you with one of the tables in side room of bar, they did for us 2 evenings

On arrival the greeting of the brambling brook was a very welcoming surprise. Mousetrap a cute as in the picture books. Staff very welcoming, happy and pleased to greet us. Comfortable, small but our picking and everything we needed. Delicious evening meals. Bed cosy ... breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The pleasant walk into city centre very beautiful, we lucked in for a sunny day and a very pleasant early morning walk for me was a special treat. Found a walkway that took me round the back of home with the water at my side all the way and out I popped in the heart of the city centre and the bridge over the brambling brook again. Magical.

the pub is lovely, great location, wonderful food, we had evening meal and breakfast and both were great. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
When we checked in, the rooms were not configured correctly, had booked a twin and a double and they were both set up as doubles. It was sorted on request. But we were in the rooms behind the pub, by the car park and they felt rather overpriced. The rooms were small, tired and more like a cheap motel, with loads of cigarette butts all over the ground outside and the smells and sounds of the kitchen next door, for the princely sum of £150 per room 😳 I know the location affects the price, but I've stayed in home counties country house hotels for less.

Great location, a short walk into town. We did a lovely circular hike in the area, beautiful countryside.
Limited car parking spaces. The chair in our room was broken and you couldn't use it. The bathroom door wouldn't shut as the top hinge was nearly off the door frame. The lock to the room door was very loose and looked like it had been forced open at some time as the frame was cracked. It has a bar but no place to sit and enjoy your drink unless you have booked a table at the restaurant. You will need to take your drink upstairs to your room or drink outside.

Roast dinner was lovely as well as the breakfast very friendly staff was welcomed by a lovely lady who was very accommodating The mousetrap had lovely decor and was very inviting with a relaxed atmosphere would stay again , we stayed in room 11 which looked like it had just been refurbished to a nice standard that suited the character of the property
Parking was an issue as there is only a very small car park to the property which was full at the time , we managed to park at the British legion a bit further along the road which was assured by the mousetrap that it would be fine to do so until the morning , unfortunately when we went back to our car the following morning we was approached by a man from the British legion who wasn’t happy about us doing so we did explain that we was staying in the mousetrap and had payed the parking charge according to what it states , but he said that we shouldn’t have stayed overnight but would speak to the mousetrap about it , this incident did not in any spoil our stay at the mousetrap or bourbon on the water which is very enjoyable

Breakfast , room, and dinner all amazing, just one let down was the cheese board which sadly had a selection of two cheese , both of which were blue cheese ,one of which was was very salty. A slightly different selection would have been nicer. The crackers were lovely and a nice touch with shaped apple...very pretty.
The parking situation . If on the website you could put, where there is available parking it would take the hassle out of riding around. Not knowing the area and nearly every street having double yellow lines became a bit frustrating. The huge overnight carpark has plenty of parking, although it was a little expensive.

A great location, just a short stroll from the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water. Staff are friendly and efficient. The hotel is a restaurant with about 11 rooms, quirky and atmospheric. We enjoyed staying there.
There's no real dislike. The shaver plug in the bathroom didn't work - not an issue. The room was small, but perfectly adequate - not an issue. Overall, is was a great place to stay and would choose it again if we are in the area

Love place to stay in the Cotswolds, just a short walk from the Bourton-on-Water town centre. The room was a nice size and the bed was very comfortable. There is a great little pub/bar to get a few drinks with friendly and welcoming staff. I stayed here with my partner, my sister visiting from Canada with her fiancé, they were all pleased with the accommodation.
The kitchen was shut due to an incident so we had to go to another pub/hotel which wasn't easy to get into as both front doors were locked when we arrived. They gave us milk that was off for our coffees. I think it would have been better if The Mousetrap just offered a continental breakfast instead but hey ho that's how it goes.
