The hotel is right in the town centre of Wrexham, so it's in a great place for the nightlife and shopping. It offers free parking during your stay, which is great. The pub downstairs is also quite nice, and offers some nice food. The beds are really comfy, and the rooms are a good standard.

The one slight problem we had was that we booked 3 x twin rooms through Booking.com, and all of the rooms were doubles. The receptionist said that I had not specified this on my booking, to which I proved otherwise with my booking confirmation via Booking.com. We asked for the beds to be split and the receptionist said that they would see what they could do, and asked if we could wait in the bar for 15-20 minutes, and would come and see us with the outcome. It wasn't a problem for us to go for a drink and wait, however approximately 30+ minutes later I went to see the receptionist, and they hadn't even asked anyone about it! The beds did eventually get sorted though.

Stayed a few times before great staff and food is good 👍

arrived on the 13th leaving on the 14th, paid for Breakfast. Only to be told by kitchen staff on my leaving day, no food as there are contractors in the kitchen, so no food can be cooked. So I went to reception and asked why they took payment off my card for breakfast. They said we didn't know work was being done and kitchen would be closed..... so management didn't now about a vital part of there operation being closed...that doesn't seem likely..

Lovely reception staff, very friendly and welcoming. Nice warm, clean room and bathroom. Super comfy bed, plenty of hot water for a relaxing bath. Didn't have breakfast this time but have enjoyed it in the past.

The flush handle on the toilet would jam in the downward position, stopping the cistern from refilling. It was easy enough to lift back up and only a small problem. Unfortunately there was a couple who decided to have a very loud argument at 3am which woke us up and we were worn out the next day. NOT the fault of The Wynnstay Arms Hotel and we've never experienced it on our previous stays but they were a nuisance.

You simply get what you pay for. It’s cheap and cheerful. We booked a family room consisting of a large bed and a single. The room was very spacious and clean. We used the restaurant one evening and couldnt fault the food. It’s also in the centre of pretty much everything you need. We come visiting a family member down here and will be using this hotel as our first choice in future. The beds were comfy and we slept well. The staff was all really friendly too. My son can’t wait to be back.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Had everything we needed.

It was very convenient and close location to Maelor Hospital I was working at. The bed was very comfortable with clean bedsheets and pillows, and the room was kept warm throughout.

It could have been a bit more clean. It looked like it was not hoovered, there were tea stains on the desk/bench under the TV, the TV was dusty, in the bathtub were dark hairs clogging the drain and in the towels I found more dark hair and some small stains.

Spent 14 nights in 14 different hotels as we took part in a bike ride. The Wynnstay Arms was a highlight, not for the facilities, although they were great, however, for the service we received. Met by a young, red-headed lady (sorry, can't remember name) who got us organised with a safe day place to keep our bikes. Then, realising we hadn't eaten paused our check-in so we could grab some food (again, great) before the kitchen closed. After dinner, she took us back to reception to finish check-in. We had cycled 90 odd miles that day in a storm, and none of us were in good moods, but being looked after they way we were on arrival made a world of difference. Wrexham was a flying visit, but we will come back to explore, and when we do, we will stay at the Wynnstay Arms again. Thanks

The hotel is tired and about to be renovated - which is very necessary. Great restaurant and bar and absolutely excellent staff who really go the extra mile - particularly Ms Rowanne on the front desk - she was an angel. A great location just 12 minutes walk from The Racecourse to watch Wrexham FC matches, with parking included and a terrific breakfast too.

Room facilities (more accurately, the lack of anything but the basics).

The best thing about the Wynnstay is the staff. I've stayed there on and off almost every other week for a year. To the point where they have learnt out names and us theirs. Really good, professional and hard working good people. Assets to the hotel and the town. Also location, location, location. AND free parking. Oh yes and...a banging breakfast although the chef might not want more people knowing about this 😂😂😂

My only grumbles are always more toilet roll and I wish the showers were higher pressure but these are personal issues and I've probably only noticed because I stay there so much!

I rate by value for money - so a £100 a night hotel that has say a loose toilet roll holder gets downgraded whereas a £50 a night hotel with a loose toilet roll holder doesn't provided it has a clean room, clean linen and towels, hot water and friendly and helpful staff. In addition this hotel had a great location, free WIFI and free parking and for the night I booked didn't even cost £50 - Fantastic value!

TV a little on the small side and a little difficult to find the car park but the room was still great value.

Staff were fantastic. I parked my car in nags head car park as that's where my sat nav took me. This was no problem. Not very good with diary so ordered burger with no cheese the chef provided burger sauce to replace this. Evening meal was good value and tasty. Breakfast was great. Bed was very comfy.

My company laptop didn't like the WiFi so couldn't get on. Room could do with updating especially the bathroom. Window needs replacing as needed to wedge bottle in gap to keep open but when closed could hear people talking in car park below.
