To begin with on arrival the drive up to the country house was nothing less than a fairy tale, and the views followed - taking in the beautiful blossomed flowers and spectacular scenery. On top of that, the country house was magnificent and the staff were nothing but helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay perfect in every way! A special shout out to Linda and Cath, they are the stars of the show!

Not a lot to moan about , i would of liked a room at the front of the building with the views like the breakfast room , however i can appreciate i was travelling alone I left early only due to business , and would come back anytime im in the Lakes

Every service is delivered immaculately - food service, food quality, drinks, housekeeping, linen, cleanliness, or any concierge service. Everything is masterclass. The staff led by the legend of hospitality, Linda, and her team are outstanding. Always doing everything to make you comfortable, with a super smile.

Sheena and her staff are excellent ! They are so organized and they run the beautiful property so well ! Everything is so well organised and lots of attention to detail was given. Breakfast was a BIG TREAT each morning with amazing fresh produce and award winning marmalade with Michelin Star service and standard ! We enjoyed our freshly prepared breakfasts tremendously - kippers, Full English breakfast, freshly squeezed orange juice, generous portions of coffee and drinks. It's so beautiful to have our meals in their dining room with views of the lakes and mountains and greenery and fresh crisp air - a little slice of heaven on earth !

Everything was PERFECT !!!! There was nothing that we didn't like. Beautiful property, Clean and well maintained. Amazing place !!

An absolute gem of a place! A lovely warm welcome; friendly staff; delicious food; really well-equipped & comfortable room. (Including high quality toiletries and the most delicious shortbread!) A charming house set in beautiful & peaceful grounds with lovely views. The ideal place for rest and relaxation whilst enjoying the delights of the Lake District.

The Arts and Crafts house

The room, Ullswater, 02. Beds not long enough for anyone over 5'10. Decor from 1984. I had that Laura Ashley wallpaper. Dark, no view. Should be closed off and redecorated sadly. Other rooms seemed to be done up ok. Breakfast quite sparse, one piece of bacon, one sausage!!! Staff, fabulous House location had stunning views.

The hotel has a family feel about it. I love that it’s not corporate, it’s intimate, unique and a true treasure.

The new owners have already changed the little extras - gone is homemade marmalade, gone is the sherry in the rooms, and these extras are what made it so special. Please don’t change it.

Simply put, we loved everything about Lindeth Fell. The story behind the Hotel and the fact that the daughters still work within the family business means that they actually care about the people staying there. Aesthetically, the place is beautiful, I came up with my Mom for Mother's Day for a treat, and I couldn't have picked a better location. Even just sitting and drinking Tea in the front lounge with the sun trickling through the window was a pleasure, and very soothing.

Me and my mother loved everything, we couldn't complain at all.

The staff and owners all consistently went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, as well as to help with directions and/or recommendations for walks and restaurants in the Lake District. The breakfast was delicious and healthy, with a variety of choices, and we received very pleasant service from all involved. The hotel building was quaint and beautifully appointed and the large garden was absolutely lovely. A bonus was meeting Alfie and Rosie, the adorable and affectionate resident Border Terriers!

The location is perfect not too far from city yet very calm. Everything was perfect. The rooms are spacious. The bed very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful. They took care of every single detail. We didn’t have to worry about anything.The food is delicious. A great place to spend your vacation. Highly recommended.
