Cliff Castle Casino Hotel

Great location awesome casino hotel overlooking the beautiful Verde valley. If you are traveling without kids, you will appreciate the casino, bars, restaurants, nightclub, and other entertainment. If you are traveling as a family this is the perfect spot. They have a kids play area, bowling alley and arcade. The fitness center, indoor swimming pool and hot tub areas are great. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

The pool and hot tub are indoors which was great. Really nice facility. BUT I really wished the pool was heated because that water was so cold! Hot tub was great.

Staff, restaurants, the feel that the hotel really appreciated your business and could not do enough for you to enhance stay and wanted to make sure you would return soon for another visit.

Speaking with the locals who live in Camp Verdi my wife and I were given the impression that those whom elected to get into the Sports Betting made a bad call and have to recoup the money spent by tightening up the slot machines. The fun that we used to achieve playing the slot machines is gone, we went to Cliff Castle for a change. No one expects to win but once in a while a small win adds to the fun even when you put it all back. But now the locals are staying away as we were told and those who still go to the Casino have cut way back on their visits. I guess we will do the same.

How clean the place was. How separate the casino area was to the hotel lobby. The rooms were comfy. Lighting was nice in the room, and we had lots of options. I like how there was water provided in the rooms. I like the game room, the food options. The rooms very quiet could hardly hear any other noise from others.

Just the way a customer barged in front of the line and wanted a key change. The staff weren't as friendly, they really need better customer service. Especially greeting a person at the lobby. I was not greeted at all during my stay. I don't know if it because I'm Native American, but I'm been getting that vibe at this location and in sedona area. Also it very difficult to find parking and the hotel lobby, I drove around and saw a garage n just followed others into the casino.

I like how soundproof the rooms are even though it is located in a casino. The room was lovely decorated and very clean. I loved the rainfall shower. Staff at the front desk were all very nice. I enjoyed breakfast especially biscuits and gravy. The hotel is conveniently located to a lot of attractions. I visited Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood, which is about a 1/2 hour drive away. See pictures attached.

I think guests should receive a small credit for the casino for staying at the hotel. Or enter our name in a drawing or similar promotion based on the number of days of our stay.

Staffing, maintenance, gambling, all the food locations within the facility and bars. A short drive to Camp Verde for some amazing restaurants for a small town. We go just for the lifestyle change but there are a lot of outside attractions for the outdoors people.

When making your reservation online make sure you check the WEB address. If in doubt Phone the Hotel. One company has piggy backed on the Cliff Castle WEB site and if used they will rob you blind. They will charge you for the air you breath.

Our room was great.

After a long day of driving, we were so excited to soak in the jacuzzi/spa and when we got to the pool area there were at least 4 children under the age of 7.. I don't mind them playing and splashing in the pool and being loud.. the spa is for adults.. we could have said something then and kids probably would have got out, I'm sure it was a urine bath by then.. lol.. ewwwww.

Hotel was updated, room was updated and clean, and casino was clean! Really glad you have a smoke free environment for your guests and employees. Most of the employees we interacted with were very helpful!

Had a major issue with a very rude hostess named Alva who was working as hostess the night of October 20th. at the Storyteller restaurant. Her behavior, the way she spoke to us, and her attitude were so rude that we left the restaurant and reported her to a casino manager that evening. We have never ran into anyone with such an attitude working as a hostess. We spent a lot for two dinners there. Won’t be back.

The rooms were very clean, and the spacious shower was a plus. Parking was easy. The staff was great. The view of the mountains from our room was beautiful. The indoor pool was the reason for staying there, as we were with our little grandson. Overall, it was well worth it. The bed was comfortable.

The only thing I didn't care for was the small pillows on a king-sized bed and the quality of the pillows.

Loved the simplicity of the buffet. Nice variety, not to much and not to little. Also you can't beat fresh eggs for breakfast. Loved the panoramic views though out the surroundings. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Can't think of a thing. If I was to nit/pic, our bed was higher than I'm used too as well as a bit harder than I'm used too, but I adjusted to it. Oh! one morning the cooks changed while I was waiting for my eggs, the new cook through my almost ready cooked eggs in the trash and started over. I though that was very strange and I had to wait a little longer for the eggs thus it made the rest of my food on my plate cold.

We had a voucher for 1/2 off their brkfst buffet, but their system wasn't working properly yet, claimed it was because it was Seniors' day. We had to pay for it and get reimbursed. They ended up giving it to us for free.

Check-in was very slow (15-20 minutes) because we booked through a third party and only a few hours prior. They said it wasn't in their system yet, and they had to search for it manually.
