The room was lovely, and it was nice to have a bath as well as a shower. There was a good selection for breakfast - well cooked, and served with a smile by Susie There was a well stocked bar, and Adam the barman was most helpful and welcoming We had a small evening event in the bar and Betty and her team (especially Molly and Adam) looked after us really well The kitchen staff provided some super food - especially the pie, fish and chips, fish stew and peaches with cheescake. Thanks to all the team for making our stay so special..
The Wifi was a bit hit and miss, especially as you moved from room to room

Very cosy pub , friendly staff , loved our room , our room had a toilet pump unfortunately which I'm guessing can't be helped as I guess the waste pipes must be uphill, every now and again it would kick in very loud , doesn't effect me as I'm a deep sleeper but my Mrs woke a few times due to it. So maybe if u wake easily check that you get a room without a waste water pump system . Food was fantastic, will deffonatly stay again. They catered for gluten free too for my Mrs, I think they should invest in an actual gluten free menu to put out to customers to save time on working out what people who can't consume gluten are able to purchase. Very reasonably priced drinks especially being so close to Bristol. Thanks guys.

We really like staying at this inn. The room was comfortable and well equipped, tea tray with teas, coffee and water. The bathroom was clean with fresh towels. We needed a fan during our stay and this was provided. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice. The evening meal menu also had plenty of choice and the food we chose was tasty and well cooked and presented. Beautiful pub in a beautiful village. Close to the M5 interchange.
The bathroom radiator was on full blast and we were told it couldn't be turned off. The room was uncomfortably hot hence requesting a fan. We couldn't open the patio doors during the night as they were ground level. The fan helped and we opened the doors when we could. The patio doors also need a good clean, the nets on them are very dirty. Other than this, we loved it!

The room was lovely. bed was so comfy and the shower was amazing. check-in was from 3 pm onwards, but we were attending a family function for 2pm do we messaged to see if there was any possibility of our room being ready earlier as we were were travelling from North Wales, 4 hours away. The hotel advised they would do their best, but we would be able to drop off our luggage and collect the key if not. We made great tim and actually arrived even earlier, just after 1pm. We used the express check in link which was sent via text, which was super easy. The hotel does have a car park, which is free for customers, took a couple of minutes to register our reg, then made our way to the bar, where we were met by a lovely young lady, who informed us that our room was actually ready for us, even though we had arrived even earlier than we expected and took our allergy information in preparation for breakfast in the morning. We slept amazingly, as rooms are above the pub, we were surprised at just how quiet our room was, especially 9pm on a saturday evening. but we heard nothing from the bar downstairs. Breakfast had plenty of juice and was included within our stay price, plenty of options, but we decided on the Full English, it was cooked well and arrrived quickly. All in all, a lovely country feel pub and hotel, and great valvue for money, we will be visiting again.

We booked a twin but the radiator in the bathroom was broken and on full with no way of turning it down. Reece moved us into a king size which was a beautiful room and offered free drinks for the inconvenience. The staff are so helpful.
Small details to the room which if fixed would make it exceptional. Loose toilet roll holder. The entrance to the shower! I’m slim but could only enter the shower sideways due to the doors opening onto the sink. A curved base with an entrance between the toilet and sink would be better. Also although breakfast was included we got charged an additional amount as we didn’t opt for the full English. Our choice total cost was actually less than the cost of the full English but the charge was for adding salmon to the avocado and poached egg on toast.

The location was amazing and very scenic with easily accessible parking. My room was cosy and welcoming. Breakfast (food wise) was amazing with me diverging from my normal travel treat of eggs benedict (which was available) to shakshouka which was both tasty and ideal for a long day. The evening meals offered were a balanced choice and again varied with my selections (along with wine matched by staff) was both flavoursome and well presented. I am looking forward to returning both with work and also for leisure with my pooch (who is welcome and also is provided with his own menu
Breakfast coffee - a request for a repeat of the beautiful coffee in my room - even after bringing the cafetiere from my room an attempt to just put an "Americano" in the plunger was not welcome - solution - I brought my coffee bags. This may sound picky but I do not like barista coffee. A warning for restaurant users - service charge is automatically included and if you are unaware and have also cash tipped ....

The room was great. The bed was very comfortable. I loved the ambient, the decoration and design details. The coffee, tea and shortbread in the room were amazing. Car park and pub atmosphere.
The breakfast was not a good experience. In my case, breakfast was included, but I didn't receive any information about what was included, I was given a menu that contained the prices, I chose eggs royale and tea. Unfortunately the eggs were cold, in the end I was not asked for money, however unfortunately the breakfast was not a good experience. In the bathroom there was a bottle with hand lotion, but the bottle was completely empty.

This is an old inn, therefore it has low ceilings and is quirky. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. On our first night, a Sunday, we only wanted a light meal. Much of the menu was no longer available so the waitress suggested a starter. When it arrived it was awful. We complained and didn’t pay for it. We didn’t eat there in the evening again. However, the breakfast was good each morning. Although personally I’d prefer a less elaborate menu. The breakfast waitress was a very nice.
Nothing.

Lovely inn set in a quiet area. Great location for exploring Bristol and the Wye Valley/Forest of Dean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating of our requests. Before our visit, the inn staff were able to reserve the ground floor double room for my elderly parents. Food at the pub was excellent both at dinnertime and at breakfast. Rooms were comfortable and nicely decorated, and had good tea and coffee making facilities. The pub also has EV charging facilities (we did not need it this time).

We really enjoyed our stay at The Bowl. Rooms were quite small but very comfortable, the service was exceptionally good with friendly and helpful staff at every interaction. Of particular note, the restaurant was excellent with great food for both dinner and breakfast, and the staff were very helpful with catering for my family member requiring Gluten Free.
The only thing that was a bit challenging was the very narrow, small road leading to the Bowl. There is nothing further I would comment on as an issue - all else was excellent.
