Very good price for a family room, plenty of parking and easy location to the motorway. The food served was incredible quality and a great price for what you got. Staff were really helpful too, I'd like to thank Aaron and Spider as they both went out their way to provide us with some warm milk for the baby. Really good guys

The only complaint i could have was the heat of the room! We all slept fine regardless but still... The heated flooring un the hallway and bathroom was lovely but probably not in the middle of August, at the same time the air condition was not quite cold but just blowing air onto the beds.

Room was spotless, comfortable and plenty enough room for both of us. Spacious bathroom with huge shower was a bonus too. Staff on reception both on check in and check out were polite and friendly.

Tea, coffee, sugar etc supplied in room with kettle and mugs....but no spoons or stirrers! Breakfast was a bit of a shambles, lovely food once you could get a plate full. Not enough food for amount of guests in dining area which meant certain things kept running out but wasn't being refilled quick enough, it took almost 20 minutes of back and forth trying to get a full English (if you didn't get what was on offer when it was there, that would run out by the time the other items were replaced). No clean glasses for juice so had to use a mug! Staff weren't over friendly and were clearly stressed with the situation.

The food was very good and pretty reasonable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is undergoing refurbishment but we weren't disturbed with any early morning drilling etc. The work done so far had been done very well and I would be happy to stay again.

Small Double for us......exactly what it said it was. We were in the annexe and on the top floor. The room was tiny and only had one small velux window that the blind didn't quite shut on, so woke me up in the morning. But it was clean and well-stocked. Had to ask for clean towels....didn't see a cleaner and even though we said not to bother with servicing the room for both nights we were there, I'm not sure it would have got done anyway.

Pleasantly surprised to find the hotel had been refurbished. My room was newly decorated with a new bathroom and very comfortable bed. Hotel also has a restaurant and I thoroughly enjoyed my selection. It is on the main road but for me, it’s meant it was easy to find, with plenty of parking available and easy access to where I needed to go. I was not disturbed by any traffic noise. Would recommend for a stopover or as a base for a day or two to visit the surrounding area.

Have previously stayed for one night & booked same room type again (small cosy) as only needed for sleeping in. However they gave me a free up-grade to a larger room (which was nice) for the 3 nights I stayed. Oh & I liked that I had option of purchasing breakfast (at resident rates) if I wanted too & also that it was served from 06.30 which did give me time before I left for work

I think I was surprised that room prices tended to be more expensive on week days but this seems to be the same for other places I checked out

Room was spotlessly clean, bed was very comfy & ironing noted hairdryer all present in room, with coffee/tea, etc available. Breakfast had plenty of choice & quality of hot food was very good. Staff couldn't do enough for you, friendly & helpful at all times.

No lift, could've been told about that beforehand as one of guests had difficulty with stairs so would have specified a ground floor room for her. Small thing but would have made a difference if there were herbal teas in room as an alternative to tea & coffee.

the manager and staff were really lovely and even when they were busy, they still took the time to answer questions as help where needed. I took my son away for a couple of days. he is autistic and has learning difficulties plus he is no. verbal. the manager was brilliant with him as was another member of staff (didn’t catch his name). nothing was too much trouble. the rooms were lovely with two double beds which was nice, really comfortable. very clean and fresh.

my only quibble (but not a big deal) was that there was no fried eggs at breakfast, only scrambled which isn’t a biggy

Recently renovated rooms are nice and fresh and bring the hotel up to scratch. We stayed before out of necessity for work but now would chose it when we have to come to stay in Bristol over others.

This time our room was a great size, previously we've been in a room they barely fit the double bed in so it can really vary! The renovations are still ongoing (Sep23) so there were quite a few bangs and noises going on as they try to complete works. Worth it though.

The room was not huge and was one that had not been renovated but was comfortable. It was at the back of the hotel and upstairs which was a little far with cases and assistance dog but it was more than adequate for our needs and was quiet. The breakfast was tasty but advise you don't leave it late as certain foodstuffs may not be available, however they managed my need for non dairy and gluten free products. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

There could have been more sockets and been in more convenient places. Both our phones and iPad needed charging which meant all sockets were in use with TV unplugged and there was nowhere to plug in the laptop or other equipment. Bath was clean but the surface was slippy, could do with a better mat.

We were welcomed by friendly, helpful staff, helped with our luggage, and moved to a ground floor room when they saw that my partner's mobility was poor. All this help was unrequested but very welcome. All the staff with whom we came into contact were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were good and reasonably priced and we also enjoyed a delicious evening meal at the hotel.

Although the facilities were very good, the shower floor was very slippery and could be dangerous for older and/infirm guests, especially as there is nothing to hold on to. Hand towels would have been welcome.
