Comfortable bed, clean, great shower, appreciated the toiletries available…went the extra mile with toothpaste and shaving cream available! Good coffee maker able to brew 2 cups at a time. AC worked well! Also provided bottled water which was nice. Nice patio and sliding glass door. They had a good parking plan even when the structure was full. People at front desk very friendly and helpful. So close to the beach also!!!

Honestly, the only other thing I could have asked for was more coffee creamer! And maybe not to prop the garage entrance door open for added security. It was a great place to stay just steps from the beach!

Pros: great staff, excellent location, great f&b options nearby Hermosa beach was a pleasant surprise after the madness that was Venice beach, so we were off to a great start the moment we got there. The property is a literal stone's throw from the beach, and there's a great Mexican place right next door offering some of the best local fare. It's also close to a bike rental place with a wide range of choices. Shout out to the father-son duo who run the place -- very helpful folks, gave us some good recommendations!

What is not to love about Hermosa Beach? The Inn's location is fantatic. The only reason it is not "beach front" is because there is a small building in front of it, which neighbor's a beach front "park" (it's tiny). I specifically chose the 2nd floor corner unit with an ocean view. Sure, it is set back a bit because of the park, but for this price point, it really is great. I am here for a 2nd night (separate reservation because we ended up staying another unplanned night and instead of going someplace new, we came right back) and right now the patio door is open to the sounds of the ocean. :) The luggage cart at the ground level is SO great. No need to lug everything up the stairs. The 2 Queen room we are in with an ocean view is nice and roomy with beds facing opposite ends of the room instead of side by side, which offers a better separation of space. The balcony is nice to have, as well. In room ironing board and iron are a welcome item that most places do not have unless you ask. Also, the table and 3 dining chairs instead of a the standard desk is much more useable. Can we talk about water pressure, and how it is usually rather pitiful at most comparable places? Not an issue here, and the rain shower style shower head is SO nice.

Beds each have 2 pillows. I need 2, so does my husband. I feel like 4 is pretty standard at most places. Comfy pillows, though. Beds are pretty firm. We are tall and the bathroom sink is SO low. It is also small and water gets all over the countertops, so your items get wet. I had to line the counter with the hand towels.

Room was fairly spacious and had a nice balcony. Flat screen TV was huge. We were there for the Santa Cruz Triathlon and the Grandview is about a tenth of a mile from the transition area, so that's great for race morning. We've stayed in the ocean view rooms before and those are great, but the non-view rooms are fine too. The ocean is so close by and many restaurants in walking distance. We mostly walk to everything once we get there. Parking is free and its in a garage under the rooms, so very convenient.

We would prefer it if they would let us bring our bikes to our rooms. We don't like the idea of storing them in their locked area (available for a small fee per day - I think it $5/bike) and so kept them in the car. The fee wasn't the problem, we just don't like them out of our control. It made it more complicated to prepare the bikes for the race and made the car less useful for driving with friends, but otherwise the stay was great.

The hotel is located right by the beach: literally just a few steps to the strand, without crossing a street. The hotel has a parking garage attached, and you do not pay extra to park. You can walk to shops, cafes, and bike along the strand.

The rooms need to be updated with better furniture: we had two desk chairs and one old lounge chair slightly torn and with a base that created a rusty ring on the carpet. The carpet itself had a big discolored spot in a prominent space around a foot in diameter.

Location location location! Once we parked the car we never drove it again for the six days we were there. The rooms are very spacious, very very clean, very comfortable mattresses, great balcony with ocean front view and very quiet. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice. It’s a little pricey but definitely worth every penny for the location & ocean view. I would definitely stay again!

The rusted out shower head and light fixture in the bathroom. The worn chairs and furniture in the room. For the price of the room you would expect everything to be well maintained. My review score would’ve been a 10 except for this.

location couldn't have been better and the rooms were nicer than they looked online.

Definitely could use some more kitchen items. simple things like a spatula, cutting board and chopping knives were missing form our room. Also maybe a rug on the living area floor the large cold floor was specially cold if the AC was running.

The location is perfect and Niral always takes the best care to ensure a pleasant stay. Everything is clean and comfortable and it is always a smooth process checking in/out — Niral and her team really make you feel right at home. I look forward to returning and have shared this wonderful experience with family and friends.

Location, spacious room, comfy bed and having Netflix. The internet was really slow but they were very quick to rectify it, which was great. Responsive staff. Quiet but in the heart if Hermisa beach. Loved the sea view

There are no drawers and very limited space for clothing. Some of the furnishings are a little tired.

We had a nice size room (suite) and there was a convenient walk of 3 minutes to get to the Hermosa Beach Pier.

No towel racks in bathroom, no towels (paper or cloth) in kitchen. And no dresser or luggage stand (has to put suitcase on bed to access each time). Little things that would have made a more comfortable experience.
