Lovely property off the main roads (but not far from pubs, shops etc) very quiet and beautiful views. Menna and Tom very good hosts. We stayed during Storm Darragh and woke up to a power cut which affected a large part of the area. Having the fire was lovely to keep us warm and Menna made sure we had anything we needed for our stay until the power could be restored. We unfortunately had to cut our stay short to get home from the storm but would definitely stay here again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay. My only addition would be to add a guest book so people can write in during their stay (I love reading other people’s comments and their recommendations for the local area)

ok, i need to explain me first, i work in retail, i get really sick of people and i need to switch off. when i got to the property i parked, got the key from the lock box thing, i didn't see anyone, to me this is heaven, i really like the alpine style of the room i had, i had a shower, that was awesome, the shower head was so powerful that i have realised i need an upgrade at home. the folder of information was helpful as i used info in there to get some food from the local co-op 2 miles away, then used the microwave etc, wifi was good, tv was nice and big, the bed was super comfy. the property is sort of in the middle of nowhere, perfect, and the room i had had a big window view over the rear field etc. if you like being left alone this is the place for you.

perfection can't be improved upon

The property was situated a short 15 minute drive to both Chester and Wrexham. We chose to stay 2 nights day one we spent exploring Chester, day two we took a train to Manchester and day three we explored Wrexham and it’s football grounds. Near by pubs to enjoy as-well as dominos a short pick up drive which we found convenient! It was located down country lanes passing many beautiful properties. Tom happened to be passing by as we arrived and showed us to our room. The room was clean and tidy with all facilities you could need. The price of the property for the value was incredible! Both Tom and Meena could get away with charging a lot more for what they offer! The bedding was my favourite I went home to buy the exact same duvet it was so cosy. Ideal having a smart TV and we were able to watch the programs we enjoy. Brilliant water pressure and plenty of space for clothes. Handy private access to the upstairs balcony room we stayed in. The room had a microwave, fridge, kettle and hot drink facilities. All information was available at hand and Tom and Meena were contactable.

On the second night we could often hear conversations and other noises from the connecting property. This wasn’t really a problem and was short lived. Everything else was perfect!

What a lovely stay! We had the balcony room and it was cosy and comfy. After putting our stuff in the wrong room (totally our fault) and heading into Wrexham for a meal, our host Menna contacted us to advise that she had moved our (very heavy) bags to the correct room and put items to be refrigerated into the fridge. On our return we had a lovely conversation which alleviated our anxiety and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet, comfy stay.

In hindsight, I wish we'd stayed longer.

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful location in the countryside yet close enough to the nearest town being less then 10 minutes away. We stayed in the upstairs coachhouse with the balcony facing the paddock and it was just the most perfect little mini getaway. Beautifully laid out and everything we needed. Very tastefully decorated and clean. The host Menna was lovely and very accommodating. Even our grumpy little sausage dog managed to relax.

Either our downstairs neighbors were very heavy handed or the ceilings/floors are a little thin. This didn't make any difference to our stay though, we loved every second.

Little balcony area with table and chairs ideal for this heatwave. Host was very pleasant, offered a jug of milk so could have a cup of tea before making it to the local shop. Everything you need for one night e.g Kettle, Little fridge, TV, Iron etc.

No real negatives, it was only a one night stay for an appointment the next morning in nearby Wrexham, so ideal facilities in the one bedroom ground floor for one night. If I stayed there again (and it was for longer) and more of a "holiday" I would look at renting one of their bigger self-catering cottages.

Excellent peaceful stay. Lovely views out in the countryside but less than 15 minutes from the centre of town. Good communications with owners. Clean well equipped property with very good facilities. TV and wifi excellent. Bedding and towels clean and ready for use. Wet room superb and once heated the whole place stayed lovely and cozy. Will definitely be staying again next year, highly recommend.

Three small problems: twin room although it looked like it had a wardrobe for storing clothes, it was not. When opened it was full of the hot water heater, water tank, ironing board and other stuff so no where for two of us to hang or store clothes, so had to live out of luggage. . All of the Beds were pretty hard and made for a little uncomfortable sleeping, but everyone obviously has different tastes in matress styles.. Lastly, one set of doors on the side of the property you can open easily from the outside but locking them and getting back out from the inside is virtually impossible as the doors or locks are miss aligned or have swollen, so these three things do need addressing.

A quiet location and good accommodation. The shower was excellent with good pressure. Had trouble locating the key as we went to the wrong apartment on arriving. My phone had no signal on Vodaphone. Luckily my wife was on another network which meant we could contact the owner (who picked up straight away) and guided us to the correct accommodation.

Wow... the photos don't do it justice, it is a stunning location. The property was huge! Real wooden floors, good sized bedrooms and bathrooms, full built in wardrobes, everything you could think of in the kitchen, both couches were so comfy, a huge tv and a stunning log burner... pure paradise. Good location for nearby activities although we just did some walking with the dog this time. Can't wait to return.

Screeching water pipes in the shower... but corrected by turning the temp higher or lower

Pet friendly. A mix of contemporary and traditional interior.Well designed and suitably equipped for a short stay. the outside space was useful for dogs on a lead. Easy to park near the property to unload.Useful information about places to eat.

Bigger towels would have been useful. A bit disconcerting hearing the owners /other visitor's dogs barking on the other side of the wall. We didn't watch the tv but it wasn't placed so it could be watched form the sofa.
