The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean! The building and area is impressive and the breakfast was great! Receptionist working Friday 22/09 pm was extremely helpful :)

Nothing.

This is a traditional hotel in modern Telford and benefited from some character. We had a decent size room which could benefit from a bathroom upgrade but had some sitting space. Breakfast was good.

The bathroom was showing its age and needs modernising and smelt a bit of the drains. It was a stand in the bath shower which does seem so old fashioned these days! However, everything worked. The main room which was lovely and bright in the afternoon and morning sunshine, was inadequately lit once it got dark, with a complete absence of overhead light and only one bedside light. The corner of the room where the kettle was was very dim.

I worked at the hotel many years ago. At that time it was very rural, surrounded by fields. But now the area all around the hotel has been highly developed. So from my opinion it has lost a lot of the country feel for me. That being said, if you hadn't known how it was before all of the over development surrounding it you would still proberbly appreciate the properties gardens and old charm. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. However certain aspects of the room were looking a little tired. The walk in shower whilst looking impressive is extremely slippy when wet, with no grab rails I felt very unsafe. For the higher price point I also felt that the beverage tray was disappointing, and could have had more luxurious offering. The breakfast was very tasty. But I was not checked and I would have liked some more coffee. The staff were very pleasant and professional.

Sorry I've written both in the one box!

Good central location, although I hadn't expected it to be quite so close to the industrial estate. Minor point for us as we weren't there for the scenery, but on another trip it might be nice to explore the local countryside. The staff were fantastic, and the dinner and breakfasts were excellent. Might be tempted to try the full Shropshire breakfast next time! Room was warm and comfortable. Really enjoyed the stay.

I discovered this hotel when going for a walk from another local hotel. It is located in an industrial estate yet manages to have a lovely country house feel and cute gardens to sit it. I was in the old part which was nice and very cosy. The staff are delightful and really helpful. Food was fabulous at dinner and breakfasts were good and lots of variety. I will definitely be booking again for my annual Telford trip.

I had a few bulbs out in my room but I forgot to mention it. Overall it was a lovely place to stay so nothing else wrong

Great breakfast, lovely room, bathroom a little tired, but all clean. Excellent staff.

Hotel seems set up for weddings - whilst we were aware that a wedding was taking place on the night we stayed, it does mean that some of the facilities, bar etc. not available to other guests, and of course there is loud music until late (up to 12.30). Fine for guests of the wedding, but would not visit again for this reason. Otherwise, the hotel was lovely and well located. A bit expensive as a result for the more limited facilities and peace for non wedding stays.

The staff could not be more helpful, with a great welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely bright, clean room and bathroom. Had a fabulous evening meal there and a great breakfast in the morning. It is a beautiful old house with great features and character. Its only fault is, there is no lift. I was on the second floor with quite a bit of work stuff and two cases so it could of been a challenge but staff to the rescue, a young staff member offered to help me upstairs with my luggage.

Not a question of not liking anything, just would have appreciated a lift to the upper floor

A lovely hotel, with fantastic helpful friendly staff

Much of the restaurant evening menu was not to our taste, but there was sufficient items for us to chose from. It was a shame that after staying three days the evening meal we were served on the last night did not come up to expectations.

Lovely quiet spot and peaceful atmosphere. The hotel was not busy. I had a tasty meal in the restaurant and next morning there was plenty of choice for breakfast. Checkin and out were quick and efficient, with staff who were considerate and helpful.

I was woken by a loud rattling noise at 6am, probably from the air conditioning, reported this to staff, who said they would look into it. Some of the plumbing seems to need updating.

Varied selection for breakfast. Very accomodating helpful and cheerful staff. Good standard of cleanliness throughout.

Dark corner in bedroom were tea/coffee makimg facilities were set out. Wardrobe was shading the main light , really needed an additional light. Hair dryer PAT testing sticker was out of date.
