Staff were great. Outdoor facilities excellent. Really nice veggie chili.

Bedroom was a bit small but great all the same.

Great location. Close to in law’s but great as a base for Shrewsbury and Shropshire. Room modern and clean.

The bar needed an update. All pleather seats worn away. Looked tatty. A bar staff member sat chatting to the chef? While others ran around doing all the work. One of the older bar staff had an altercation with him and offensive language was used in front of us.

We checked in just before 7pm, an hour earlier than we expected and an hour and a half before our dinner booking. After settling in, the staff were absolutely lovely in allowing us to order an hour early. As for the food, IT WAS GLORIOUS and I had to undo my buttons, I ate so much... The room was basic, but just what we needed and the beds were crisp, fresh and incredibly comfortable. In the morning, a freshly ordered and cooked breakfast was with us within five minutes of sitting down and again, it was cooked to perfection. All in all, it was easy to find, the location was just outside of the town. The staff were lovely and helpful. The room was clean, with VERY comfortable beds and last but not least, the food honestly was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this lovely old pub hotel/restaurant to anyone and I will most certainly be staying there again. TOP MARKS

Nothing whatsoever! We were extremely pleased with every aspect of our choice.

When we got back to the hotel at about 00.30 the front door was locked and although the bell was rung no one came. We were getting a bit worried but I could see a light on downstairs and I banged on a window to the left and saw someone cleaning in the bar. Also the poached eggs were a dissapointment, they were hard, so very dry. The rest of the breakfast was very nice, my husbands full English looked very good.

The wait to check in whilst the receptionist was 'having a fag' according to the bar staff That there was lots of noise from the young people smoking outside the bar and using foul language Lack of choice and knowledge for certain drinks ie whiskey

Staff were all really lovely. I had poached eggs on toast then croissant for breakfast with tea - tasty and hot. Comfy single bed, Tea and coffee facilities - had everything I needed. Nice soft towels.

Shower screen swings freely on side of bath resulting in a puddle to wipe up. Not a biggy because towels were provided so just used the floor towel to wipe it up. I struggled to find the location but I'm guessing that was down to google maps and a road closure because leaving the next day I had no such issues.

The staff were great. The room was lovely - very quiet and exceptionally clean. There was a very nice bar where we got chatting to a few locals - and a dog!

Thus is nit picking but we could have done with glass in the bathroom to use for rinsing teeth after brushing. In the very nice restaurant the white wine wasn't that cold and it was just left for us to open the bottle ourselves

Friendly greeting from the receptionist. Room was clean but a little dated. Windown opened nicely to let in lots of fresh air. No noise despite their being a wedding that day.

Still smells a bit like a place that used to accept smokers and hasn't changed the soft furnishings since the smoking ban. There weren't many plug sockets in the room so charging things was tricky.

Location was great for what we needed. Good parking. Friendly staff

In need of refurbishment. Rooms were clean but very tired. Bar area seating needs renewing. Food prices far to high for the quality of establishment, meals probably £10 to expensive, can’t comment on the quality of food as we ate else where for the 3 nights due to the price.
