I would suggest a different option for the ice machine. I felt like a pest to keep asking for ice. It is summer and beach time, everyone was asking for ice.... Also, I would really recommend a different clean solution for your hotel rooms floors. I made mention that my floor was very slippery, even bare foot, it had a film of sort on it and after slippinga few times, I slightly sprained my ankle.(i told the front desk and they said it might still be wet). That was not the case.... My husband slipped as well. Im attaching a photo of my ankle this morning. It made my Sunday a little tough to walk back and forth to the beach on it.... SOMETHING TO HIGHLY CONSIDER...

The hotel isn’t too big and the location is amazing. They have a parking garage and a small, nice gym. Staff was polite. Room size is decent and the rooftop terrace is also nice.

It’s too expensive for what you get. Parking is 20$ per night, the “breakfast” consists of few in plastic wrapped items. 10$/day for renting a beach umbrella is also not worth it. Additionally, we requested a late check-out but on our last day they said it wasn’t possible. Side note: One night the fire alarm was going off at 2 am. Luckily it was a false alarm but of course we still got up and were awake for quite some time. No one ever apologized for the inconvenience.

We had a wonderful stay at H20 Hermosa. The staff were professional and kind, the bed and room were so cozy and comfortable and the whole hotel was incredibly clean. Perfect location right by the beach, a short walk to the main strip of Hermosa and a nice walk to Manhattan Beach. We didn’t want to leave!

Nothing we didn’t like! But I wouldn’t say it’s value for money. However everything in the US is expensive so it is not out of the norm and especially considering the location. We didn’t mind the paper bag breakfasts as others have mentioned because we aren’t huge breakfast eaters. Though some toast might have been nice and some drinking water in a jug perhaps.

Recently remodeled hotel with a very nice lobby and hallway areas. Two free EV charging stations (though one was blocked by a Ferrari taking up two spots...). Consistently friendly and helpful staff who called us when our room was ready. In particular, one staff member moved his car to give us extended access to the second one, which really made our trip easier. Room well sized and clean. No issues with storing our bikes in the room (huge elevator helped us get up there too). Location as good as it gets.

Bathroom shower slightly older than rest of room and very high water pressure, plugs next to bed were a little loose/patchy with making connection

The H2O is a modern boutique hotel with a small number of rooms. It is located right in downtown Hermosa Beach, a short walking distance to all the night life in Hermosa Beach (on Pier Avenue) and just a block from the Strand (bike/walking path next to the beach). The rooms (and bathrooms) are very spacious, clean and modern. Each room appears to have its own outside balcony with plenty of room for two guests. There is also a common rooftop area with seating and tables. Hotel staff are very friendly and attentive. Parking (at an extra charge) is conveniently located on the ground level right underneath the hotel. It's hard to beat all of the amenities this hotel has to offer.

The hotel and our stay were excellent - we have no complaints what-so-ever. However, all this comes at a price. The hotel's bang for the buck will cost you a pretty big buck. On top of the nightly room rate there was a $20 resort charge (this is clearly stated when you book - it's not a hidden fee). While the hotel was superb and located very close to the beach - a resort is a poor description and the charge is not warranted - especially when it's on top of an already pricey nightly room rate.

Though not on The Strand, it was just a block away. Hermosa Ave location was near Pier Ave, where many of the restaurants and cafes were located. So no establishment restaurant, but so near the ones in the locale area. This gave you a quiet place to retreat. H2O was designed to keep the noise out, so traffic noise from Hermosa Ave was kept at Bay, aa well. The staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful. They took the initiative to ask and follow through on inquiries. Very accommodating as to an early check in! Overall, the atmosphere is very European. The bathroom was clean and nicely finished. No shower curtains buy a nice glass door. And the water flow from the shower head was excellent. Closet and storage space was more than adequate. Double-ply toilet paper. No skimping there!

Neopresso coffee maker was very quick but roared when heating water up. For dome reason the resulting coffee produced seemed to be wanting. Toilet paper dispenser was a far reach behind you. Why was the toilet paper roll dispenser not ergonomically placed near one's knees for easy access? It could have hung in thf open shelf where the towels were stored and placed.

location very close to beach and the fun and vibrant pier area. also a very reasonable walk over to Manhattan Beach and pier. decent free breakfast. daily water bottles replenished. quality of amenities. toilet paper towels etc were all great quality. staff were so friendly and kind. always with smiles and hello. while we didn’t have a car, the parking seemed super convenient and relatively inexpensive for the area.

Electrical outlets in our room were very iffy. we reported this on checkout and they plan to look into it. Minor gripe but the bill on checkout did not look like the booking.com room rates which I had already paid. on inquiry there was a minor difference in the hotel price compared to the site so they charged me $3. not a big deal so I paid it but hotel and such providers should strive to eliminate such disconnects. when site tells me I have paid all possible fees and taxes I expect that to be true.

location & nice & helpful staff & lobby smelled amazing & clean & the coffee & continental breakfast was nice. we were given an hour later check out since our flight didnt leave till midnight. our room had a nice balcony too

we were assigned a nice large handicap room( not by request) but it had adjoining room w/ lock out door which was not very soundproof ( you could see light undef the door) & the family next to us had a young child & baby & they had tv turned up very loud & we could hear every noise & the banging of their door late night & starting at 6:30 am so we did not get much sleep but they moved to another room the next day & noone checked in so it was much quieter & we slept great.

The location was amazing. A short walk to the beach and restaurants and a good base to explore further afield. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Tyrone in particular made us feel at home and was a huge help with bookings and restaurant recommendations. The breakfast grab bags were unexpected but very convenient especially for my children. The rooms were so spacious and the beds very comfortable. I was also provided with a cot for my baby which was surprisingly great quality.

Although I personally appreciated the shower pressure it was too much for my children who are both under 5 years. There was space in the shower to improvise so it didn’t cause any huge issues.

The hotel is in a great location, less than a minute to the beach and less than two minutes to the pier and numerous bars and restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay and were always on hand with any questions we may have had. There were tea/coffee making facilities in the room (no milk though - but you could get this from reception), and the complimentary breakfast was ample. Parking was on-site and under the rooms, we had no issues parking although if at full occupancy you may need to leave your keys to allow them to get more cars in, no issue for us though. Finally, it smelt fantastic, no idea what they were using but it was really fresh and clean all of the time.

There isn't much to say that wasn't great, it was expensive but it was in a great location for the beach and bars, is that a negative? Our room although very clean did have some minor signs of wear and tear, marks on some of the walls and some minor chips in the bathroom furniture, nothing that would prevent me from staying here again though.
