Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Just loved the huge variety of choices. The location of the facility was close to everywhere we were trying to visit. The room was excellent. Bed was very comfortable. Everyone should visit the gym. It met our expectations and thank you for having towels available. Oh we just loved the history that is all over the hotel, great job.

No pool, and a charge of $35/day for valet which we did not use.

Old property with a lot of character. I'm glad Hampton Inns is keeping it alive. Breakfast was pretty good for an American mid-level hotel, and it was included. I think the nice lady at the front desk upgraded me at check-in because I had a nice suite with a separate sitting room. The location was great for walking to meeting at the Regions Bank building.

The carpet in the room was a little old. The price was relatively high for what you got. The parking lot is tiny, only for valet parking. I parked at a garage off site.

Excellent variety of choices for breakfast - Wanda (she prepared everything) was super sweet and very attentive during breakfast. Rooms were nice for a historical hotel. Loved looking at all of the old pictures on the 1st, 2nd and 8th Floors given the significance of Birmingham to many industries in the 1900's.

Property does need a little tender loving care around the front landscaping and in the rooms but that did not really affect our love for the historical property. We were glad to see Hilton manage (or puchase?) the property so it wasn't torn down given it's rich history. Park on the street if you want to save the $38 bucks to Valet/Park. Street parking is free on weekends, before 8am and after 6pm since the property is downtown.

Hotel with a history. Classy building. Carpet in the room was stained. Bed comfortable. Noisy first night (celebration in nearby partk), but wonderful after that. Close to BJCC where our meetings were.

Trying to talk to a real person about adjusting our reservation and questions about charges. Hotel and booking.com need to be in better communication. Confirmation number through booking.com was not recognized by the hotel causing all sorts of frustration in trying to change reservation and get answers regarding charges. Expensive parking! But we were given one night free parking so that helped.

The location was great, valet staff greeted us immediately and the front desk staff were helpful and polite. The hotel is beautiful with modern amenities as you stand in the middle of Birmingham history. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great, a variety to choose from and served in a beautiful room that allows for a cozy, private feeling. At the advice of the staff, we took a walk out onto the beautiful balcony, then on the 8th floor to see more photos and history and beautiful views of the city from the large open windows.

We had to leave. We have to travel for medical appointments and this is the perfect spot.

The valet staff was exceptional. They were warm and friendly and greeted me with a smile when I pulled in, explained how the parking worked and gave me the option of parking on the street for free. They answered some other questions about nearby locations. When checking out, they had brought me my car before I had even asked. The location was nice. Could walk a few blocks to restaurants and venues. The room was clean and quiet. 4 towels for 2 guests instead of 3 like many hotels do.

The lady at the reception desk was passive-aggressive and a bit rude. Took any question as an attack and replied defensively.

My annual Solo trip. This is truly an exceptional, historical, luxury level hotel. 10+ on every aspect of service, accommodation, location, and consistency each year. From the restaurant/lounge, front entrance, outdoor seating, private event spaces, and valet parking 💯 % the greatest experience of ANY hotel in the Linn Park area. Looking forward to next year's visit 😊
