We liked the old 100 year old house. We got a room on the third floor. The remodel was nice. I stayed with my adult son. We had nice beds on different walls, both looking out on the ocean in the distance. The staff asked me if I was ok walking 3 flights of stairs, which was thoughtful. There was Keurig coffee on the first floor. Power bars, fresh fruit, tea were offered. Popcorn too. It was fine for us. Beach was a short drive away, as are Noyo Harbor and Old Town Fort Bragg. We enjoyed the quiet and the ambiance.

Lighting in our room and at top of stairs could be brighter. Too dark to read a book. The carpet on stairs needs cleaning.

The house is absolutely gorgeous- it was a really nice place with a very casual atmosphere- not snooty at all. The gardens were beautiful and there is a very friendly outdoor cat that greets visitors when they arrive (Not sure if the cat belongs to the property, but she was hanging out in the gardens and greeted us when we arrived). Excellent coffee in the morning, and I mean excellent! The beds were SUPER comfortable, and they gave plenty of pillows and i really enjoyed that there was a reading nook in our room. I also loved how much character the house has both in its architecture and its decor.

The Wi-Fi was a bit spotty, which could be inconvenient for folks considering the cell reception in the area is also spotty for data. It didn’t inconvenience me much for this stay because it was short, but could be a problem for folks staying longer than a night. We also couldn’t figure out the TV.

the house is beautiful, the vibe of the place and becky (the manager) was great, the owner was nice too. All very clean, the kitchen was great, very good location, sharing a little bit every breakfast with the other guests was nice cos everyone was really nice there.

the internet could be better, very slow, if you need to work online can be an inconvenience, and saturday morning they were doing some fixings outside the house and they start very early to work, was very noisy, and if you are in the first floor evrything from the second floor can be listen, we wake up many times cos of the loud guest upstairs since like 5am.

Easy to find quiet location. The grounds were lovely and inviting. The decor inside was matched by the age of the house, antique looking and interesting. We stayed in the budget room which was fine for my husband and me. Other rooms were larger and more intimate. Breakfast was simple but enjoyable as we do not require much. Our host was lovely and friendly, and the price was right for what we paid. Overall an enjoyable stay for the type of business, and our expectations. We would love to go back.

The shower in our particular bathroom, (each room is different) was a little small, and I am an average sized person.

Friendly hosting, nice clean room with character and a very good mattress. Enjoyed the pancake breakfasts very much, nice outdoor eating area if you choose. Was a good base for enjoying the Mendocino coast. Lodging in coastal Mendocino is fairly expensive Fort Bragg included. I paid more for this stay than I'm accustomed to, but I really don't see any lower priced decent alternatives in Ft Bragg. Even if you're tempted to stay at the local Motel 6, its about the highest priced and funkiest Motel 6 you're likely to experience. So, I'm glad I found the Captain's Quarters.

The house is over 100 years old, it has so much character! You can tell the owners are working diligently to restore it back to its former glory, although it's absolutely beautiful as it stands. The Innkeeper Becky was wonderful, so friendly and inviting. It was a very comfortable place to relax at. The place itself and the surrounding area are so very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be back.

I could use hotter water. However I like to burn my skin off when I take a shower, so that could be just me. Maybe darker curtains on the windows, however waking up with the sun isn't that bad. It's a beautiful area to be in.

This property is unique. It’s a interesting historic property. Our room was large . Beds were okay , slept well. Lots of pillows. Big fluffy towels. Safe neighborhood, close to everything. Becky was welcoming and helped us find our way around town. Our room was comfortable and clean. Lots of stairs so if that bothers you take the first floor room. Breakfast had the best fresh fruit ever, and the coffee was amazing.(That’s a big plus!) We will go back next time we visit Fort Bragg.

It was warm on our last day. Third floor got a little warm.

- a beautiful house in the Victorian style in a quiet residential area nearby the beach, with a garden around and an own small parking lot, a cosy and homely atmosphere (just a few rooms). - a very spacious and lovely kitchen available for guests, we were welcome to grab a coffee or some fruit etc. - a walking distance to the beach and a few minutes by car to other places to the hiking trailheads (as the Russian Gulch or the Glass beach or other coastal trails - the coast is of an exquisite beauty) - the place is pretty pricey but for a short stay it was great to be there

Due to COVID they said free breakfast was not available. However guests were using kitchen together & not wearing masks or social distancing as COVID has improved & guests were vaccinated so free breakfast would have been nice.

I had thought my entire family was all on second floor & didn’t realize daughter was on first floor. Also didn’t realize there were rooms on third floor so had to listen to guests up there walking on our ceilings. I’m 70 yrs old so it was my confusion & was not misled by owners.

Breakfast needed more variation as I'm not a fan of pancakes. Excellent coffee. Location was great-close to everything but quiet, lovely part of old Fort Bragg. Becky, the innkeeper was friendly and helpful. Good place to chat with people from other countries. The decor was quirky and whimsical.

I wish I had chosen a larger room. It was the smallest in the house and felt a bit crowded for my 10 year old grandson and myself. All the other rooms were quite spacious.
