We loved the historical feel of the property combined with the modern amenities. The location was quiet and close to everything we wanted to explore. The garden was sweetly maintained, and the interior design was stunning yet comfortable too. Breakfast every morning was absolutely delicious and such a cute bonus that it’s delivered right to the door for us to enjoy in our pj’s.
I wish we had access to ice or an ice machine nearby. And the mattress was a bit firm, but that’s simply my own personal preference.

The breakfasts were wonderful and we loved that they were delivered to our room each morning. But they could have arrived a little earlier (8:30 maybe). We loved that we could walk into town from our B&B and didn't need to drive & look for parking each time we went out for dinner. Also, the staff were wonderful & polite, always available to help.
There was no door or even a curtain to give privacy when bathing. The shower/tub were in a separate room from the toilet & sink, but something to give privacy while in the shower would have been nice.

It was spotlessly clean. The furnishings/ lounge are wonderful. Every evening 5-6 there is complementary wine and nibbles. Breakfast Was delicious,uniquely served. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Rustic charm of the Mendocino coast, stayed in the captain's room with a great balcony view. The location was perfect and the staff was first-rate. The historical house was showing wear and tear from the north coast weather but the inside was nicely furnished and charming. Loved the fireplace in the suite and the afternoon treat of wine and cheese.
Time to do some TLC to the historical home on the outside to match the well-maintained interior.

The chef prepared breakfast in a picnic basket and dropped it off at our front door. It was delicious and had steaming hot coffee that was wonderful. Our breakfast included individual hot egg frittatas and yogurt with fresh fruit and granola, orange juice. The portions were large and it all tasted like it was locally sourced. It was perfect!
You really need a reservation for dinner before you arrive. There are limited number of restaurants right now but we did try two and they were exceptional.

the hotel is split up over three separate buildings on different blocks, but everything is so close together in town it makes no difference to your stay. it’s modern and updated in beautiful old buildings that fit right into the town.
we tried to call the office a few times and only reached someone 1/5 times (during their normal hours). didnt greatly affect our stay but follow up or a response would have been appreciated

I love the privacy of your little cottage
we were woken up by a gang of raccoons who were raiding the trash cans that were next to our room! haha we didn’t know what it was at first and it persisted for a few hours on and off and finally my husband had enough and went outside and scared them off!
