Considering the hotel was near a busy road (Route 66, to be exact) and railroad tracks, we were worried it would be too noisy, but thankfully it was hidden behind a restaurant that was right on the road, and even with trains going by in the middle of the night we still couldn't hear much and could sleep comfortably. We liked how "hidden away" it was for its location and thought the hotel staff was very nice. Would stay here again if passing by on Route 66 one more time.

The air conditioning didn't keep the place very cool, and I kept having to turn the temperature down, particularly while we slept. It seemed hard to regulate the temperature in the room.

The motel rooms may be a bit dated, but that was just what I appreciated. The room & bathroom were 1970s-like, cute, and clean. The room also had a small table & chairs, something one doesn't see often in motel rooms. The view from the room was one of the best things. As a train enthusiast, I had a good time watching the trains go by, on the tracks parallel to Route 66. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Fresh complimentary coffee is available at the reception. The motel is conveniently located; only a 20-minute walk to downtown.

Nothing; everything was just fine.

The staff was amazing! The restaurant attached to the motel is phenomenal. The room was exactly what we needed! Great night stay overall! I'd honestly prefer to stay here than the chain hotels. Well loved but CLEAN and comfortable & just my style! My husband was actually talking about being able to remote work here if we wanted to come up for a couple days because there's a desk that is the perfect size AND a table that we could play games at or eat. Everything was wonderful!! I can't wait to come back!

Booked at an original Route 66 motel due to its location, price and for nostalgic reasons. It satisfied on all criteria. Sure it was a bit dated and in need of some upgrading, but that was of little concern to us. The welcome was friendly, the room clean, and the beds very comfortable. It ticked all the right boxes for us, and I’m glad we stayed here. And the good Mexican restaurant on site was a bonus.

The rooms need a bit of upgrading (which we were told is pending), but this just added to the retro atmosphere, and wasn’t really important to us in comparison to comfort, convenience and a warm welcome.

Convenient location for travel and old Flagstaff. Friendly and accommodating staff. Authentic. Ok, the place is dated, but who cares? It added to the retro feel. (It is due to be upgraded shortly, and while that will no doubt be nice, I hope they manage to keep some of the old fashioned feel) Really good Mexican restaurant on site. Clean and really comfortable beds, which is the most important thing as it ensured a great night’s sleep.

This motel is conveniently located for visiting the Grand Canyon (a 1.5 hour drive, but there aren’t great options closer to the park) and unique. It’s refreshing to stay somewhere with character and history without sacrificing cleanliness and service. The charm of this motel completed our Grand Canyon experience. Staff were warm and helpful. Wish there were more places like it!

The price was unbeatable! The heat was all throughout the room because there was a furnace with vents along the wall and even in the bathroom! There was a flat screen in the room so the kids could watch TV, the water for the shower was hot, and the microwave and fridge helped out so you don't have to eat out a lot.

Beds are a little on the harder side

Room was clean, owner stayed late for our late check in, nice showers. Parked right in front of our room, felt safe.

The train, but that's not anything to do with the motel.

The manager upgraded us to a King room free of charge. He also was very helpful in finding the motel and give directions to restaurants.

Room temperature is controlled by the manager. One night, I was a little chilled and the other nights, I was too warm. Fortunately, the rooms have windows that can be opened so Flagstaff's cool nights was nice.
