I always love a make-your-own waffle maker in the breakfast room! The staff respected our do not disturb sign. The very recently renovated rooms have a very comfortable yet trendy vibe. Love the shower head. Decent amount of water pressure! :)

The cups for the tea and coffee are not a good selection. I could taste the cardboard leech through to my hot tea. You had my favorite tea but it was unpalletable due to the cups available. It was problematic that when we drove onto the property the sign showing us where to sign in was difficult to see unless we thought to look at the Sonora Inn. There was an odd leak around the window frame that must have been coming from upstairs because the rain is not able to reach our window. We were in room 162 btw.

Uncomfortable beds and The gal at the front desk was not that friendly, at least not to me. She had no welcoming skills and seemed like she couldn't wait to be done helping me. Weird because most of the reviews state differently. Lastly, when I arrived at my room, the door was already wide open!! It alarmed me because I am a single female traveler. The maintenance crew were just finishing up checking all the tvs. ...

As others have noted, very comfortable beds. The room interiors are a new renovation, and done well. My stay was to handle moving a family member from assisted living in Sonora to out of state, I had lots of boxes in and out of the room as I sorted out storage and packing issues, which housekeeping worked around graciously. That said, room was quite small. Mostly just walking space between bed, dresser, desk, then bath area, speaks to origins as a Rodeway Inn

Property shares parking with Hotel Sonora (same owners). Lot is small, awkwardly shaped, insufficient for car per room, and the angle of parking or drive lane in lot feels slightly off standard spot angles, as combined with parking spot width it's very difficult to squeeze even a mid-sized vehicle in and out of the spot itself. Very limited on-street parking nearby.

Very friendly. Looks a little off-putting at first but once you see the rooms and are able to learn more of the history you realize how good of a place to stay it is. I would recommend it.

The AC went out during the night. They gave us a fan but still didn't keep the room cool. I wish more info was given on why we couldn't get a new room or something a little nicer. This is really the only complaint we have at all.

The room was lovely—beds comfortable, good storage, strong shower, room to move, clean, fresh, updated. The coffeemaker was appreciated, though quirky. It was nice to have the refrigerator and microwave which we didn’t use but might have.

Our room was over the outdoor meeting/smoking area so noisy and a bit smelly well into the night. We were also at the hotel with a vintage hot rod group, some of whose members started warming up their loud cars at 6:30 am. Windows could be more sound-proof. Additionally, as the weather was hot, we kept the AC on at 75 degrees, but it came on noisily and woke us several times during the night. All in all, between the external and internal noise, not much sleep.

There was a peculiar smell inside our room (and in the other room the staff had us check out to see if we’d like to switch). It’s the only thing we didn’t like about our stay. It got inside our clothes and I ended up needing to wash all of our unworn clothes along with our dirty clothes

Cleanliness, design of the room, comfortable bed. Nice and helpful staff. Information brochure about the city with interesting info in the room. We booked it last minute on our way to Sonora and it was a very pleasant surprise. I feel lucky that we could book the last available room. Totally worth the money, I would happily return anytime.

Excellent lobby; excellent room , bathroom and shower. They need air conditioning in the lobby and in the breakfast room. They need four waffle making presses not one only.

Body wash empty in room. Men’s bathroom in lobby had no paper towels and no soap. Girlfriend told front desk and the body wash arrived about one hour later. Seriously.

The location was perfect for what we needed. The staff as extremely kind and flexible. We requested extra pillows and they were so nice about our request--not at all put out. I also was a bit undecided on whether we wanted an upstairs or downstairs room and Amber met my indecision with patience and kindness. I really appreciated it.

They did a really lovely job with the renovation of the old motel, rooms were small but clean and comfortable. the beds were very comfortable but unfortunately the pillows were not, they were weirdly hard, like sleeping on a yoga brick. I think if they got new pillows it would be a dramatic improvement. the location was perfect. Sonora is a cool little town, wish we had discovered it sooner!

The pillows were terrible! The HVAC was out in the main lobby so the breakfast room was pretty unbearable.
